So, anyone got any good NZ strategies? I've made it to Level 13, but someone opened the stairwell, and that's when we died. :indiff:

I do hope they think about releasing at least 1 new map for this mode. It's very fun, yet very tricky. Might also want to re-balance some of the zombies' health against certain weapons after Level 7.

Level 20, never went upstairs. Go with people with voice com so you can strategize. And also: RAYGUN RAYGUN RAYGUN RAYGU

PS: your sig is depressing

/\

First NZ was witha friend on mic. Level 11 :)

Then showed my other friend what its like and he killed us by opening upstairs

Only played NZ twice...

The sig lol

Yes people with headsets and experience

I've played it with a few other guys on split screen, obviously only two at a time, but its really hard, we only ever seem to get to round 6!:guilty: How are you guys making it to round 20. Is it four or more player then?

It's 4 players max, though, it really should be more when you consider the following after Level 7:
The difficulty
The zombies' large amount of health
Their hitboxes combined with the above
The amount of windows & the amount of rooms.

It really becomes too hard for 4 people when the entry points on the entire map are nearly 3 to 1.:indiff:

Try it with two players on split screen, and a small split screen at that! How do you get the ray gun that some of you talk of??

You use the ??? box in the Hell room, first floor.

Seems as well that the best strategy is too never open the second floor. The trench gun is about the only good thing up there, but it only helps so much (1 shell should kill multiple zombies grouped together, but it rarely does after a while). Flamethrower also works really well til' Level 10, then you have to pick your timing right with letting the gun cool down.

BTW, never open the closet upstairs. It's always a sniper rifle which is really only good pre-Level 10, unless you find a PTRS-41. If you can get that, you can really do some damage on headshots.

The zombies' large amount of health

On level 20, it took an entire magazine from the deployable browning MG (the one with the huge rectangular iron sight) to take out a group of 3 of them

I had the Browning and Ray Gun when we were doing NZ together, sounds great but a slight lag knocked off my every shot.

I can't play NZ now because of a glitch on the game, you lose all your single player data if you play co-op split screen it would seem, so I can't mission select etc and have to start a new to get NZ again.

Right I've just got this on PS3 having played it to level 20 on the 360 and doing fairly well in each game. I'm quite disappointed with the PS3 version to be honest.

First thing I noticed was just how many updates my PS3 needed after being switched off for only a month, each one took forever (my entire XBox dashboard updated in 20 mins, my PS3 update took about an hour). Once that was all done I loaded the game up and after resetting my router to sort out a connection issue, played a bit of co-op with my friend.

It was here I started noticing flaws in the PS3 system as a whole. At one point he got disconnected from me and so we needed to get in contact to regroup, but I couldn't for the life of me find a Party or Private Chat option. So we had to wait until one of us sent the other an invite. Then I noticed that the invites have no audible signal, so if you're looking away from the screen you have no idea if you've been invited by anyone.

We eventually re grouped and played some deathmatches and it was here I noticed the major flaw; slowdown. Compared to the 360 version the PS3 one appears ropey and not very well put together. The 360 version is fluid, smooth and feels solid. There was definite slowdown when a lot of textures appeared in one area and the guns don't feel anywhere near as responsive because of this.

Another thing I noticed is that my 'enemy' section in the after action report is blank. Is this normal for the PS3 version? On my 360 it shows me my K/D amount and my enemy from the game with a few stats, it's a nice touch that has so far been missing from my games.

Oh, and one last thing, why is there no option to join a friend in game when he's already playing? If there is one it's very well hidden...

For the zombie game wait to level 6 then open the door all of you try and get the ray gun and a heavy machine gun from the box and just hold them off as long as you can you need to talk to eachother work as a team me and my mates all using headsets got to lvl 18!

Me friends and I got to level 22 once... I swear the difficulty was randomly less for that try since the other attempts we could only get to level 18.

Pretty much we camp in the back room, without unlocking the upstairs since that complicates things. We have 2 people watching the main door, and 2 others at the windows and watching the broken wall. We have to tell each other when we're reloading if you're using MGs since leaving the door unprotected for a few seconds they come flooding in. :/

It's soooo much easier when you have Ray Guns (MGs become near useless above level 20) and full ammo powerups though - it's all down to luck really.

BTW, I'm at Prestige 4 lvl 52 so far, 3.27 K/D ratio. :)

Yep Treyarch has catered for the XBOX360 and PC owners very well indeed but they have shafted the PS3 owners big style.

The K/D stats used to work. I pre-ordered my copy and got it the day before release and everything worked perfect, no lagg, no host disconnections or really any issues.

But now it seems to have gone belly up .

I will play it again in the New Year, you can bet your bottom dollar that at Christmas online is going to get worse.

Can anybody remember how bad COD4 was online last Christmas.

So no one else really plays this online then?

All I can say to the people who give up on it quite quickly is that the game does get a lot better once you level up and unlock all of the guns and their attachments. You start off with fairly poor guns, but once you unlock the better submachine guns, their extended clips, and the flamethrower and M1A1 (which is the best gun I've ever come across out of COD4 and 5), the game becomes a lot better. Hardcore is more of the way to go as well since the weakness of the guns becomes almost non-apparent. Hardcore S&D has given me so much XP...

Hardcore modes on CoD4 are my favourite and in about 2 days I will be thoroughly enjoying myself with this game.

As its my first Call of Duty game I find it pretty awsome.

Im only on 6,000 kills and 5100 deaths... (Did really bad to start off like 0.80 ratio...) Now my ratio is 1.17 due to my bad start lol

Currently on 1st Prestige rank 33
My ratio is slowly improving :)

My sniping has improved to moving headshots yea!!

I want my FG42 such a good machine gun with scope and awsome for hardcore...

I see no one else using GTP as their tag lol

My ratio's on CoD4 suck to be honest. But with a clean slate on CoD:WaW im sure I will have the skills to kills.

At least Im better than my online mates (Sven lol :)👍)

All their ratio's are lower than 1.10 I belive, one of them has a good ratio as he started good so the ratio difference is big...

I have one friend who is on a 0.52 ratio... thats quite bad

Mine's on 3.23 on ~20,500 kills... but I do use single shot guns a lot from a distance unless I'm properly trying on HQ.

Prestige 5 lvl 56 so far... I play the game too much.

Man you must have the game when it was first out...
I got mine like 2-3 weeks ago...

Whats the gameplay time? Mine hit 3 days yesterday.

6 days 12 hours. I got it on release, yeah... But I had a week of double XP because I bought the limited edition. It leveled me up very fast.

What what!!! :dunce:

Well I was a total idiot first time playing... I didnt know what a prestige was for a few days lol and my kills werent the best. Slowly getting better, most games are usually 2.00 or 3.00 ratios but still on 1.17 and improving :)

Damn double XP... real useful :grumpy:

It does help when you play with people you know though - definitely if they're good too. Sometimes it doesn't, since it drives me mad on anything other than S&D (they take my kills unintentially, etc), but when you work together on S&D it can work wonders. I have a particular friend who I work very well with - we tell each other where they are and we know where each other is all the time.

Unfortunetely it's very rare to become friends with someone who's as good as me (not being big headed - it's trueful!), but they're both in my college class so I guess I'm lucky. :). They're both, near enough, to 3.0 K/D ratio like I am, but with half the gameplay time.

I wish they still had Team Tactical...

Talking about teams...

I am usually paired with the worst...
My friends are bad aswell (death is more than kill...)
I usually do fairly well but I dont have the support when going on my own... usually hit a block of 3 opposing players...

Today 4/7 games were loses due to poor teamwork...

Awsome 1000 kills over death yay 1.18 now lol getting better!

I have trouble getting my kill/death rate to 2.
2 Days ago I started with 1.68 and finished with 1.73 yesterday.
Today it dropped back to 1.71 after like 3 games and now I'm back to 1.72.

I'm only at lvl 52 and only played 1 day and 6 hours. Kills is at 3300 at the moment.
