It's the offcamber back end of the turn and the fact it's from 160mph+ to 2nd gear while turning left that catches the cars out. Braking zones are hard to get right there because you can go too deep and touch the grass or you slow down too early and lose a lot of time.

Yeah, I know why it's hard, but I don't know what to do about it. You guys spin so much there! :scared: I feel bad when I pass someone there.
 
I don't recall spinning there. I got offline going two wide and hit the grass once, but I don't think I ever spun. In qualifying I did, trying to push with the Z.

I remember seeing both you and cnd spinning there. I also remember swerving to avoid you, and then swerving to avoid that very convenient pit wall.

I've noticed when practicing in the RX-8, though that ain't the bit that always gets me. It's the lack of markers at the bus stop :(

I drifted through turn 1 a few times and overcorrected it on the last lap :yuck: Seth never spun in the race; he just went into the grass. I could overtake on the outside in turn 1. I think the outside is the preferred line. When you go in low, the car is so out of shape like we saw when Seth and I had our incident where he went into the grass and I pulled a Tokyo drift through there to avoid him. The chicane was another example with MrM going merry-go-round after he got loose and I gave him some help. :dopey:
 
Anyone got a clean 3400 they can send me? I have many many cars, but just one 3400. It already has engine upgrades and the restore ticket didn't take those away.

I'll cycled through the UCD for about 20 days and it still hasn't popped up.

Inf My 3400s has all Engine stages and full WR and it makes the spec... :boggled:

I took off all other upgrades and limited it down to the spec on around 60% ish PL.. (Could run as low as 190bhp if I wanted :lol:..... But I think 235 is fair ;))
 
I usually don't PL down that much.

The civic I specced only had about 6 hp to spare after oil change. added a few parts, pl'd down to 90%, but had to add ballast after WR1, about 76 Kg I think to make weight.

Is it ok to PL down that much?

Any mods are allowed, as long as your at the given hp and kg limit for the car.

And I forgot to put the registration in the OP, I'm going to do that like... Now... So if you guys could all register with that, that would be great!

What car are you taking? Might as all have some vareity in the three st drivers registered so far.

Anyways, off-topic, but, I feel sorry for you missing the Rolex 2 hours at Daytona today. Shame, really. You missed some intense racing, and you likely won't have a chance to really remind people about how bad some drivers are.

Yea, it was a bummer. But it wasn't anything spectacular (other than me lasting the whole 2 hours and having a shot at winning!)
 
Polar. Change me to the civic for ST. I registered for 3400 but don't wish to limit the one I have down 40%. Are there chances of some other non FF ST cars making it this season?

I don't think the Mazda roadster thingy '07 is ff... Im almost positive it's rwd.

It's not in OP. It's either that car, or the BMW 135i or some small BMW, because those are both cars in the CTSCC in real life.

Yea, I'm going to probably add; Ford focus (Premium one) Mazda roadster thingy, and BMW 135i

Someone should paint their 135i orange and ram a 370z when they spin... Lol! (if you watched Watkins glen... You'd get it...

Hey guys, whats going on in here? Season started yet? You guys need another driver? Was thinking this could be a good support race before ALMS starts. Nissan and Dodge are sticking out to me right now.

We're still just having races on Fridays, working out specs and stuff. I'm thinking pre season (2 races) will start in 2 weeks.

And ALMS starts at 9?
 
Mel, what were you running your vantage at?

And rx8 is 435HP, 1310KG
