Oh ok, well the way I understood is how it worked in other games (e.g. Halo, CS) where if you had a laggy server you pretty much had to anticipate where the guy was going to run to/what he was going to do if you wanted to hit him. It's just so annoying, because don't get me wrong I still have a 1.2 k/d despite all this **** from IW, but it would be nice to play with Aussies more. I have no idea why they fixed it for Playstation only though, has anyone been able to uncover why?

Edit: a6m5, just be thankful that you're not swearing at the TV yet...haha
I know the feeling, I know what you are thinking and why you aren't liking the bad connection. The way you just described how you thought the lag was in this game is how it used to be in CoD4. This game has made lag easier but in CoD4 you had to lead an all that other lag prevention stuff. Also, I thought matchmaking was fixed in the first or second update and the 360 did get the update?!?

I swear all the time whilst playing MW2.
+1, you can get pretty peeved playing this game.

Swear? No, I never swear at the TV. Not me, never.........

EDIT: Nuke Survival Myth Revisited:

Yeah, it looks that way.

EDIT: I just called in a harrier and it took out the enemies chopper gunner, I was so proud. On that same killstreak I was 2 or 3 kills from a nuke and I was screaming at the team not to defuse the bomb so we could go for another round of demolition, what do they do? They defuse the friggin' bomb and I went fully ape ****. I now hate the person who defused it and he said it was the objective, I screamed that we could have gotten more match bonus at the end if it went another round, I was uber pissed. My second nuke went down the toilet cause of some dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb person. The round after I called in a sentry drop (forgot to change it when I unlocked it) and I threw it at the ground and I shottied an enemy who was gonna ambush me, he went into last stand and killed me. I screamed at the team mate not to take it, what does he do? He takes it and puts it in the worst place in the world. I was not happy then either.

Eh, it is just a game. Also, I always go for objectives, rather than assuming some kid (no offense meant) is going to get the nuke he is claiming he'll get.

But he would have gotten more points had he listened, we were almost guaranteed to win the next round because the other team were doing rubbish.

I'm sure it was frustrating for you, but you know it could've been a lot worse. Don't get me started on dumb teammates!

Edit: And like Azure sort of touched on, bottom line, the guy did his job.

Thats what I like about HC, if a teammate is doing something ridiculous like camping in one freaking spot for the entire match you can bet that he gets hit with my flashbangs and eventually knifed, same goes for the idiots that just stand in your way knowing your trying to get by or the ones that are sniping as you and decide they are going to just stand in front of you right in your line of sight, 2 feet from you:idea: Sorry for the never ending sentence there, just noticed it, so you know it was a rant....haha

And yes I understand about how you felt because of the nuke because its not like something that happens all of the time, but in another view he was doing what the point of the game was. TDM is a place for just getting kills.

Yeah, those idiots who stands right in front of your line of sight, where do they come from? Or you are in the building, and they decide to share the window with you?

I don't think I could ever purposefully kill a teammate, even in hardcore, but boy, I've been there!

I just played one match, and I think I'm done. At least for now. I just had the guacamole bacon six dollar burger from Carls', and it put me, like, in a food coma. I don't know what's going on, but my brain is damn near shutdown. Surprisingly, the only game I played was on Skidrow, and I went 18-4. My only non-chevron teammate went 20-19, I think? How could these guys be worse than this retard(me!). The other team had three, four prestigers in it, but they got owned pretty hard. :dunce:

Hes pretty darn good, that was all in S and D too, gotta love seeing 1000 and 500 pop up all the time.

I don't know why, but I've been on fire lately. Finally got my K/D up to 1.00. Had my absolute best match, 34-0-1 on Underpass. Did it kinda cheaply though, got my Attack Chopper and hid waiting for my AC130. Got the challenge for killing the entire enemy team in 10 seconds. After that was up I went and placed my Sentry Gun in the parking area and went prone looking under a truck. Went 30-0 before I got rushed by 2 guys. Might be time to switch in the Nuke to see if I can get one.

I am doing great too, my K.D is climbing back up fast, two days ago it was 1.26 and now it is 1.29 and just about to tick over to 1.30.

I don't have the game, but it looks like I'm going to buy it. (My son bought his own copy a month ago, my rented copy went to my nephews so they could play each other but I ended up buying it for them for Christmas)

So, my question is, how can I start an on line battle with only myself, my son and my nephews without any one else joining? I'd try it myself, but don't have a copy of the game and my son is playing his copy now (and has done so non stop for the past month).

When you boot up the online menu, on that screen is an option for private match, start that up and invite your son and nephews to the game via the PS menu. You can that set whatever settings you want. There is actually a problem with private match though, friends can join by looking at your name on the PS menu, pressing triangle and then pressing join session. That is quite an annoying flaw for me because I have a lot of friends. You could change your comment above your name to 'do not join' or something similar.

When I first got MW2 I had my own private matches to learn the maps.
I was in Afgan one time heading out of a bunker and Kelly came around the corner and I was like, WTF ???? :scared:

It was all quite confussing as she shot me down. :ouch:

There's an option to set the max amount of people for the private match. (if my memory serves me right)
So if you don't want other people to join, count the number of people you want to play with and use that as max amount.

Like Legendary said, you want to go into the private match from the main online menu, but looks like there is no way to keep from others to join in, if they choose to crash your game. I think you'd be alright though, as only people on your friends list can even see your game. You'd probably have the option to kick any unwanted guests as well.

Edit: And as I was trying to figure this thing out in the private match mode, Legendary crashes my private lobby.

Man, it looks as if I'm going to have to get a PS3 also because everyone on here plays the PS3 version. I take donations.... :)

How, I always wanted to know.

Apparently I scared him and he started the match :D.

We got out of that and went into a TDM, then this happened ending the match completely:

Sorry if it is a bit big :p, I forgot to resize.

For some absurd reason they only fixed matchmaking for the PS3 and not for the Xbox 360.

How do you do that??? Or what makes that happen???
Have you ever had it happen where the game just ends with an error message, maybe, lost local connection to host or something. That is just another game ending error message that is slightly different to the rest.

I usually play on XBL. In fact, I just prestiged on there just last night. I think I'm lv. 66 or so on PSN.

I remember playing with you one time I think it was WaW but I'm not sure, I was completely drunk:dopey: As you can tell if you click on my gamertag its been a long time since I have been online because it just says, offline:grumpy:

We've played CoD4 before for sure. As soon as I either reach lv. 70, or prestige, on PSN, I plan on starting on my XBL account again. It's quite a choir having to rank up two accounts. :indiff:

Its going to be quite a choir having to rank up with high level people having a bunch of cool perks and guns all around me when I eventually get the game :)

I prestiged, so as far as the perks & weapons go, I'm in the same boat. It wasn't that bad though. As soon as you rank up to lv. 4, you'll get your custom classes, and they give you M4, right off the bat! I think it's the lack experience that's going to hurt. At least you got to play for few hours already.

Thanks for the input, guys! 👍

I'll give it a shot next time I play. But, to stop people on my friend list from coming in to my games, can't I make myself 'not available' or appeared to be 'busy' or 'logged out' or something similar?

It wont stop them if they really want, you can be put as 'away' but it doesnt fool anyone when it says under your name that you are playing the game and what type of match.

EDIT: Ugh, ownage in TDM, thankfully he was on my team, note his name :p.
