I think that's what developers who lack confidence in there software would do.

EA and there Porsche license as an example. The best bit a of there game is the fact Porsche is in it. Although to be fair they only represent Porsche in looks. Physics wise it could be a cardboard box for all I know.

Exclusives just hurt the game Eco system for me.
If all developers start grabbing certain manufacturers the variety will dry up and hurt consumers. IMHO.

For sure, from our consumer point of view, the very best scenario is that all cars are available on all platforms, or at least have the chance of availability as there is no guarantee that any game maker can afford every single license, nor wants it. Unfortunately that's not how it works and we can only hope that as the biggest player in the market, PD focuses more on the types of cars drivers really want to drive, and saves the $0.50 it costs to license a 67' Skyline, and puts it towards something a little more attractive.:)

And I think there's a game on the PS3 that's a Ferrari racing game, don't know the name though. And then there's the Ferrari Racing Legends which was featured on all systems.

Well, those are basically licensed by Ferrari themselves (because they pretty much license alot of products) and because they are exclusively on PS3(assuming you're reffering to the eutechnyx made ones), they are usually free of Microsoft's hold. As far as I can work out though, Ferrari seems like they pretty much can do whatever they want if they're abilty to license F1 cars outside the offical F1 games are anything to go by.

Has anyone did the "glitch photo mode" with it yet? I did a little last night, and there's a fully rendered car beneath the coverings. You can get a kinda a good idea on how the car will actually look. Which also means there will probably will be another DLC of it in the near future.

Oh, I thought that Eutechnyx, Codies and SMS (who worked with Atari with FRL) had to talk to MS about using the license for their cars and F1s. And yes, I was referring to anyone who has a Ferrari car(s) in their games. But thanks for clearing that up.

And Ferrari, Chevy, Nissan, Dodge, etc....can do their own licensing with their cars to game companies like PD, T10 and the rest of the other developers and creators. Which is a good thing to talk with the auto manufacturers instead of going though a game publisher, especially if they want to hog the rights. I wish Porsche can see all this marketing like the GTR, SRT GTS and the C7 Vette with these games and try to work something out, love to see how the protos of the 991s and that 918 would be. But I'm taking this too far off topic though.

If that's true and you can get an accurate idea of the C7's looks, that'll provoke a interest beyond this forum I'm dead certain and an embarrassing situation for PD and GM....

Do it regardless.

If you guys want an 'unofficial' seasonal to use this car on, try the 500PP FR Challenge from 6/6/12 - you'll need to de-tune the car a bit, of course, but it's still pretty fun! :)

I can tell you that those seats are not right. C7 has been spotted with buckets.
Driver's yellow drink seems legit :)

On the front end it's hard to see past the coverings, but the back end, you can tell there's 3 rear windows (1 middle, 2 sides). You can definitely tell the actual shape of the rear bumper. It also looks like there might be air scoops on top of the rear fender? The ridges on the back window are fake.

When/if I get bored of enough later, I'll try to get some decent pics. But it's mostly small sections here and there. You need a little imagination to fill in the rest.

Oh, and that's not a "yellow drink", it's a cigarette lighter. :sly:

Yeah, I entered it and from what I saw atleast 70% of the actual car is already modeled, and I'm wondering what does the red button do? (It says emergency or something like that)

Ok, I got bored enough. I know this isn't much, but here's a few sample pics.

Some of the air scoop on top of the rear fender. Not sure what purpose they would serve besides aesthetics (rear brake duct?)

Rear bumper. You can tell the center tail light is there to throw us off.

Edit:
The emergency cigarette lighter.

Either emergency engine shut-down, or a fire extinguisher.

Nah, I'm pretty sure it's an ejection seat.

Anyway, when are we gonna see some of those Photo-Mode glitch pics promising to reveal more of the actual shape?
Really curious, if I knew how to I would do it myself.

Edit, that is it? Sorry but expected more somehow.

The problem is that you have to get really close for the glitch to happen. So you can only get close up shots of certain areas. And I'm not very good at this either. I just did this in 10 mins. I'm hopping someone better at this then me will take better ones.

I cant find the dlc on the playstationstore. İ went to the sections of cars and tracks but its not there. Anyone can help?

Nice, but now I wonder if all my drivers have longer arms when they were driving C7.

But that interior does remind me of the C4 and the MK4 Supra. Talk about nostalgia in a modern legend. :)

Oh yeah, I dove it in the Stars and Stripes seasonal a day ago when I wanted to see how it drives and races against some of it rivals and the previous gen C6 Vettes. SH gave me a 2nd place first try, SS on the next run nets a 1st place finish.

I'll try this one a few others later. Thanks for the heads up. But you did talk to GM and PD before you did it, right? ;) j/k

That's easy (just don't use the one used for oil). :D

Interior can not be accurate. At least seats are from C6 in the proto. And it looks familiar to old car because corvette interior has always been dated :)

Probably has a lot of C6 parts in it as it's only a test mule.

Edit: As for the Emergency dial... it's either for main power shutoff or fire extinguisher if needed.

I guess the interior is subject to change before release.

Mostly the dashboard. When you look at how it curves up to the steering wheel. Looks similar to those two cars (Supra and C4 Vette) when you keep looking at the interior for long ;). Yep, I witnessed a little bit of the C6 from the pictures that one of the guys posted from photomode.

It could be the engine on/off switch. Or a switch to turn off the TCS system.

Oh yeah, did you guys see the new Car and Driver magazine with the C7? It's the Jan '13 issue and they are talking about some parts of the car and pictures of the final and mass produced look.

So if anyone going out to a store or a bookstore, look around the magazine area for it. It's a good read though.

*pics*

Well it already looks as if the most interesting parts of the car are all fake.

I think the red button is the self destruct mechanism, in case the test driver is surrounded by photographers. :sly:

I just want to get 600th post but anyway i've seen a video in the ring and i think it's more than 500bHP

Edit*

If the bhp was already announced i want to say sorry because i'm not keeping track of this thread
