Why/how did this thread go from discussing the new C7 to some childish "who's is bigger" driving challenge that has nothing to do with the topic at all?

I remember now why I stopped doing all the GT5 testing and posting here a year ago.

The petty ego-swinging ends here. Take it to some other thread, preferably one specifically for it, instead of trashing yet another one.

Now returning to the regularly-scheduled program...

I haven't really driven it yet but I like it not just for the car but also for what it represents with the future of GT and their relationship with the auto industry.

Fully agree, its the relationship between an automotive manufacturer and PD that I was much more excited about than driving the actual car..That said its not my most favorite fr to drive, but there are far worse in my garage..

I'm in the same boat when talking about the car.
For a pre-production test mule, it is actually really good. Not often is a prototype that great, hence the prototype title. If it were a finished product it would be publicly available.

It's not major. Seems like PD screwed up the camber settings or something. I actually did not check what they were and if they were even realistic.

Wow seems my thread turned into a "Mines bigger than yours" Thread. Lets remain on Topic people I shouldn't have to read through Pages of little squabbles to find Discussions on the Car itself. 👍

Admin already noted this. So do not continue off topic yourself.
I would been keen to know what forza players think of C7 proto? It is available to forza 4 also, isn't it?

As of now, I have heard of nothing of it being available for Forza.

If there was any news or indication of Forza getting the C7, it definitely would have been on Forza Planet's front page.

It's a GT5 exclusive for now.

Think this prototype at least will remain a GT5 exclusive (although I see no logical reason why it should), hope the C7 doesn't as I hate game exclusives, still want the new Viper as well.

Wouldn't that be something, the new C7 and Viper offered simultaneously in a new batch of DLC, although perhaps the production C7 might be offered for free as well.

Depends how much car company sees this as marketing vs making money. I mean if they want market it, they should demand that the car is free.

I love this thing it is sweet. I haven't this giddy over a vette since.... (thinks) they announced the new zr1

I think we could see the production car in Forza for sure, but like you said, it would have to be a 'trade' for the Viper.

Has anyone did the "glitch photo mode" with it yet? I did a little last night, and there's a fully rendered car beneath the coverings. You can get a kinda a good idea on how the car will actually look. Which also means there will probably will be another DLC of it in the near future.

I don't think developers / publishers / marketers should get into that malarkey. I don't believe Sony should even think about stipulating any conditions that might prevent GM from offering the C7 to other games. It only hurts us gamers.

Like any good company, Sony cares about their bottom line more than any individual gamers. If they can get the exclusive at an acceptable price, I guarantee you they will..as would I.

I think that's what developers who lack confidence in there software would do.

EA and there Porsche license as an example. The best bit a of there game is the fact Porsche is in it. Although to be fair they only represent Porsche in looks. Physics wise it could be a cardboard box for all I know.

Exclusives just hurt the game Eco system for me.
If all developers start grabbing certain manufacturers the variety will dry up and hurt consumers. IMHO.

Totally agree.

Think of EA with the Porsche and Pagani Hurayayayayayua license.

Pretty sure its somewhere in Forza 4 (or Forza Horizon?). Last I checked, It was only a timed exclusive like I'm sure the SRT Viper is. All that (along with this Corvette) means is that said developer gets that car first (not forever to themselves like with Porsche and EA).

I agree. This type of act doesn't do good to the industry.

Look at T10 and Ferrari. They have the exclusive license of Ferrari, but they give PD, Codies and the others the Prancing Horse. PD and Nissan, they still give T10 and the others cars from the home of the GTRs. Even though it's exclusive, at least they share, that's the good side of this deal.

But look at EA and Porsche, not giving anyone a 911 from Germany. Screwing over PD, T10, Codies and SMS from having a 911 or any Porsche in their games. But look at their business with NFS, I don't hear that much about their games compared to others out there and the NFS series are crappy, like a cardboard box . So they hog the license. Which shows this is a downfall in the industry.

But I don't think this is still a good idea though. Let's just keep it neutral guys.

@Racecar: Yep. I think that's what they are doing with Forza with the GTS and GT with the C7. So both games will see both cars on GT and FM in the future.

Just a correction, Microsoft only own the exclusive Ferrari rights on the PC and Xbox 360 platform, not PS3.

Thanks for the correction Simon. But even as a exclusive only for the X-Box and PC, T10 and M$ gave Sony and PD the Ferrari, and that's a system faraway from the Microsoft systems.

And I think there's a game on the PS3 that's a Ferrari racing game, don't know the name though. And then there's the Ferrari Racing Legends which was featured on all systems.
