Officially registered for the Nissan. I figured that I rep'ed USA in ALMS and Rolex already. Change it up and go with the Japanese.

I'll be wearing the usual orange and black.

490 hp @ 1502 kg. I could add more ballast, but I don't think it's really too fast, as PaulMac was saying. :lol: He said "That Aston, when I drive it at those specs, is a second faster." So, I told him to run the BMW, and he ran the same lap time. :lol: It's just because Paul Mac's on PURE, he can run any car a second faster. :lol: Seth will bite my head off, saying that "they're overrated" now. :lol:


FH, after seeing a very unfortunate incident at Watkins Glen, which took a Nissan out, because a black and orange BMW spun, I'm really wondering about that colour scheme's "luck." :lol:
 
I was so mad when that happened. I was waiting for a fight to happen. But just before that the commentators were saying how quiet and soft spoken the Nissan driver was. But yeah, I was pulling for the Nissan.

Yeah. I subscribed to Mike Skeen's YT channel back in like Oct. 2011. :sly: He's a smooth driver; somewhat similar, it turns out, to Kevin.
 
Any idea when we'll see the specs for the new ST cars? The Focus, 135i, & MX-5?
 
Imo 135i is a bad idea but the other 2 would probs fit in ok.

Yea the 135 would be a misfit. I really haven't tried the other models of the ST class.

As for the GS, the scooby is probably the fastest. The challenger, rgt, and m3 are right behind it. The 370 is slower than the others on big tracks with long straits. Other than that it is equal. I haven't tried the v12 vantage, rx8, or the camaro.

Again, I'm really thinking that the 330i is a better car. I'm releasing a tune for it shortly in my Tuning Garage, and it should be fast enough (somewhat) to keep up with the other cars. I'll figure it out. You guys don't need to worry about adding an additional BMW.
 
The 120d 04 starts at 161hp @ 1415kg.

120i as well starts out lower I think.

I'm going to say that the 330i could be a good fit too. Infinital, I respect your opinion, but why run a diesel 🤬 when you can run a nice 330i? The environment isn't actually damaged by a decision to switch cars in a car game. :lol: Here I thought that bit was clear... the 330i would need the weight removed, generally, and would go down to approximately 1230. I know my BMWs. The 120i and 120d are not in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, as the 330i IS.
 
I'll have to make sure this isn't overpowered as all the other STs are very close ;).
 
I don't agree that the Subaru is the fastest in GS. It's not the most aerodynamic that's for sure. I got passed pretty easily on the straights. It is good with the twisty parts, but not the best. I think it's the best out of corners though.

AWD=yes. I also think, with the Audi, that you have a bit of practice with tuning/driving AWD cars. The Aston handles like a brute. I see British designs EVERYWHERE in it. (insert Clarkson's "POWER!" here)
 
I could get a lot out of the aston martin. The ruling on the cars are weird. You got some that weigh around 300kg more than others, no wonder they don't handle as good.

As for the Toyota Minolta Riley DP, that team is full, currently. Please let me check which DP car is available. I believe that there's room on Team Nissan, if you have a Nissan R92CP.

There is only one theoretical slot in GT-Ferrari 458 Italia. However, I make no promises that this car will still remain by Saturday. However, there *IS* one slot in the Nissan R92CP in DP, for certain.


I'll give you your choices:


  • Sign up for the 458, and come to tomorrow's test race, to see if anyone takes it, to test for Team Ferrari with Team Leader Daibaspeed.
  • Sign up for both, and see which slot you can join
  • Sign up in DP for the Nissan R92CP and be in the Rolex series (come tomorrow and we'll show you the ropes)

If you don't have the Nissan R92CP, then there are no DP slots left for you, unless you're able to find one. I personally don't have an R92CP, and can't help.


If you want in with either car, check the Rolex thread, and post that you'd like to come to the test race tomorrow. If worse comes to worst, you'll be signed up as a reserve, until a spot becomes available.



Finally, if you want in with the Ferrari, we're testing throughout the week, and a good, strong show from you will help guarantee your position. Consider this your "testing session," somewhat like Formula 2 is to Formula 1. This week, all of the races will help you build a rapport with the teams and drivers, and a spot might open up for you.



Either way:

  1. Go post on the Rolex thread
  2. Tell us (Rolex competitors) your predicament
  3. Tell us which car you'd like to take
  4. Come to all of the un-official testing races throughout the week
  5. Have fun, be polite, avoid crashes, and finish well, and a spot will open up quite quickly.

Ok, thanks for the help, i guess al sighn up for both then. :) And one more question, how will i know when you guys are doing un-official test races? Will you post it in the thread?

Yes, we will. Tomorrow, it seems quite likely. The main thing is, that we don't allow for overlap during series. For example: Today, freshseth83 was running his 90s GTS/GT1 LM series, so we didn't. Tomorrow, most drivers have no other commitments, in terms of GTP. We will be running today (it's now safe to say, unless you're in Hawaii) that the new day has begun where you are,) and tomorrow, and Thursday.


Then, on Saturday, we have the actual race. This week, it's Monza.


The test lobbies (during the week) help up to structure the official races, better, because we're working out the bugs with caution systems (people accidentally giving wave-bys,) and driver errors (crashes that could've been avoided.)


Therefore, we ask that you don't come unprepared to the Saturday race. In the Rolex series, we ask that every driver complete a race with us, BEFORE joining a points race, with us, to ensure that everyone's a clean driver before ruining someone's points championship.

Btw, i registered again for the nissan and the ferrari so hopefully i get in one of them. :)

I know the 120 isn't in the series, but just wanting to get some more cars to decide from. I've got a Civic specced up waiting, but would rather take the MX-5 or the BMW.

I just want to see what the specs are going to be so I can start playing with the cars more.

My point about the 330 was it seems to be a bit too strong out of the gate. Just using PP to compare, I think the civic is around 430, whereas that 330 was up maybe 450-460 (at work and can't confirm.)
