While I'm here, I had a terrible match on Highrise just now. The entire enemy team were camped out in various areas that meant we couldn't run out of our spawn without being killed. The spawn never changed either, we just kept appearing in the same area and then dying the moment we ran forwards. It was horrific. The same team then played us on Favela and every time I got killed it was by some guy sat in a corner or behind a box waiting for me to come by. Such a bunch of morons.
 
I just got a complete ownage sniper kill and have just been recruited to a sniping clan called aSu* which stands for Australian Sniper Unit...now being trialled

The morons are playing like the pros. Spawn traps are the single most effective way to win almost any mode and for that reason on the competitive scene they're not only ok, but recommended as is camping in various places. Thats why people do it, and thats why I don't hate on those who do even if I don't myself if I can help it. I know I'm not alone in this, check out the pre-frag cup coverage on Machinima Respawn and you'll see what I'm saying. It was the same years ago when I used to play on the GB ladders for Socom. For a while I used to really rage at campers and such but now I remember my own competitive days thanks to the Frag Cup, I can see why people do it in open games.
 
My clan tag is 'Perv'. Combined with the binoculars emblem and the Voyeur title I think it works quite effectively.

I can understand people doing it in competitive tournaments and the like since the aim is to win and not much else, but in normal everyday play they surely can't get any enjoyment from it? The game is meant to be fun, if you get into public lobbies and your only aim is to win no matter how much fun you have then you need to a serious look at your life. (Not you personally) It was clear from their Gamertags that none of them had any sort of social life outside of Live anyway.

I got asked to go in it and for some reason and there idea of trialling, like all noobs, is to quick scope and no scope. *sigh*

Ill keep trialling though.

That's because they want good videos for youtube, not good team players.
 
Its all failing and I am over it already. The server lagged like hell and because of IF's stupid ass design, people just joined and joined and joined the damn private match.Good work Infinity Ward, you are a bunch of genius's.

I couldn't agree more, thats why I got out of the competitive scene for Socom back in the day. People just get TO serious, the clan games were great fun having some serious and close matches, but practicing and such is boring as hell.

Exactly, for some reason everyone thinks quick scopes and no scopes are the pinnacle of skill for COD and it just isn't so. It's not all that if you spend alot of time doing it, a good player will have alot more then a good aim, a good aim is the icing on the cake.
 
My latest trick is to take down snipers from a mile away with a UMP45. A couple of burst shots and they don't know what's hit them :D Infact, I usually get the 'Most longshots' title at the end of the game when using it.

Agreed, I've had quickscopes that are definitely youtube worthy because it isn't a hard thing to do, I'm not even that good at the technique but I keep trying for the lulz.

Also TAR-21 anyone? Pretty darn good gun actually.

I've used the Tar 21 quite alot, although more from picking them up then actually selecting it, but plenty of time with it no less. It's a very good AR from what I've seen, but it doesn't have the same feel to take me away from my M16, though it may become my new full auto AR soon.
 
I am currently level 62 4th prestige and I dont see me prestiging again for a while. I dont play enough and I am going for the Barret Vomit camo and Sitrep Pro.

Oh yeah, tar with silencer, slight of hand pro, hardline pro or coldblooded pro, and ninja pro=win everytime. The tar doesn't need stopping power so it frees up that second slot which is nice for a change since I use allot of sub machine guns. I have now stopped using the scar for the M4, I need to use the scar for another month to finish up my mastery completely, I have the pretty little gold scar emblem but its not finished to the fullest yet. Think I have 300 more kills or so.
 
is anyone else getting messages over xbl about a 10th prestige room that costs 1200 ms points? :|
 
Yeah just ignore them, it's hackers trying to make money. You send them points, they invite you to a hacked game that gets you to level 70 10th prestige with 1 kill.

Then you get banned a few weeks later, probably.
 
Funnily enough (or not), the map pack is also 1200MSP. Draw your own conclusions.

You can't send MS points through xbl to my knowledge, you could message them the code for them to redeem the 1200ms points through xbl.

Apparently you can gift MS Points - you sign into your Live account on the MS Points website and there's an option to gift points to another ID or something.
