Of course you can guess!

But your guess is not correct. Still no right answers.

I'll give you a clue: Der Alta's first guess is the closest in terms of the nation's state of development (i.e. stop looking up obscure African nations ;) )

It has to be Coke for me. Regular, not Diet. I pretty much hate Pepsi.

I'm trying to cut down on that sort of thing though, hence why I'm currently drinking Sparkling Mineral water, which has the added bonus of having no sugar and being 1/6th the price of Coke!

Oh, and did you know that there is only one country in the whole world where Coke is not the top-selling carbonated soft drink?

A point each for anyone who can name the country and the drink that beats Coke in that country. One member here only gets half points because he should damn well know, and I think he knows who he is!
I think the country is Germany. But I can't remember the name of the stuff.

Egypt?

Give me some pop? I'll stick with soda.

I prefer Mr. Pibb to Dr. Pepper. Diet DR. Pepper isn't very good.

I've never heard of Cott. RC cola is crap. So is Richfood. Sam's Choice is nothing special either.

I love Fanta, but not the nasty **** that we get here in the US. The real Fanta is awesome.

Coke > Pepsi...

Maybe Coke still has secretly implemented cocaine in their formula again...I dunno, it has a different sparkle-taste that you get from Pepsi.

Sprite > Pepsi Twist > Pepsi Max > Pepsi > Coke > Vanilla Coke.

Nah, Pepsi Original rules them all. Although I can't get Pepsi Twist, because I'm way out of the way...

Pop,... if your above the 44th paralel from what I've noticed. Soda if your below. Just an observation

How's this theory holding up so far? I'm not sure about non-american tendancies,.... but I think I may be on the right track.

So far every "soda" person has been below the 44th,... and I think I'm the only "Pop" answer so far.

Anyone notice this?

How many of you confederates call ALL "Soda",.... Dr. Pepper? My buddies mom is from Arkansas, she calls coke Dr. Peppa, lol. 👍

Coke, Vanilla Coke, Vanilla Killa Coke(Modified..ehehehe!), and Cherry Coke.

Red Fusion tastes like pure carbine, and pepsi doesn't have enough Bang.

You don't have to ask for my opinion. I'll gladly tell whereever I see fit :trouble:

Why wasn't this made into a poll?

Ok here is the break down. I prefer Dr. Pepper over all, but if you want to know the opinion on Coke vs Pepsi, then my take is this. Coke tastes better out of the fountain, Pepsi tastes better out of the can, or bottle.

Lots of people agree with me. It makes sense. Admit it.

This has always been the root of a conspiracy theory of mine; what the heck else do they do with the hundreds of tons the DEA seizes every year?

I didn't say it was true, but...

OK, in answer to GG's poser: I believe it is Korea, or possibly China. And the most poular beverage there is said to be soy milk.

On the orignal question: Coke, without doubt. Pepsi is too sweet by far. If I can't get regular Coke, Sprite is fine. Most of the "clear" sodas are perfectly fine, though I can tell the difference between them easily.

Regular Pepsi tastes just like Diet Coke, which is also too sweet, and Diet Pepsi is undrinkable bilge.

On the 'soda' vs. 'pop' question, I need to clarify RER's theory a little: in addition to being north of the 44th, it's west of the Appalachians. You don't really get into 'pop' country until you hit Indiana/Illinois and parts west.
