Can't use a custom avatar despite having 100 posts.

Looks like you just cleared 100 posts. It takes the database a bit to recognize that and allow you to use a custom av. Give it some time and it'll work.

It usually takes a day until you are allowed a change, I know when I passed the 100 mark I thought something wasn't right but I just waited for the next day and it was fine.

The information is accurate, but it did not mention the time delay before the functionality is enabled (our forum software didn't work that way back in 2002). I just updated it, and hopefully this will eliminate some confusion in the future.

Those are actually controlled by two different mechanisms - one updates immediately, the other is determined by user group (which is where the delay is introduced).

No, it will never take more than one hour for an account to update. As mentioned in my updated thread on custom avatar and title requirements, the account promotion process always runs on the 45th minute of the hour.

You have 102 posts, at least one of which was the post you just made asking why you didn't get the custom avatar ability immediately upon reaching 100. Perhaps if you actually read the responses to this thread, you will find the information you seek.

It's not that much of a big deal, but I think the note in Control Panel needs a clarification. 'The maximum size of your custom image is 100 by 100 pixels or 20.0 KB (whichever is smaller).' - I'm not a native speaker, but to me it sounds like the resolution can exceed 100x100 as long as the file size is under 20kb, and the file can be bigger unless the image exceeds 100x100.
