Has anyone posted any side-by-side comparisons of the "Black Mask" Corvette to the 2014 Corvette to see how truly "Masked" the test one was, or to see if there's any discrepancies?

For a base Vette, this thing is fast. The fastest base Vette ever.

Imagine a Stingray Z06. Oh, lord. Or a ZR1 Stingray. Yum! :)

I tried it on the Daytona speedway track in the Stars & Stripes 600PP event, and the C7 on 5 gear was catching up to all the cars, until my PS3 froze...

But still, the C7 is a really great car and like you said, its fast. O_O Loved it. :)

An easy drive, smooth as silk. Cool view looking out over the front fenders. Ran it on the Nordschleife and Daytona RC. Doesn't need tuning as long as BB is adjustable. Can't people enjoy a car without tuning it?

Speed test comparison (ran on Racing Soft tyres)

Test Proto

Stingray Proto

Observations:
The car has longer gears than the Test Proto , thus it is slower on 1/4 mile and has higher top speed , even in 5th gear.
Also , even thought the weight and power figures look similar to Test Proto , the Stingray Proto has slightly lower pp rating. (and possibly a fraction less power)

Both cars have 478 bhp when broken in + oil changed
They both weight 1500kg.

Thanks MadMax, I was quite curious about the comparison. Couldn't test it out my self, as the family has the TV.

Help!!!

I can't download the Vette since there is another pending DLC from the PSN Store :ouch::ouch::ouch:

How can I erase it from my shopping list????

Just pause your dlc from the download manager. It's on your PS3 main screen.

EDIT: Should be under Account management.

I haven't downloaded it yet :guilty: I'm stuck on a screen where the 2 DLC's are shown... the first is a DLC I can't download because for some reason I can't add more money to my account from my credit card... It won't allow me to get the Vette only :ouch:

Edit: I just looked where you told me Koios! Worked perfectly! :) Thanks a lot bro!!! :D

Thanks so much! I knew I felt something different.

I also find it pretty interesting how different the taillights are-

Nice hook and timing with the release of the Vette at the NAIAS Detroit, but did GM pay PD and say here do this for Jan 14 or did PD pay GM for the rights and design data? Looks like both benefit from this exercise.

And after finding it in the PSN store, this portion in the description further backs up what I'm saying:

"However, this is still not the production spec model, being the final prototype before it goes into production"

So no, its not a glitch or PD being lazy, its a Pre-Production Model. This isn't the first time PD has included cars both in pre-production form thats severly limited in customization and the actual production cars which can be customized.

Seriously people, Relax.

This place can't relax. It really does pain me to say to say this but GTPlanet has a serious case of entitlement.

After a closer look... I realized I downloaded the C7 Proto again :guilty: No C7 Stingray yet... any ideas????
:(

Still stuck where I told you last :(

Are you seeing the Stingray in your PSN store at all?

About the taillights... Ok when the Big Three usually test a car they cover it and in some cases add secondary body panels to further hide the cars true shape. Take my word on that or not. I just had been seeing this senaryo for years considering how close I live to Detroit

Go to the store>ps3 add-ons>new add-ons

It will be there

It's hardly because of "entitlement" to be surprised when the car they made the big deal out of can't even be acquired in the same colors that GM showed it off in, nevermind the fact that the "it's a prototype" argument hasn't applied to any of the other cars of that nature already in the game (which you would have seen had you read more of the thread than just the post that allows you an excuse to bitch about GTP members again).

This car is supposed to be making an appearance at Barrett-Jackson this week. I'm guessing Friday or Saturday during prime time.

Just did a 1/4 run in the Vette (with Oil change) under full throttle with no Driving Aids.... 12.535.... Thats the time for a 2012 SRT8 Challenger in real life........

I'm stuck on the screen were you confirm your purchase: Vette is there, and on top of it, another DLC I can't download because of lack of funds. I can't add money to my account...

Yes, it is entitlement. People here feel they are...

..entitled to painting the car.
..entitled to changing the wheels.
..entitled to tuning the vehicle.

All on something they didn't pay for. They could always go play with the C7 on another game. Oh wait..

Checking for you right now.

EDIT: If I'm not mistaken, you should be in your cart at the checkout screen. Your two items should be on left. Highlight the item you DON'T want. Once you highlight the item, an "X" will appear next to the DLC. Click the X, and viola, your good to go.

No. People here can't understand why you can't do it, since there is no given reason for it that is consistent with PD's past actions. That's not entitlement. That's confusion.

So, again, tell me more about how much you hate GTP (even as you go out of your way to post for no other reason than to say how much you hate GTP).

I'm sure people would happily pay for the C7 if it meant they could use it like the overwhelming majority of the cars in the game. No one asked PD to impose huge restrictions on its use that are completely out of tune with every other example of similar such cars already in the game (I see you missed the list given) nor did anyone ask PD to implement all of those restrictions in response to not charging for the car; and acting like everyone should be happy that PD have a timed exclusive on the car and thus can implement it as poorly as they want is just another example of your typical detachment from reality when it comes to you dictating how others should be acting.

Again, this was already discussed in detail before you decided to complain about GTP members.
