Cheating is a must in this game

Aspec 32
Bspec 40

No cheating, no duping, 2mil+ at the moment.

Cheating is really not a must.

Another point to make, while it technically is correct that it means cheating is not a must, both your situations do make B spec a must to get enough to buy/win the more expensive cars for some of the races.

While that doesn't involve cheating, I would argue that Bspec is not really a solution for some either... I honestly can't be bothered to play Bspec...

Personally I'm not worried about "completing" the game. I use it as a source of entertainment. If I get bored with doing A spec events I see how fast I can lap the Ring, Luguna Seca and other tracks.

Still I've had the game for just about 3 weeks and I'm already A spec 25 and B spec 18. I only have about 65 cars but most of them are really nice 100k+ cars.

I do think the amount of "grinding" that is required to purchase required 20,000,000 cars is a bit asisine but I'm not sweating it. I have more fun trying to set personal lap records at the Nurb Ring.

Don't make the game into a chore.

Give it 3 more weeks doing the same and youll understand.

B-spec is not an option for me, how funs is it to watch the BOB drive? Sorry but i might as well rent a movie and enjoy something instead of getting angry on a game that someone did sadisticly wrong.

Question:

How many hours a day do you put into this and how much of that was from the first two weeks of seasonals?

Not really sure. I just play whenever I have free time and stop when I get bored.

I never did the first batch of seasonals, but I'll admit that the latest bonus race did a lot to help with cash. Usually the way I keep making progress is by leaving Bspec on while I'm at work.

If I were to average out my time I'd say about 2-3 hours of Aspec a day and 9 hours of Bspec a day. As long as you take some time out to buy a fun car and play with it on Trial Mountain every once in a while, you'll never get bored.

Cheating is far from a must in this game. I'm level 31 and level 22, I have more than 200 cars, many of my cars are fairly expensive as I own lots of race cars/super cars from the UCD, I have not done the grind since I got my FGT and I only play 2-3 days a week. Never cheated once.

OK I will give it to you that if you are ok with a lot of Bspec the need to cheat is significantly reduced.

That said I wonder how you will feel around level 36 aspec regardless...

Bad drivers need to cheat. NFS fans need to cheat. "I want a 1000 cars just to drive 20" type of guys need to cheat.

You left out the people who want to experience the enjoyable parts of the game but not be subjected to all the massive filler parts need to cheat.

You can't starve your fans of content and functionality to gain longevity anymore, those days have past in video gaming. If PD sews up the SS7 cheat, they should raise credit/xp payouts 10X across the board as online lobbies are proving the fan base is starved. Further, they should up the credit max to 100M credits. There are plenty of challenges which remain intact within the game, license tests and the X2010 challenge to name two, the antiquated, ill-concieved progression scale need not be one of them.

Cheating is not a must if you enjoy to play the game as it was meant to be , it is a must if you want to finish all in under 3 months then trade the game in !

The point is that you can "finish" the game in 2 weeks with the exception of some of the endurance races. The next 6 months (to collect all the cars and finish endurance) are spent repeating the same races over and over again.

I have done 115,000 miles and have about 1040 cars with only a few duplicates. I have worked out that I need approximately 130,000,000 credits to get the rest of the cars.

Even if I do the most lucrative race - The American Indy race I only get 98,000 credits that mean I need to do it 1326 times and that would take 110 hours. At 3 hours a day it would take me 37 days of doing the same race over and over. Is that your idea of a fun game ?

As I am fed up with grinding I now run B-Spec Dream Car Championship for 750,000 credits per hour.

Whilst that is happening my PS3 cannot be used for anything else so I bought an Xbox360 at weekend and Forza 3 to give me something to do. I swore I would never buy an Xbox before GT5 came along.

Sony's flagship game has actually made this lifelong Playstation man buy an Xbox360 !!

you dont need to cheat. many people refuse to. but what is the sense of making a game that people dont enjoy playing? honestly i dont know one person who likes b spec or thinks there is any point to it other than just grinding away to get cars from it that should have been in a spec in the first place. its a video game. its supposed to be fun. if people just want to buy cars that they want to drive, then the game should let them. not to mention all the retarded things that are left out in this game like not being able to put wheels on standard cars. im up to level 34 and have been stuck there for a long time. im not about to spend 9 hours or 24 hours (twice) on one race that i basicly get nothing for. im also not about to spend a month of my life pressing x 5 million times to get cars in B spec. so to me the game has run its course and it didnt take long. the only thing thats keeping it fun are seasonal events and the gt academy which is over now. ive played every gt game since day one. this one has the least playable content by far...

With PC racing simulators like GTR2, you get access to all of the cars from the beginning. I want to be able to try out everything without spending months or years worth of my life unlocking/grinding. I approve of this exploit.

I've never had any other system but a PS3 and like many other have been waiting a long time for GT5 to come out . With the awful job that was done on it I have been checking out my sons x360 as I too plan to finally jump ship ! Know how you feel .

I suggest you keep playing that game. As I said before, Gran Turismo, unlike many other driving games, is not an easy game. It requires patience, smart resourcing and a lot of work. You guys should keep playing NFS, ModNation or any "user-friendly" racing games.

GT5 is easier than GTR2 atleast. GT5 isn't hard at all. Its tedious at it's worst, not hard (I do like the game, but i'm ready to admit that there are some serious game design issues).

lol. I'm playing with my psp while grinding. It is absolutely ridiculous. I've finished every race in every GT game up to this one. I don't see that happening with this one. PD has literally sucked the fun out of it with these low prize purses/high car prices, the entire xp system (This isn't an RPG!!!), and the trading restrictions. I just want to enjoy the game, not make a career of it.

Exactly, it's supposed to last us another 6 years until the next version comes out.

That's exactly how it will work out for me. I used to buy other racing games but they all disappoint me, so I'll play GT5 until GT6 comes out.

You really *REALLY* don't understand it, do you? Nobody says GT5 is difficult, or hard or too challenging. If anything, GT5 is too easy. Far too easy! And I don't want my games to be like work. At. All. Ever.

Do not confuse repetition with challenge. They have nothing to do with eachother. 👎

You guys should keep playing NFS, ModNation or any "user-friendly" racing games.

Maybe you, and especially PD should play these games for a change. To see what a *game* is supposed to be like, and then apply what they've learned to GT.

Good physics model != Good driving Game.

1.08 is out? None of that stuff was in the game before. Or does the difficulty you refer to mean the struggle to stay awake when driving Indy? I agree, that's one of the most difficult parts of a game I've ever seen. Too bad GT5 has no other challenges.

Burn all cheaters like witches on a stick! 👍

what about grinding.. im level 33 NEVER played same race again.. I have all cars I want 350, maybe you all just cant complete %. I have 95% and GT gives me all I want! Never needed grinding.. Completed all seasonal events 100%, It gave me over 20.000.000 credits after last season..

Now get every car without repeating anything :)

GT5's length and difficulty may entice users to cheat but it's certainly not a MUST.

PD has no control over what PSN makes as trophies so NO the 1000 car trophy does not dictate how you play the game.

While I agree with your point, PD does have control over which trophies to include in the game. Trophies are a required for PSN by Sony but it's up to the developers to create them.

As others have mentioned, GT5 is neither long or difficult. The only thing difficult is realizing how many times you need to repeat the game in order to get some of the cars. And that is the only thing that will take a long amount of time.

Perhaps if they took away money as payment and introduced Grind Times Win "GTW"
GTW for this car: Win fast as the wind challenge 150 times: Good Luck!

Easy, play online and buy only cars "you" want. you dont need to buy all 1000+ cars, sice there are 50 skylines and many other cars about 300+ with no racing potential (only for some people and only for fun). Anyway 1 player need about 500 cars maximum.. no one can love all 1000+ cars.. just for a trophy buy 500 kartings + 500 your favorites problem solved.
