Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI RS T.M.Edition '00 "Grun"
Yes I'm using a German name for a Japanese car, but let's leave that aside for now. Named after Grun Squadron of Ace Combat Zero, this Evo VI is every bit as adaptable as the squadron it's named after. This car has proven to be very potent at various tracks, and with its gearbox tuned for acceleration, it'll blitz pretty much anything that is not a GT-R on circuits like Matterhorn.

I'll be making all of the old muscle. Not sure if I have the $ to buy all of them :P.

Could one of you do the corvette'60 Art Morrison? Love that one, high top speed when upgraded, and arguably the best looking vette in the game.

REVIEW: CAMARO Z28 '69 by @ACSR421 (Why no tag?)

The good:
No understeer, able to drift without being a drift car, fast out of corners.

The Bad:
135 mph max speed, redlines on even some of the smaller straights.

Very nice tune, and awesome for some of the more technical tracks, but not a high enough top speed for nurb or de la sarthe up against cars of similar pp.

Next up: @XDesperado67 tune for the El Camino!

It's @ACSR421 - 421 not 241. 👍
Double thanks, one for clearing that up, and two for making me not do a double post! Camino is ready in a few.

REVIEW: EL CAMINO by @XDesperado67

The good:
Nice handling, good mix of acceleration and top speed, fast out of corners (If careful)

The bad:
Rear slides pretty bad on accelerating in the first few gears.

As long as you're careful, this can beat things with much higher performance value. Great first two tunes I've tested, keep it up both of you! Could do vintage amaerican cars all day long.

Next up: Plymouth Superbird '70 by @krenkme!

Edit:
REVIEW: PLYMOUTH SUPERBIRD' 70 by @krenkme

The good:
Awesome acceleration, only redlines on very long straights or draft. Great high-speed stability.

The bad:
Understeer in gears 1 and 2.

All around great, but shines at drag racing. Great tune for ovals as well. Managed to do fairly well at bathurst, but that understeer cut into corner time badly.

Still a great tune as always though!

Next up: Corvette '54 by @krenkme!

@Dagger311 it's the ridiculous amount of torque down low in the rpm range that makes American muscle cars hard to control on SH tires in low gears. They easily overwhelm the available grip without very careful throttle application.

With that said it sounds like you enjoyed "Jose's Hauler" which makes me happy.:D:tup:👍

By the way are you signed up as a tester for the FITT shootout all these cars were tuned for? If not you should consider doing so as it will give you a healthy fix of American Classics.

I may sign up sometime.

And I very much enjoyed the Camino, I expect that kind of wheelspin on all vintage american, high power cars. I just put it under bad as it is a bad quality of the car that was tuned.

Anyways...

REVIEW: CORVETTE '54 by @krenkme

The good:
Gearing, acceleration, and handling blow stock so far out of the water...

The bad:
Wheelspin on accel (Should clarify this is expected from all high power american fr cars).

This beats stock so bad it' s not funny. Plus, it's a vette! Great tune as always!

Thanks @Dagger311 glad you liked it. the gearing is tuned for Laguna Seca right now but after the shootout I'll gear it for all around track use. If you want I can pm the new gearbox settings to you next time I fire up gt6 and test it.:)

Sure thing, figured it wasn't meant for a track like bathurst, but I do all my testing there.

Review is in on the Pontiac by @krenkme!

The good:
Lightning acceleration, pretty nice top speed, handling has improved.

The bad:
Understeer (To clarify: the understeer is very manageable if you brake a little early and turn in a little sooner, then you rocket out of the corner)

Did a very good job on bathurst, unfortunately only took second because I realised too late how to cope with a car as heavy as that pontiac! My fault though, not the tunes'. Had to put understeer in bad, even though the car naturally has it and you fixed it greatly, it's still there, and has to be factored in to the driving style. Great tune! Have never tried on on this forum that dissapointed, and I don't think I will!

Next up: '59 Stingray concept by @krenkme!

Alright, review is in for the '59 stingray.

The good:
Nice acceleration, nice top speed.

The bad:
Feels as though the car wants to drift on every turn.

I'm sure that, if I alter my driving style, this would be a great car, but I' m used to vettes being planted, this one kept wanting to slide out.

Still took first, not much of a problem out of the drifting thing, and with practice this would have easily had a ten second gap on my oppenents.

Tried five really great tunes today, none dissapointed, all were awesome, and it would be so hard to pick a favorite, So I'm not going to.

However, the '54 corvette is the best-looking one I did.
