So, Just spent 2 hours driving this with my friend. Wow, this is my favorite car to drive in a loooooooong time on GT5. Absolutely adore it. 👍

So chuffed. Thanks Chevy and PD. 👍

If the final production Corvette handles like this I would be happy.

I got a chance to play with it for about 20 minutes. I did 4 laps around Trial Mountain 1st in the C6 Z06, then 4 laps in the C7. I was slower than the Z06 by only 2 tenthes. The C7 turned in better, had less understeer, put the power down better, and felt more predictable overall. The Z06 was nerve-racking whereas the C7 was easy to drive by comparison. Both cars were on SH tires, TCS 1, ABS 1, no other aids. Can't wait to drive the real one!

This is the fastest base Corvette ever at 450 BPH and 450 lb-ft of torque. Chevrolet believe it will run from 0-60 in under 4 seconds (as fast as the Camaro ZL1).

It handles very well. It's almost as fast as a stock Z06 in-game. It out corners the Z06 but is overtaken on the straights.

Just wait till the C7 Z06 is announced. I predict 525 BPH and perhaps a C6 ZR1 killer.

525hp from a LS7/8 6.5L....... I smell rubber burning now. But the C7 won't have a chance with the C7 ZR1 :trouble:👍.

Could you imagine the C7 ZR1 if the C7 Z06 ends up a C6 ZR1 Killer? It would be utterly insane.

Hmmmm a C7 with a LS9 or LS10 7L OHV engine pushing between 690-750hp with a supercharger twin screw or a turbocharger... 💡

 at previous post.

It's a nice change for sure and hopefully we have new DLC due soon.

The reason the c7 is easier to drive because it got 450 hp and the zo6 got 505 hp

That's because it is wrapped in a towel (cloth)

I think the c7 got a wider wheelbase then the c6.maybe that's why it handle so good

Just tried it, awful car.
Possibly the worst handling car on GT5, huge understeer on corner entry (related to a retarded 2nd gear ratio), insane oversteer mid-corner/on corner exit (which is crazy considering it's not extremly powerful), oversteer under heavy braking...

To sum it up:
OVERSTEER, UNDERSTEER, UNDERSTEER, OVERSTEER, OVERSTEER, OVERSTEER (glue effect, no recovery), boom.

Also, lol at comments saying this has good handling. Shows how 99% of this forum know crap about what they're talking about (or never drive without racing softs, your usual GT5 scrub fashion).

Jeremy Clarkson once said that the Corvette ZR1 oversteers too much, yet when in the hands of professional racing drivers, they manage to tame the oversteer very well. I can only imagine the same with them taming understeer better than motoring journalists.

Considering I use Comfort Softs, which is one level down from Sport Hards, and I have no problem with excessive understeer or oversteer, surely it means something is wonky with your driving.

Egg on face.

actually i find the c7 fun to drive and mine have stock tires and oil changed

Yes sorry, I forgot to mention that 99.9% of people here are too slow to notice handling characteristics.
You can add this to my original argument.

I have to disagree with your accessment of the car. I don't think its that bad at all. Handles pretty good for me. And no, I'm not using racing soft tires, thats not my style. I use stock tires.

I never knew oversteer or understeer = good driver. By your logic Jeremy Clarkson is better than most professional race car drivers.

Agreed.

In stock form and all aids off, this car is a surprising turd for a new 'vette; the stock ZR-1 from the Chevy dealer runs circles around it. It is way too edgy, with no sense of when you are at the limit (which I've come to really enjoy with most cars since the latest physics changes).

I hope they get those "handling characteristics" ironed out that they are still working on. :)

I didn't notice any of this. I guess I'm doing something wrong with sports hard and no ABS....

Good point.
Oh wait, I said handling characteristics, which isn't equall term as understeer/oversteer.

Don't put words in my mouth next time.

To guy above - I also did all my testing without ABS, your point? Also, nice sig.

Except that's exactly what you said:

Seems to me that you're using the words under and oversteer to describe handling characteristics, which is basically what most, if not all car reviewers use.

As I did also and like I said, still thought the car handled well. Did not notice any of the ill handlng characteristics you described.

Short answer: no.

Long answer: nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, read bellow;

I totally mentioned oversteer/understeer here, right?

Avg. GTP user version (simple yo'):
I never mentioned oversteer/understeer in the post above, so stop adding words to my posts. Thx

Reffering to the first line of text in question.
