Would that be a PAL version of the game? - I don't think I have ever seen a report from the NTSC version with such a large winning margin.

Could you guys give some tips to drive the car in this mission?? The thing understeer badly at corner exit on power!! It feels extremely terrible just after some rounds at 'ring in an NSX-R and alikes
Looks like a FWD that we need to "tuck-in" into a corner! Those damn aids doesn't let the car turn properly...

Nice write up, well actually, nice photo gallery. That was an impressive victory margin. I also have the North American version, and cannot get within 15 seconds of winning the mission. Did you by a McLauren to practice with, or did you just do the mission a ton of times? Anyways nice job

did the mission for ~6 hours one night, realized i sucked and would never beat the mission (closest time was -20 seconds)

came back half a year later (having had A LOT of practice on the ring), did about 6 more hours and came within 3 seconds a couple times (using a grasscut that would save me about 2 more seconds, so cleanly about 5 seconds too slow), finally won by cutting a few corners and bumping the 300SL at the end of the long straight at 160+mph haha.

wasnt satisfied with a cheating win and came back the next day and passed it cleanly in less than 3 hours
