Convertible Tops

I searched with a variety of terms and can't find anything...sorry if it has been asked before due to my poor searching.

How do you lower/raise the convertible top for racing and photo modes?

you cant raise or lower it. In some cars it just is down, and in some, up.

I've only been able to lower them in arcade mode and nothing else.

in races you cant raise/lower the roof because the ps2 cant render 5 cars on the grid and all the interior detail. This is why you cant use the Caterham 7 in any races. You can only use convertible cars with the roof down in practice modes when there are no other cars because then the ps2 can render it. This is one factor that will make gt games on the ps3 really good.

If I remember correctly, convertables run with the top down in the special condition races

Or do you mean in arcade mode the car can be driven with the top down?

there is an option for you to have the hood up or down, when yuo choose tyres asm etc. before you race.

Yeah, you can in arcade, but then it just puts you up against 1 other car, not 5.

do you get to choose in practice? never noticed that
