I'm racing in a series and it has qualified pretty well in some races like 2nd a 3rd places Normally behind the white Ford GT race car and Clk race car...

The ZR1 and the Z06 are two of the few cars in the game that I actually enjoy driving completely stock.

To be honest, i like both and the C5 Z06 too. They are good stock and fun to drive and fast too. My only gripe is with the C6 ZR1, it`s probably to realistic :nervous:... ie it feels like it handles/behaves like a car with simply too much power for itself and it`s just waiting for a chance for you to relax and it will turn around and rip your head off

I find the Z06 more controllable and easier to drive and it`s got a 7.0L V8 :)

I basically don't use Corvettes much because I consider them to be ugly cars, nothing to do with the performance which is good, it's just not easy on the eye like a Ferrari or Lamborghini.

Yes, a 7.0L minus a freakin' supercharger. Just feather the throttle and you'll be fine. The thing that kills me though is the ridiculous amount of wheelspin you get when you drive the ZR1 RM. Can't keep it in a straight line!

I always liked the look of them, especially the extra little bit of styling they did on the ZR1.

I had many a clean battle against GTP_whitburn187 in prologue. I had the C6 Z06 and he had a stock F430 on fuji. Race after race nothing in it. Commented on well i drove it ( read slided it :scared: ) good fun.

To those of you that have trouble controlling the RM ZR1, Please follow the link below. It's my absolute favorite tune in all of GTP. Makes the car into a dream machine. No spinning, no nonsense, Just huge grip. LMP beating grip. Once again, massive congrats to Avid Racing.

I have my LSD, Brake Balance(5-6), Aero (Max) and Tranny (Varies) changed, but other than that, exactly as mentioned up above. Enjoy!

Well one thing is for sure, I have never met anyone that loves a ZR1 as much as I love a Ford GT. I'll trade my girl friend straight in for a Ford GT anyday ;)

i'll be sending you a FR today , i got a nice shiny Ford Gt straight from the dealership .... i can even give it a DLC paintjob :D

Don't waste your time mate, dude's banned. He's a great racer, but he's banned from here. I'll leave it at that.

Me and my friend started a corvette rm race league but it didn't get anywhere though. good idea but it just didn't happen.

Also does the zo6 have a supercharger? I kno the ZR1 does but the zo6 has a 7 liter engine and the zr1 has a 6.2 but the zr1 has more power despite having the smaller engine.

Oh and us Americans only know how to put 6 plus liter engines in rear wheel drive cars. Unlike Europeans we also have the engine at the front. ( but I don't know why because mid engine gives u better weight distribution and a better handling car.) I do think corvette is the best America has to offer, viper had a bad race at the 12 hours of sebring this year and I think corvette won the GT class and beat out Ferrari 458's I think.

What????

This thread is old. I met a lot of guys that appreciate the ZR1. 2 of them are in my team; American Dust Racing. ADR_FREAK and ADR_GEARS

The new C6 vette ZR1 really only represents the fact that Chevy can produce a street legal 200+ mph capable car (z06 had a 198mph top speed). In terms of handling the ZR1 was not very well thought out as a cornering monster. The key to the Z06's turning capability is the heavy 7.0L that helps hold those front wheels down whereas the ZR1 has a smaller much lighter Small block 5.7L(350cid) that has much more torque and power without holding those front wheels down they wont have traction to turn. Also, the 7.0L in the Z06 has better bottom end allowing for much taller gears so the top speed of the Z06 can be tuned to be faster on the top end. Its all down to the balance of the car. The ZR1 was not as well thought out as the Z06.

edit: Z06 is and N/A meaning No Supercharger, Unless you add it.
Also, ZR1 has a 5.7L not the 6.2.

Lol I feel like an idiot now, imagine the power of a ZO6 with a supercharger XD

Considering the power jump from the C5 Z06 to the C6 Z06, i honestly think the C7 version is gonna have 620+ with the ZR1 with well over 700.

I'd would honestly rather just have the Z06 as is with a custom exhaust. Had one come through my old work and I nearly (polite wording) blew my boost out my wastegate(/polite wording)

The ZR1 is debatablely the best American production car of its time and Chevy's answer the International criticism towards American car.

Other than the fisher-price plasticked interior and the reliability issues, I'd say so. But the new Vette is such an improvement.

Eh!! Both Z06 and ZR1 shares same engine block. The only difference is, Z06 has thinner cylinder walls..hence its 7.0L.

So actually ZR1 has heavy front end 'cause of supercharger and additional tubings.
