^Sounds strange... Maybe lag? If its not a weird error in the game then AUG HBAR takes 2-3 bullets to kill in non-hc match.

Don't you get an extra one each time you prestige?

I despise non-Hardcore at times. I just shot you four times with a LMG and you're not dead, hmm.

Every other prestige. I play mostly HC and I have never had to shoot anyone 4 times with any gun to kill them in HC, might have been a connection issue.

We both had 4 hits registering. It's rare that both shooter and "victim" (though I wasn't - I put an EBR round into his head) can compare notes, but we both saw 4 hits register.

I have had 4 hits in core plenty of times, even with the radical scar, but never had that in HC. This is just silly, anyone do anything like this in domination?

I cant get the video to embed for some reason so heres the link to it on youtube

I understand what you are saying, but that is not the case normally. Even a pistol should kill with 4 hits. I think it sound like a wierd lag issue.. AUG should kill with 2 hits at close range and 3 at long range just like SCAR and other powerful guns like ak47.

We're not talking about hardcore. In fact, that was the point as to why we prefer hardcore...

Famine
He shot me 4 times with AUG HBAR in a non-HC Demolition match at Sub Base and I didn't die.

The lag issue is nullified by the fact we both saw the same thing. Plenty of times in killcams I've thought I've plowed a load of bullets in to someone, only to find I hadn't. This wasn't the case with Famine and I.

Am I the only one who thinks noob tubes and thumpers should be banned from hc it just wrecks the game, mainly in headquarters where they just fire them in and collect kill its ridiculous.

I have had some wierd sitiuations like that to (although I have not had it confirmed by the other player like you guys), I find it strange and dont understand why it happen, but one thing is sure; its not supposed to be that way normally.

I didn't read the "non" part in his post for some reason, my brain just read the hardcore. I guess since 99% of people put core and hardcore, not non-hardcore. I was confused because I have never had that happen in HC, but yes I have had it happen plenty of times in Core though.

Has anyone tried using the Shotgun attachment on an assult rifle? its pretty good and is normally a 1 shot kill, ive been using it alot recently on my F2000... also as I also use Stinger as secondary weapon it can be pretty useful in built up areas.

However, for non-hardcore I wouldn't bother with the silencer as you are usually seen too easily anyhow. I would run red-dot and FMJ in non-hardcore but it would have to be a fairly cautious game.

Oh how very wrong you are. People go tunnel vision in Softcore games because they think they know where everyone is by checking the map and using a Heartbeat Sensor. You could lie down right infront of someone for ages and they will not notice you.

Use a silent setup in Softcore and your almost guaranteed a positive KD.

I tend to say hardcore and softcore :D

but yes I have had it happen plenty of times in Core though.

It's one of the reasons I find softcore so frustrating. It's like amplified lag - because it takes so many more rounds to down someone, there's an increased chance that you won't kill someone you think you've shot.

thats not what I heard...

That picture is wrong. Very wrong.

No it isn't. He shot me 4 times with AUG HBAR in a non-HC Demolition match at Sub Base and I didn't die. All four hits registered for both of us (I got the red arc of doom four times, he got the X hit detector four times). I wasn't Painkillered at the time.
The only things I can see here are:

Did he have stopping power on?
If you hit the arm or leg with a sniper it causes a hit marker, if you hit the body (intervention and barret) it will kill in one hit. I get the feeling the same happens with every other gun, maybe he hit you in the leg a couple of times and then moved up to the arms. If he had stopping power on, what I just said shouldnt matter, stopping power = below 4 shot kills.

I quite like the FAL but under no circumstances should you ever put a silencer on it. It turns into the weakest most pathetic little pea-shooter around, I'd struggle to wound a fly.

29-4-0 on Rundown in Core TDM with a Silenced/Holo FAL with Stopping Power. Still a 2 or 3 shot kill most all the time.

Yeah, but we play hardcore a lot, and as such I also find the FAL to have plenty of power silenced. I can see where it might lose out in wussy non-hardcore modes. :D However, for non-hardcore I wouldn't bother with the silencer as you are usually seen too easily anyhow. I would run red-dot and FMJ in non-hardcore but it would have to be a fairly cautious game.

Wussy is relative. Nearly everyone and their mom camps like it is going out of style in HC TDM. I often get tired of people sitting in obscure corners of the maps, just waiting and waiting; you see it a lot on Sub Base and Invasion, people sitting on those dock like parts of the map way out there. I've played with you guys and I tend to score well, but it often comes down to a test of patience.

FAL + any sight + silencer is an excellent sub for a sniper rifle. It is a single shot kill weapon at medium range - on Estate, I can pick off snipers on the boathouse roof from behind the house fairly easily with it, especially with the thermal sight - although that reduces the weapon's run'n'gunnability. I tend not to fire from the hip, force of habit.

I carry one with either shotties or a machine pistol for inside use or running from location to location.

I use the FAL with the ACOG + Silencer often in HC TDM games, packing a USP or PP2000 as a secondary. Though, the PP2000 could be a stand alone weapon in HC pretty easy with its damage, accuracy, and rate of fire.

... and while I'm here on a rare posting visit... is it me, or are there simply not enough custom class slots! Wah!

I have eight slots. I only use 3 or 4 generally, with the others being for certain moods/play styles (dealing with camping, domination games, etc) that I could just change up pre-game generally.

I tend to say hardcore and softcore :D

The HBAR is a 3 shot kill in softcore with Stopping Power, sometimes a 2 shot kill. If you didn't die after 4 shots, some passed through a wall or barrier I'd say. And I have plenty of experience with it in core, around 1000 kills with a variety of sights and setups. Now, if there was a silencer on there, I've found it impacts the damage of the LMGs more than it does ARs, so that could also be it.

The issue with HC and how easy it is is to kill people is it leads to people just kind of spraying a circle towards whatever they want dead. And it works because it only takes 1 or 2 shots to drop someone with anything.

On a side note, I was playing HC TDM and I found boosters. The guy doing the killing was on my team and I put an end to that rather quickly with a TK, followed by some more because they went back to the same spot to do it more. So I put a predator missile there. They left at the end of the game :p

The ACR has superb accuracy, but its Iron Sights drive me crazy and it lacks stopping power the SCAR has.
I still don't fully understand those stupid sights. Definitely not comfortable with them. At least I'm not the only one.
I got a 2 in english in school (6 is best) so i just have a feeling its really bad sometimes, but its nice to hear its not that bad 👍 I actually think my english has improved from being active on this forum in the last years
With the exception of a few(Brits!), our English isn't that great, so it's not like we notice anything. :p
That picture is wrong. Very wrong.
I was going to add you & also Kylie Minogue on the map, then I saw Danni Minogue already on Sydney, which took all fun out of it. lol

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH

I keep getting kicked from parties I'm in. I'll be in a party, play two or three games fine, and then, for no apparent reason I'll get "game lobby closed" while we wait for the next match... even though the other people in the party end up in-game and playing! Frustrating as hell

My room mate feels your pain. We had this happen several times last night, even though he was all of 20 feet away plugged into the same router. I have no clue why the party system fails so bad sometimes...

A6M5, according to Eric, the impact point on the ACR is the top of the nib, not the middle of the cross. He has told me to just ignore it, but damn thing feels cluttered and drives me crazy. Not as crazy as the FAL's but up there a bit.

Speaking of the FAL some more, I have found with Holo and FMJ, it is a 2 shot kill at medium to close range without stopping power. Provided you hit them in the upper body. Gonna test it without FMJ now a bit and see how it feels, but it has replaced the SCAR again as my primary go to gun, provided I don't need additional attachments. Why the attachment bit? The FAL's iron sights are FAIL sights, so the SCAR gets used where I am sneaking around with Scavenger or the HBS.

As a side, since going back to the FAL, my accuracy has climbed .10% in a day. Which is impressive considering I have nearly 420,000 total shots.

I shoot low anyway, so I aim just below the tip.

Thats why when I get lobbed into a game like that I usually come out on top in score and K/D. I will just put on my rush class, its named todays Tom Sawyer by the way:sly: and then make my rounds on the outskirts cutting away at everyone laying around. And when I do get killed and I'm viewing teammates, if I see the same person sitting in the exact same spot camping for more than 2 viewings while waiting to respawn, I usually go to them and toss both flashbangs and if they don't get the message I tend to cut them next:dopey: If your going to lay on a mound of dirt and get 2 kills the entire match for the team jog off.

I've found myself using 9 sensitivity O.o

I usually use(d) 5 or 6; I tried 10 a while back and ended up spinning around in circles... but I had to jump straight to 8 when I booted up MW2 for the first time in a week the other day, as everything felt a bit sluggish. Since then I've upped it to 9, and by tomorrow I bet I'll be using 10 - the same setting that made me dizzy all of a month ago

I use 3. I find I can make smoother adjustments to my aiming at 3, but it is still fast enough to let me track as a sniper most of the time. I could give 4 a try out, but this seems to be working for me.

Nope. Line of sight - hence my putting him down with an EBR to the face.

Which is how it ought to be. You can kill anyone in real life with any gun with one shot, if placed right. Softcore also exaggerates the ridiculousness of many guns taking many shots to kill compared to a one-hit-kill with a throwing knife - or the age-old CoD issue of putting a couple of rounds into someone at close range before they stab you in the elbow and kill you.

That said, Hardcore isn't without its faults. Last I checked, being shot in the toe isn't fatal... But for me the faults are fewer - softcore exaggerates lag, exaggerates the impact of perks and doesn't reward accuracy or punish "collateral damage". Which is why I don't bother with softcore.

A week ago I was using 6 sensitivity, I put it on 9 and after a day or twos practice I can use it fine now, it feels awesome.

yeah I'll say...

Just noticed it says kills...I meant shots. I'm approaching 40,000 kills though.

EDIT: Oh I see what you did there...

On the PP2000 - with extended mags, it could very well be an SMG. Just went 51 4 13 at on Karachi playing Domination in Ground War using it on my sniper. Only 1 kill was with the sniper rifle... kill streaks were nothing fancy either, Pred - Harrier - Pavelow. Called them all in twice at least. Needless to say its a highly effective weapon at SMG ranges.

Famine, my only issue with HC is just how people play it... its just slower paced since everyone is trying to sneak about, and you still run into grenade spam from time to time. And it can be played run and gun style, quite successfully at times, but still, just the randomness of some of it is excessive. Namely, the rather arbitrary bullet penetration nature in the game. Sometimes they'll go through 6 inches of concrete but not a bit of sheet metal, etc.

If you want to raise your accuracy then FAMAS or M16 is the weopon to use.. I have used FAMAS in the 2 last prestiges and my accuracy has raised from around 18 to 20%..and still going up in every cod session I have. Alot of knifing helps to :D

Woohoo, popped my nuke cherry today :) Then got another one in the very next game! Exciting stuff

Variety is the spice of life :D

Plus you can TK boosters.

Yeah, but that applies in softcore too. My favourite is the bulletproof roof garden in Favela.

You can also stand on the plants, which makes for hellish noob camping.
