Hello all, count me in to the Arbitrarily-and-incidentally-born-to-Canadian-residents club. Yeah, I'm proud to live in a country that my grandparents thought might be a nice switch from the disaster they knew and loathed. Gosh darn it, I'll fight and die to uphold my patriotic belief in their desperate wish for a new opportunity... And screw the rest.

And all joking aside, I have difficulty imagining a place I'd not only rather live, but would also be comfortable in. It's quiet, safe, and cheap, relatively speaking. we also have the worst weather in the world. 48C with the humidex in summer, down to -56C with wind chill in winter. Huzzah!

By the way, I'm a Montreal resident, born and raised. All hail Poutine!

Can't stand the stuff... Though I'm sure the Vladimir variant is quite a nice bloke.

Good.

Anyway, count me in, Canadian born and rasied, and i will problably stay in this country for the rest of my life, but i will most likely visit other countries (hopefully).

this may sound strange but i have never had a poutine from burger king.the last time i was a a burger king was about 5 years ago.there just isnt any around where i live, theres only McDonalds,Pizza Hut and Subway(not that i'm complaining).i ususally just get it from the cafateria at school or make it myself at home.

I guess i'll sign in, born and raised right here in Toronto. Love poutine, not a hockey fan at all, and I hate people who sew Canadian flags on their backpacks. Great way to advertise what a tosser you are. I guess i'm just bitter, those people are usually pretty nice, it's just too cliche for me to accept, I guess.

I live in scarborough, I was born in east end Toronto, like near the beaches but more west than that and not as nice of an area.

Ever heard of Orton Park? I live near there.

Ahh-Ahh-Ahhhh...

Dont make me press the Big red button...

Scarlem... I dont go through there much cause I dont really feel like getting shot.

I have friends that go to school there (milliken mills high)

Scarborough is not my cup of tea.

Ever make it over to Orangeville, Barrie, or Owen Sound much?

I've heard of milliken, i think that's north end scarborough. I live south of the 401, on lawrence ave... i can see the lake from my balcony.

I don't make it up there much at all. Actually, I don't make it out of the city much, period. Last time I was in Barrie was because the bus I took to Wasaga Beach had to stop there two years ago. :o

My aunt lives in Peterborough, that's about the only place I visit out of the city these days.

I've never been to Owen Sound, but I think I stopped in a Wal-Mart in Orangeville once :o. Orangeville is on highway 9, west of Newmarket, right? I could be thinking of another town that sounds like Orangeville. Doh.

Yeah, Orangeville is on highway 9.
I am in orangeville EVERY night just chillin with friends.
I am in Wal-Mart there very often cause I have friends that work there. It is an awesome city.

I plan on moving to Brampton or 'sauga next year. Prolly to Main & Queen in Brampton, or to Dundas & Dixie in Mississauga. I would never imagine living in Scarlem though. WAY too much crime for me. Its definatly ghetto in a lot of areas.

Wasaga Beach rules. Its the largest fresh water beach in the world so I have been told. My father has a cottage on beach 6 at Wasaga. I am up there just about every weekend in the summer showing off the bling at the main strip.

If you are ever going back to wasaga anytime let me know and I can give you directions to our cottage, hang out, have a beer, play on the sea doo's and chill.

The canadians in South Park said this in their movie,"Bigger, Longer, and Uncut!"

Wow, you are so smart Captain Obvious! Now if only I had that picture that thanks you.

My grandparents used to have a trailer in Alliston, so we went to the Wal Mart in Orangeville once, we needed to go down there for some reason.

I'm not very familiar with anything west of Yonge street, i've only been to Mississauga to go to the International Centre a few times.

Wasaga Beach most definetly DOES rule, there are tons of sweet cars there all summer. If I ever get up there again, i'll get in touch. I'd love to go up every year, funds permitting. The only reason we went up that year was because my mom had a credit card that she felt like maxing out. LOL. I think the coolest thing I saw up there was this 1977 Toyota Corolla with a 350 chevy in it. The guy who drove it was crusing the beach all the time, it was a sweet car. Hopefully I can get a job, and by next summer if i'm driving and have the money i'll probably go up. I hope anyway, if I get a job soon, I can be driving and have a car by next summer and some money to go away with. Thanks for the invite, btw.

And of course with the topic of Canada comes the question: What's your favourite hockey team? I used to live in Toronto so it's the Leafs but I live in Montreal now and saying something like that isn't the wisest decision to make.
