ZERO.

Kaz won't even add 2014 cars to the game, nor does he seem interested in modern racing cars. Why would he add Porsches?
Damn, but that's true, GT6 had outdated car list right from beginning. Lot of 2010 - 2014 models are missing, Mercedeses, Audis, Jag, BMWs, Ferraris, and more. Sony and Kaz gives a shhhh abut that, why they would want to add Porsches, or even few Premium RUFs. GT is starting to irritate me more and more...

fingers crossed just like everyone else id like to see Porsche in the game but that's unlikely going to happen anytime soon due to the fact there theres a whole heap of licensing and paper work to go through or so they say but I don't see what the difference is by having brands like Ferrari Lamborghini Pagani and McLaren into the game and not Porsche wouldn't the procedure be the same with Porsche im terms of licensing etc...

It's not the same because EA has a license with Porsche that only allows their games to have them.

Why not? Forza 4 thought it would never ever see Porsche, and guess what? By Summer time (Around June/July) the Porsche pack was announced.

That was after Forza had already had it for every previous game, I believe scuttlebutt being as a result of some backroom dealings between EA and Microsoft over exclusivity rights or something.

And then they lost it again for Forza 5 anyway.

That's a shame that PD can't include Porsches because we're waiting for an Porsche since GT3 A-Spec which there is an 911 GT3 as an hidden car.

I'm not giving any orders to PD and neither to EA, but I think that EA should give the rights to PD.

For example: In 2004, EA had an exclusive license for Ferraris but in 2006, PD started to put the Ferraris. I'm glad that Ferraris are in GT6.

Microsoft had the Ferrari license, they gave it up because they felt it wasn't fair.

Good luck getting EA to do something that doesn't make them money.

Customer relations? Not getting voted worst company of the year?
If, in their estimation, having an exclusive license negatively affected their bottom line, I'm sure they'll re-evaluate. Until then its a heck of an advantage that I'm sure every other game maker would also like to have if they felt it made economic sense for them too.

We will get Porsche in a Gran Turismo game when Kaz and PD is willing to pay what is takes for EA and Porsche to break their contract or EA to grant acess.

I can imagine that EA would have asked a ridiculous amount if PD already contacted them about it. Just to garantee a no.

Someday...

I find it incredibly negligent that Porsche allow a company who show cartoon behaviour of their precision sports cars an exclusive license.

In Porsche's point of view, they want they name out there. EA realeases a game with new content every year with their latest model.

If PD had the exclusive license, we would have a 1960 Porsche 901. A 2002 Boxster and a 2008 997.

We would be wondering were the heck are the great cars or the latest cars. Like we do with Ferrari at the moment.

Where is the Ferrari 330SP? The F50? F355 Challenge? F12? Laferrari? F430 Spyder? 250 California? 575 GTC? 575LM?

The thing we would be doing with Porsche, We would get half a hand of cars and wonder were all the ones we want are.

At least, EA gives people the cars.

They should make Porsches and just put them under made up polyphony names and change enough minor things to make it legal. GTA never licenses their cars but we all know what they are, they are just under made up names.

I've the same opinion on Porsche as I do Formula 1 in GT... it might be nice, but I pretty much wouldn't use them if they were present, so I'd be against PD spending a disproportionate amount of time and money on them.

Fact is, it's the people that buy the EA games that cause the problem.. once it stops becoming viable for EA to fork out the money for exclusivity, they won't, then Porsche will have to take a view on whether they can make more money offering the rights to more companies on a non-exclusive basis.

No way, thats horrible.

What they SHOULD do is use RUF cars, like they already do. ( Oh GOD PD!)

RUF has awesome cars that I would'nt mind one bit instead of having Porsche models.

Highly doubt Porsche in GT would be limited to only 3 cars like you mention. Ferrari itself is the biggest premium only manufacturer in the game with 16 cars.

Except its no longer just PD's problem, its now every developer's problem.

And Turn 10 doesn't? Evolution studios isn't?

EA, atleast in the recent NFS titles, only give us some of the newest ones, atleast 3 or 4 Porsches. Namely the 918, the newest GT3/911 variant, maybe the Panamera, and the Carrera GT, that's it. Maybe some older street cars as DLC.

EA gives people the cars because only they can give them, and that's the problem.

EA has exclusive rights to the Cars, it has nothing to do with PD. Its has everything to do with Porsche & EA, its not a matter of we will get Porsche when PD man's up and coughs up the cash to get them. EA doesn't look bad, or gets bad reviews because they have exclusive right to Porsche, "voted worst company of the year" EA games have their own pros and cons. Porsche exclusiveness is definitely a positive thing for EA, not going to hurt them in the least.

Make up cars with different names but look like Porsche only with enough differences to not need a licence. What game do you think this is GTA?

Not this year.

For the rest of the message... it's always difficult to make a good selection, especially for brands that have hundreds of good cars.
I'm satisfied with Ferrari selection in GT6 (but I admit that missing too many latest models).
The Ferrari you mentioned are interesting, no doubt, I'm not interested only in F430 Spider (with 458 Spider out, and anyway GT6 has the Berlinetta version) and I don't know the 575LM (Are you sure it exists?).

Also, I agree with you for the RUF matter, the lack of new Ruf in GT6 for me was a big disappointment.
