i'd just like to do that but i don't have Flash can someone provide a tutorial that shows how to do that ...

Its not hard at all people. Using the lasso is NOT vector or "cell" as you so love to call it. And FYI, cell shading is a filter for 3d rendering and animations, not 2d artwork, I hope that one day this board will get that right.
Making vector art is easy, all you do is draw with an antialiased line. Simple, if you can draw with a damned pixel pen then a vector shouldn't be a burden.
So people, stop PMing me asking how to make a vector, just IM me, I would rather talk in full about it over AIM, I hate PMs.
Also, what star is doing is vector, thats the right way and it looks the best. A lasso is the poor, lazy mans way at doing things all wrong.
Alpha, wanna see a GDB? http://visua.deviantart.com
I made that a month ago. Wanna see more of my stuff that you dont see at devart? Go to hot import nights or read an import tuning mag sometime.
*said that so you dont think Im just flaming, I actually

ooo, i did it right, lol. your work is kick arse initial racing :D

edit: i just realized i deleted the lambo file. ah well, ill find something else to do it on

Initial, you have some of the best vector drawings I've seen! Great work, especialy that WRX! 👍

Vectors do not use pixels. You can resize vectors to any size and they do not get warped or have jaggies. Macromedia Flash and Freehand both use vectors.

Initial Racing

I was looking through your portfolio afew moths ago when I was browsing Deviant and boy am I empressed!

You have a sure skill and I love your 'R34 In The Trees' Keep up the excellent work and thanks for clearing up what Cell/Shading is.

Macromedia Freehand, Corel DRAW!, Adobe Illustrator are the industry leaders in vector art.

Macromedia Flash uses vectors but isn't for drawing in. It's for animation and power web applications.

.star.
A bit of a shame you deleted the file :(

I tried all three of those industry standards and I hated all of them. I would have thought Freehand would have been straight to the point, like Macromedia has always been, but it was just as bloated as Adobe's Illustrator.

I'll stick to Flash MX for vectors.

Have you tried Corel DRAW! my parents bought it - P2P programs weren't around then! Corel DRAW! is a really nice program but it takes a while like normal programs to learn.

Here's the cover for my Social Studies Project.

Its hard to explain really. You really have to use it like photoshop to learn it.

Its nothing like the way you draw in flash.
