So, prestige makes you lose everything just for a new emblem? Seems like a waste.

Well, after while, you sort of get bored with the game. Starting new is refreshing, and like I said, you do get extra custom class slots in this one.

A lot of extra titles, emblems, extra challenges, etc. Plus the class slots. Kind of cool recording your stats for more weapons, beyond 1000 kills... I know I have over 2500 on the SCAR now, 1500 ish on the Mp5, etc.

Well it was not good night for me and there was little enjoyment playing the game tonight. I can only recall one good game of 15-2-7 and that was early in the evening before watching Chuck and 24. All the rest of my games were pretty meh, with most of them ending with a score like 8-3-10 or some similar ratio. I was never able to find any kind of rhythm in any of the games and only recall calling in one killstreak reward with a Predator Missile, as I went aggressive (for me at least) with a 5-7-9 killstreak combination.

Anyone wanna help me out with spec ops? No one is ever willing to play with me. I'm trying to get to 100% trophies and I only have 5 left before I get the platinum trophy.

Don't feel bad, nobody likes helping with the special ops. When I get around to it, I'm gonna do it with my buddy on X360, as Xbox has good, easy to use headset. :D

I'm going through the game again and picking up the intel items I missed but thats only for the last intel trophy. I still need I think 16 stars in spec ops.

I just noticed on the second to last mission when you infiltrate the caves if you take out all the guards in the immediate area the TV has a security feed from four cameras from the gulag.

You're a tad noisier than me on that map. I play Derail like a ghost, and almost always flank the enemy - you may have noticed I always wonder off on my own when we start. My patience and insistence on staying stealthy makes me take shots I am certain I can make. The M21 gives me superior range and precision, but I am lacking up close... while the USP is fairly reliable, without stopping power I can only take 2 guys tops with the silencer on it. I still use it over the machine pistols due to the speed I can get it out at, but any suggestions would be nice.
Oh trust me, I am no fan of what I did on that map, run and failing. I tried to snipe on there but the lag is not just bullet but actually visual, the scope would lag around a bit so I decided to be 'Loud and Proud' :D.

Tell me about it, I caught TheCracker using [8==D], pfft I would never be so immature.

It's actually 3==D :dopey:

Should really change it to 3=D :guilty:

Talking about CoD4, i think once i've Prestiged for the second time on MW2 (i'm at 62 or 63 now, i think) I'll go back to CoD4 to get to 'Gold Cross 55' as well.

I'd be at a similar level to you if my save hadn't cocked up and reverted me back a level as i'd mentioned before. Although i've finally got into MW2, i still feel like i've got unfinished business with the previous game. I'll see you in Vacant or Crossfire sometime soon ;)

Callsign at the mo:

Haha, I looked at it sideways cause it looked liked =D but apparently somebody here likes to promote certain things :dopey:.

Finally I can get my callsign and such exactly how it's been for god knows how many levels

I've switched it up massively this morning trying an all out UMP rush set up, lightweight, marathon, commando, in order to try get the pro versions of all of those and it worked out nicely, might even try get the Tac Knife for the USP to go with it. Then I'm going to work on SitRep Pro, which will take a long time with the amount I play. I do enjoy the new rush set up, nice change of pace to my normal quite slow and ranged approach, once I unlock lightweight pro I might swap for CB Pro and see how that works to.

Wheres the link to make and paste these call signs?

ive found it i think.

I finally got the AC130 1000 kills title and emblem. The rotating COD4 prestige 10 symbol is pretty cool. :D

You got it legitimately James?

Ignore. I read it wrong, i thought you'd already got to level 10 Prestige in MW2!

I would love to help but it sounds like you are onto the hard ones. I've still got get a lot of the stars from the lower ones... So we could try help each other? I dont have a headset yet but I have ordered one. :)

The trick to SitRep is HC and FFA, and just finding a lobby with some claymore happy people. You find the right batch and you can get it done in 15 games. And then, if you use sound heavily like I do, your mind will be blown. Though testing earlier showed it doesn't work as well as I'd have hoped on Ninja Pro users.

Certainly if you help me I'll help you. I'm down to I think 14 stars needed now. I beat snatch and grab on veteran finally and I also beat homeland security and hidden on veteran earlier. I was sooooooooooo close to beating war driving on veteran but I got nailed at the end while I didn't have a weapon out :dunce:

I still need to finish all of echo ops on veteran, war driving and estate takedown on veteran and both of the two player ops.

For some of them I may be more hinderance than help... butI'll try my best. Grag offered me his services for Spec Ops so I'm sure he would be able to help out as well.
I have done the AC130 2 player mission on veteran so that should be alright. :)
I still have a lot of stars to get. Me and a friend started going through them one day but he had to go and I've not tried since.
Hopefully we can do this sometime. Any preferences to time/day? I am off school from thursday afternoon till the wednesday after so should be good :p

I just need another person so I wont get swamped at the end every time. I've been so close to beating these last few ops by myself but it always comes down to the end and getting flanked or something. The only ones that I haven't beaten at all are the two player ops the others I've beaten at least once just not on veteran.

I usually play in the afternoon and into the night. I am -6GMT.

Ok
I'll be online tonight. Just message me on psn and ill fire up MW2 :)

I will let you know how sitrep helps out with the ninjapro users for use turtlebeach headphone users:tup: Without sitrep pro I can hear people coming a good ways off. Like last night I was in the very top of the one building on quarry that has the catwalk you can get to from the tall ladder on the outside of the building and heard someone walking on the outside of the building, went to the window and popped them as they were hugging the building crouching around.

Haha. :P

I'm only half way through Prestige 6. :) Though if I only played S&D and played a bit more than I do then I'd probably be 9th or 10th by now. :)

Oh, only 6th. :ouch:

I get way more points just playing HCTDM than any other game type, I seem to be the only one though. Everyone else plays SnD or other types to get points, I usually end up with at least 3k each match which isn't bad and I hate SnD and those game types because they know where you are going and you get killed so easy and just have to sit and wait for the match to be over, I want to play not sit and wait!

EDIT: I'm now a level 16 1st prestige and really missing my cold blooded pro and ninja pro.....

Well so much for laying off this for a while. I enjoyed each game I played on COD4 but I just got bored of spawn trapping the enemy team, in the end I quit a domination match at 69-7 with 50 points left to get. I will get to 10th, just not without playing more MW2 inbetween.

Didn't do so well when I played with Eric and someone else from GTP, so sorry the PSN escapes me, I lagged out slightly due to being connected with American players, so I only managed just over even K/D in most games. However I lol'd at my noob 50.cal tactic I learnt from COD4, when someone runs fire as many round as possible and try to scare the hell out of them with all the noise, it got the kill so I was happy.

Definitely missing Cold-Blooded Pro and Ninja Pro too, I need to be Silent!

If you have a silencer and shoot will you show up on your enemys radar? I was just wondering as there seems to be no perks for attaching a silencer to your gun, just decreased range.....

The perk of the silencer is it doesn't show you when you fire on the enemies radar, silence.
It still makes a nice little noise so if your really paying attention you can tell where its coming from, well I can but I have jam out headphones I use:tup:

I play on a 650 watt 5.1 system. My room mate has joked about how the elderly neighbors are going to think the Taliban invaded or something. And I sound whore quite a bit, but where SitRep really helps is making it easier to tell your friends from foes, because it reduces the volume of friendly foot steps. Makes it easier to sound whore around a team not using Ninja Pro, and enemy foot steps are loud enough I don't need the volume at "Epic 11ty" to hear them clearly.

Honestly, it is one of my favorite perks now. Plus, since it lights up claymores, tactical insertions, and C4 from a mile away, I call it camper vision. I've had numerous times where I just see a couple of claymores in a building, lob a grenade in, and get a kill or two. And if you have a mic (which I need to get) you can alert your team to claymore positions and possible campers.

No, and they won't hear your missed shots when they wizz pass them either. Just a feint noise when they are actually being hit.

EDIT: Tree'd
