so ive adopted a bit of a suicidal approach to the last spec ops mission since im usually without a co-op. when i did it on normal, i just ran around them using the small buildings. but, ive also found that the revention with thermal scope can take them down fairly quickly. granted it takes an entire mag to do so. just camp out by the outside ammo box. when they spawn, they walk around the corner and if you shoot first, they don't get the chance to fire back. but, i know this wont work when they start coming in pairs.

i need a new co-op partner.
 
Great game guys! We won 5-6 games in a row.(at least before I got off).

I know now that if I set my killstreaks to 3,4,5 I generally do better. I guess it is because I'm not under the pressure to get, say, an 8 killstreak or anything.

Hacked the game save almost 3 months ago. I haven't been playing a lot lately so that is why I'm still not level 70.
 
Yeah, great games. We all did pretty good, but what is up with the cry babies tonight? Even when I played a couple after you guys, there are kids bickering at each other. Seriously, I lost some brain cells listening to this:

angry older kid - why you sound like a 7 year old? maybe 8.

angry young kid - well.... your prediction is wrong!

angry older kid - you sound like a girl!

angry younger kid - again, your prediction is wrong! @#$#% you, @#$@##%!

angry older kid - you @#$#@% I'm gonna kill you like 10 times! @#$@#%@

angry younger kid(now slightly shaken, but acting cocky) - good luck....

Then the older kid, who end up on the team start talking to us like we care, trying to pump us up. And first bunch of kids we played against, they sounded like 10 year olds after five cups of starbucks. After that, some teenage kid, I thought he was going to cry, as he was cursing out the [GTP] campers. I usually don't camp, so it was probably Tsukuba or Azuremen he was referring to, I'm guessing. :p

I wasn't camping either. In fact I was sucking that game. I use SitRep so people accuse me of camping because if I hear them I'll stop and take cover and wait the 2 seconds for them. But man, that kid was so whiney, was embarrassing.

We have a small group going right now btw, if anyone is interested...

All you get is one on MW2 unlike COD4. The way you can get two is to use scavenger and when you kill someone go over the body and you will resupply with another claymore giving you two. If you have two down and get another and place it the first one you set will explode when you set that one. A good trick I used before prestige is to get OMA class and set a claymore with it and then switch to a class with C4 and throw the C4 down on the claymore. No matter if they are running fast, jumping, have sitrep pro, it doesn't matter what the deal is they will be blown to bits with it like that, The C4 gives it huge range so they can't get away from it.

You can also put two down if you put one down then one man army it.
 
You may be the only one with a full bar connection, the easiest way to check is to press select the second you are in a game and if you are the first one with full bars you are the host.
 
The first thing I do when I join a game, is mute everyone I don't know. And if someone I know makes too much noise (maybe a bad microphone) I mute him too.
I rely heavily on sounds, so someone talking loudly without giving useful information gets an instant mute.
 
I used to do that in CoD4 but I only mute people now who make too much noise. As you say, hearing is a major part in this game. I find kids tend to make too much noise and then those people with mics with tonnes of static, drives me insane.
 
And even though it says that I have a mic, it's only the USB adapter plugged in the PS3.
I rarely take the time to plug in my mic.

For sure tough to get kills with, I have never been killed by one, really the only way you can get killed by one is if your camping :dopey:

Yep. That's why I find it brilliant at Wasteland. You've got four targets where people camp - the church, the graveyard, the Russian helicopter and the two Western houses.

The problems with the Javelin are manifest - you have to have clear line of sight to your target (even though the missile doesn't follow that path) and you have to wait for it to lock on. Which means that you can be seen by the snipers you're trying to blow up for the entire time you're aiming. Still, bolt some Danger Close onto it and you're laughing.
 


Anyone care to test this out? Apparently works after 1.09 too.

EDIT: Also anyone who plays Demolition or HQ Pro around 6-9pm GMT add me (PSN is my Username), I'd like to play with more GTP'ers.

There's a Barrett at the start which will get the job done nicely, I assume you're talking about the juggernauts on the oil rig. If you still have trouble, drop me a message :)

This is most definately true, and not only is the pressure off but you get more rewards more of the time which can often straight up cancel the gain you could have had by one big reward in a game, especially if said reward is shot down.

They might have been referring to me in that one match we had in Sub Base. They were all coming through the same doorway in the square room with the fenced-off square in the middle. I just whipped out my SPAS12 with Sleight of Hand/Stopping Power and kept pumping it into anyone i saw for insta-kills. It's not camping if they keep coming at me. :lol:
 
How do you tell if you are the host? Also, what do the little dog tags mean next to some peoples name when you view the in game list?
 
Well I've not been host in any games I played tonight so I'm pleased again. No idea why it was making me host every single game for the last two days.

Also I think I need to revise my playstyle, Silent still works but I'm using it all wrong all to often, so many times have I been 10-0 to finish the game only a couple of minutes later 12-9.
 
For ONE HOUR this morning I havent played ONE GAME. Every single game has started off with lag and either failed migration or just booted everyone. NOT ONE GAME IN AN HOUR, this is ridiculous.

EDIT: I am FINALLY in a game but it has 2 and 1 bar, joy.

EDIT: That game just ended in a huge lag spasm so I am off this crap for a while. I cant believe this game, the least they could have done is bought servers, the way they do it right now is rubbish.

I haven't had a single connection problem since I got internet in my house instead of leaching wifi to play, that was just horrible at times. I was having a problem with it earlier in one game but it was because of some douche bag using a lag switch, you can't con a con or trick a trickster....you just can't.

Also thanks for the answer on those Famine, I always wondered what the deal with the dog tags was but could never remember to google it. Makes since now that you say that, dog tags, dead, yeah I'm great at puzzles....
 
Whats annoying me most is the fact that I never usually have connection issues. Its just the fact that they use peers to host and not a proper server. If they had proper servers then this game would be not only equal for all players but much quicker and fun (quicker as in, quicker joining of games).

EDIT: For gods sakes, first game back and it screws up AGAIN. Searched for a Search and Destroy, migrates my server with 5 people in it to a Free For All server, WTF?

EDIT 2: So im finally in a game and at the start of every round there is a 20 second lag spaz, seriously thinking about selling this game.

EDIT 3: It migrated to an american host putting EVERYONE on one bar, this is just ridiculous.

I had one earlier that I was doing so well in, there was about 2 minutes left and I was at 32-1-2 and had just called in my harrier, the harrier hadn't even bombed yet and the host left and it said migrating host and then back to the home screen with lost connection to host! AAAAHHHHHHH! That's only the 2nd time that has ever happened to me though, but why did it have to happen with me having a score like that! That harrier would have got me some good kills and got me my pave low. The people on the other team just refused to shoot down any of my air support so it would have just raped. Lately when I get a harrier I will wait and then call it and the pave low in at the same time if they are shooting it down, seems to be more effective and last longer if they are both up at the same time. Either it kills them before they can shoot it or they just can't decide which one to shoot :) I'm giving multi a break for tonight and starting back on my single and going through and getting all my intel to get that done. I have tried going and playing the spec ops just to get my achievements but I just despise playing it, it's just not fun to me at all, nazi zombies wasn't fun for me at all either though. Seems like I'm the only person who hates both of them, what a party pooper I am.
 
Rightio, Im in a good game and guess what. I get called a damn thermal noob. Seriously? These people need to build bridges and walk over them. They put thermal in the game so I am entitled to use it, same with heart beat. Not like I have hacked to put them in there... I told him that if he didnt want to get killed by it there is plenty of counter measures he could have taken to not be seen. He said that if I didnt have it on I would never of seen him, NOT TRUE, some people are so stupid.

EDIT: I have just worked out that the incredibly high pitched voice in my match is a 7 year old, 7!?!?!? That is bad parenting for sure.

EDIT 2: MY GOD, how do these children get away with this. They are telling me to shut up, get out, piss off, all sorts and mixed in is some of the most disgusting language coming from under 9 year olds I have ever heard.

I would have said dead, but I remembered it also appears pre-match if the player hasn't yet chosen their class. So it's really "inactive" or "not spawned yet" or suchlike.

Anyway, in 6 hours of playing the day after v1.09, I didn't at any point both start and finish a match. Started loads, finished loads, but they were never the same game. Members of my party were chosen to be host despite their insistence not to be the party host because their connections couldn't support match hosting - including me several times.
 
I went through the intel deal last night and got back on multi because I couldn't sleep last night. I wasn't playing in the normal way though. What I was doing was going into FFA matches and spectating to see if there were any douche boosters, if there were I would then join the match and go straight to them and blow them out their boots. Its really funny how many people I found doing it and how many people that would send me messages talking crap or complaining about me killing them. Its FFA, so I kill everyone I see, you were also being jerks by boosting so you got it two ways. If you get bored set up a class to use and go into FFA's and spectate and find some boosters, funny the reactions you get after busting up the boost party.
 
Claymores are so much fun to use. I am sure I annoy a lot of people with them though. :lol:

EDIT: I just killed probably three people with Claymores in a Team Deathmatch game at Skidrow; I like Skidrow more having Claymores in my arsenal of weapons to use. :lol: Further, I managed two kills with the USP45 in the same game. Those kills were achieved during firefights in which I ran through a magazine in the SCAR-H, but needed to put the enemy down quickly and the instant switch to the pistol is a lifesaver. The near I am also just three kills short of unlocking Extended Magazines on the SCAR-H and having every attachment for it.

Last night I joined Legendary in an Aussie SnD server. First match was at Karachi and I went 7-1 with 1 defuse. Next match I went 8-0 with, again, 1 defuse. All with a 1 bar connection. :dopey:
