Mine is capped at 250gb a month. But if I download between 00:00 and 08:00 it is unlimited. So guess when I download things? I'm only paying £33 a month for this, so a cap is fine.

On the race: Will we have a 15mins Qually for positions yeah?

Any one got any ideas on strategy for tonight? I've only done a few laps in a handful of cars, got no idea what the tyre wears gonna be like.

I might not make it tonight, as I seem to have contracted meself another flu (curse my immunity system!) and I am currently quite unstable, so yeah, maybe not able to make it.

I havnt worked one out yet. The softs are gonna give the best lap times, but will keep you in the pits far too often. So I may plumb for the mediums for most of the race, and try and stretch out the pit stops. Fastest time on the softs is 1:56.670. Its going to be quite concentration demanding I think, and I totally expect to feel labotamized afterwards.

Is the lounge open at the normal 8.30 start time tonight?

I'll probably be opening it a bit earlier than normal, but not that much as not everyone will be here on time (short notice)

I'm thinking if people try to go out on softs, can you get enough lead at Suzuka with a changable weather at 5/10 they may needed at least 3 stops? I think I will play it safe and stick to the Mediums :sly:

No worries H_enry_T - a 2Hr race isn't something you want to get into if you're not fully firing on all cylinders!

Was fun again tonight, even if I did have a shocker... I don't know what was up with the fronts but it was next to impossible to get any heat into them without power-sliding the entire time.

Well that was a fab race last night :) Well done to Dowlin on the win, and I am absolutely chuffed to bits with my first CORE GT podium result :D:D:D and to finish on the lead lap 👍

I've had the odd 4th in the series in my first season, and looked good for a podium at Belgium until my fuel problem, so to finally get one feels great!

I drove quite conservatively for much of the race, attempting to preserve my tyres, and it seemed to work! I was never pushing for an "all out" lap time. I managed to make my first set of inters last about 21 laps, and my initial pace was not great as I did not have the confidence to push in the wet conditions in an unfamiliar car and conditions. But for the most part, I kept it on the island and kept mistakes to a minimum. I had a good battle in the early stages with Omnius, but my pace started to improve as my confidence was too. I overtook Omnius, then at the end of the start/finish straight I went wide and thought he would re-pass, but he went wide in sympathy and span off!

Then, as the race progressed, my main adversary seemed to be third_reign. I had some good battles with him on track, I made a mistake and he passed me, but I gathered it together and re-passed him a couple of laps later. Then, I just managed to eek a bit more pace out of my car and pull away bit by bit. I thought I was managing my fuel OK and felt that I had put plenty in at the stops, but at the end I was practically running on fumes and was getting a bit worried! :nervous:

I managed to make my tyres last a long time, only had two stops but I was stationary a long time putting fuel in which negated much of the advantage of stopping fewer times... even though my pace wasn't great towards the latter part of the stints it seemed to work out for me because I managed to keep my mistakes to a minimum. My inters were looking REALLY worn by the end of the initial 21 lap stint!!! I was probably 5 seconds a lap slower than the others towards the end on those tyres, as I was pegging the gap to the leaders for a while and then as my tyres were wearing the gap started to increase by 3,4,5 seconds each lap! Interesting strategies going on!

All in all, it was a great race, so thanks Omnius for organising it! 👍👍👍 look forward to the next special event!

Mega race last night. Damn the weather though. I coudnt get my inters to work on the front of the car, and the rears where just spinning up. It got so bad that I had to put on a bit of TC using the button on my wheel, just to get round. When the track dried out a bit I put on the RS tyres to try and make up some time and catch up, but forgot I had TC on. When I remembered, and went to turn it off, I was coming up to the pit lane, and crashed into the armco.:banghead: By this point I was so far behind I used the soft tyre to catcg up with Omnius and Fuel. The grip was unreal and the tyres didnt last long, but it did give me a thrilling end to the race with a fantastic battle with fuel for the final laps. I did have to make an unscheduled trip to the pits for more fuel on about lap 51, and remained on the softs as fuel passed me in the pits. I pushed to hard to catch him, but by then I was absolutely ragged after 2 hours of racing. I didnt put enough fuel in, and my car slowed down with 10 seconds of the timer remaining on lap 54. I absolutely enjoyed the racing, even though I didnt complete the 56 laps. Awesome race Omnius, thanks for organizing it.👍👍👍

We all know about the Racing soft tyres, but thats the trade off...tonnes of grip but really short lifespan! :)

I'm pleased the whole mechanic of refueling played it's part, do you limit your stop times hoping to gain enough of a lead for the big glug on your last stop, or do you keep topping up during the tyre change?

I was really pleased with the weather in last nights race, there were enough laps in total to allow for a reasonable amount of rain/wet track before it stopped and the track dried out 👍 that's what I love to see - if the race is long enough, all I want now is it to happen the other way to see how we fare! Rain towards the closing laps of the session, now that would be interesting :D :D :D

Still I love the randomness and it's so much better than relying on heavy damage! Weather all the way 'me-thinks'

Plus I've got a new passion for Suzuka now 👍

As Suzuka was a massive race, if anyone can remember any 'incidents' good or bad they had (laps) stick them on here to assist me with my highlights as I don't want to miss anything that should be in the highlights 👍 :)

I really don't know what to do with the Inters, and even the full wets. Never got any heat and that was with front BB at 9... Really ruined my race up until the last 8 or so laps with Ade which was awesome.

Yeah mate, I really enjoyed the final stages of the race. The NSX didnt like the wet at the start of the race. I too put my BB at 9 on the front, but it didnt seem to help. Perhaps being a MR with all the weight at the rear was the reason the fronts didnt work on the inters.

More racing fun tonight in the Mini Coopers. The room will be open from 7.30pm with race 1 at 8.00pm.

My own race highlights as follows:
- my traditional starting lap mishap, crashing into the back of stalled geordie
-tight battle with fuel and Third at the S curve run wide at 59 secs letting geordie through
- my battle with Omnius laps 4-5, resulting in spin from Omnius on lap 5 first corner
-battle with fuel lap 10, fuel spins at 1:18 into the lap and I narrowly avoid him putting me into 2nd position.
-geordie bears down on me lap 11 dropping to 3rd 1.46 into the lap.
- my first pit stop on lap 21,my tyres are down to the canvas! My exit from pits puts me into battle with third reign. Lap 22 my mistake at 1.24 ish puts me behind him.
- Lap 25 sees me retake the position on the back straight at 130R at around 1.37 with a touch of contact on the bend as we got very close
-lap 34 following Omnius around for a couple of laps with cobani close behind the and I almost lose it at 130R sparks flying on the kerb
-2nd and final pit stop on lap 42 puts me behind third_reign again. Re-pass him on the outlap at 2:09 as he made a mistake putting off the track earlier in the lap before the hairpin.

Great stuff last night lads I really enjoyed it, as I said last night it's probably the first race at Suzuka that I really enjoyed 👍 I was alone for the majority of it but that didn't stop me from having fun watching the gap between myself and Geordie get smaller and smaller  I did have fun with Third_Reign when I was trying to lap him but I didn't quite have the pace to do so, then he got away from me as I had an accident. I also had fun with Fuel near the end when we had our own respective battles going on.

As for my race highlights, I'll put some up here now and have a look at the replay to find others or the laps they happened at.
- The first corner incident, even though it was obvious.
- My little battle with Omnius up until I passed him into Spoon.
- When I was lapping Cobani and he hit me up the backside going into the hairpin.
- Lap 31 when I had my off in the fast left hander before the final chicane.
- a few laps later when I was battling with Third_Reign and a few laps after that, when I went off in that long left hander after the S-turns.
- the lap after when i nearly went off their again, probably not as good as i remember it
- The final few laps with Fuel, especially the first corner when we touched  No hard feelings Fuel ;)

The highlights for me where in the first few laps, where I went from very last to 4th in the mixed conditions. And off course hitting Dowlin up the backside. 👍

Ok, as I work on the highlights for our 'Extra' Special Event, I have drawn up the real two Season 6 EE Events (Exhibition Endurance)

The first one will require the Championship Car, the second will be in our chosen Club Car.

More details to follow (Later today most likely) :)

Hi Omnius, I'd like to sign up for next season(S6).

RM = #64, colors I have to look into, if I'm welcome that is.
