Cars with unusual traits

Something I found out recently, the Subaru Impreza Sport Wagon '00, Volkswagen Beetle 1200 and Ferrari 458 all share the same racing exhaust sound!

Also, the Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GTS '03 is bugged. Whenever you paint it the colour shade is way darker than it's supposed to be. For example, when you paint it with a white chip, it becomes gray. This can be "exploited", when you use Matte Black it's so dark that some parts of the car where shadows should be are just blacked out.
It's pretty cool though. Finally a reason to drive this car. Please keep it, PD, you got more important things to do. 👍

I notice the lights on my civic type r touring car is one even in daytime at the nurburgring and I didn't turn it on

All cars run their lights during the day at the Nürburgring. Because of the blind corners, elevation change, severe weather differences etc. it's actually a law. The game was modeled to represent this law, which I find is stunning.

I can't remember its origin and exact meaning, but it appears to be used whenever someone is "beaten to the punch", so to say. ;)

See here. :)
EDIT: Ah, so it's a drag racing reference.

Oh, that explains it. I'm not much about drag racing. Either way, it's cool that people finally agree with me, the weird one.

above8k
that explains it and i dont think you can reduce the lift.
Adding the spoiler will give it more lift 'cause it only works for the rear.👎

And a front splitter doesn't help

Not a car, but if you buy the Corvette with Le Mans Blue w/ red and white stripes you get a paint chip for it. When you use the paint chip it only gives Le Mans blue though

The same goes for all striped paint chips in GT5. In the dealer it mentions the stripe in the name, but afterwards, it's just the color, since the stripes from the paint chip don't transfer over to the next car painted with that color.
Would be pretty neat if it did though. :dopey:

Epic thread bump (I know; me bumping a thread. Crazy, right?) but I found something.

The description for my RM'd Dodge Challenger says it has a 5.2 liter V8, which produces 138 HP at 3600 RPM and 249.5 ft-lbs of torque at 2000 RPM; and that it can reach 146 MPH. This is wrong, because it has a 7.0 liter Hemi V8 which produces way more power than that. And it only hits like 120 MPH stock.

I also find the GT-R concept's description quite...er interesting. Not the exact quote but it says something along the lines of

People knew the GT-R successor was going to be fast. The large front intake foretold a large powerful motor and the large wheels foretold great handling.

Lol i laughed when i read that and instantly thought of some riced up donks XD

The very first R35 prototype in GT5 has a glitched stock torque distribution. The Nissan GT-R (Tokyo Motor Show Concept) '01 shows its stock torque distribution like this:
Front / Rear
35 / 60

So, basically it only uses 95% of its power. :p
Also, don't forget this car has a semi automatic gear box with soft gear changes, no manual clutch and no turbo interruption happening, plus when you paint it you will notice it has a beautiful black stripe on the hood and roof. Looks awesome, like a custom stripe livery. 👍

The headlights ruin the looks though. :indiff:

A friend of mine has it blacked out with BBS rims and it looks killer though. Even with the ugly front end, it isn't bad.

I just noticed something with the interior view of the Suzuki Cervo from doing the latest seasonals:

If you look at the border surrounding the air-con vents, there's a transparency issue and you can see details of the road the dash-view covers. It's like a small cut-out that lets you see what you would normally see in bumper-cam. It was especially apparent in rome when you cross some of the red lane lines towards the beginning of the front straight. Idk if it's just my TV playing tricks on me tho...

Wow, those are the specs for a 318 Challenger! I'm gonna have a look at that since the R/T would NEVER come with a 318.

Even if it were a 318 Challenger, the claimed output is wrong; a 1970 Chrysler LA V8 engine with a displacement of 318 c.i. would have around 230 HP.

There's a special message underneath the Mine's R34 Skyline... Go flip one over and you will see.
Already did. See here.

The Citroën Xsarra has the same problem :sly:

That's been brought up several times 👍

The X1 models are the only cars that can max out their speed gauge on the game's HUD (bumper cam). The X2011 is the only car that can exceed 480km/h without slipstream, it needs some physics glitching in order to achieve this though (downforce setting).

Not true, I've done it on several cars. A few only go to about 160mph

one of the k cars when you install low compression turbo u get more pp hp and torque than the high compression turbo..

I was searching for unusual cars and came to this I am late but there's a car a Suzuki somthing has brakes lights on its seat I do not think it is a premmeum you can check but it's topless so you still have a colorfully 1st person veiw

That'll be the Suzuki Suzuki GSX-R/4, which is a standard.

It's not an odd thing, but there are a few cars you can add turbochargers OR superchargers to, since you usually can only apply one or the other...

Oddly enough, the Nissan March is one of them.

Plus the March 12SR also gets uh..... interesting aero and over fenders

The NA Miata's another one of them. Other than that, I don't recall any other cars with turbocharger and supercharger options, but that can't be. Does anyone know any other cars that offer both? I'd genuinely like to know.

The premium Vitz if I recall correctly :)
