I work at Wal-Mart, and I've spotted a few of them in the back. They're all in lock-up though. Only 9 days, I plan to be there first thing in the morning. I'll probably be able to get in before everyone else since I'm an employee.

My local Dixons had a Xbox 360 set up for people to have a go on the other day, it was running some sort of 'Medal of Honor' game. I'm no Microsoft/Xbox fan, but i have to say - it was ****ing impresive looking!

That medal of honour type game would've been call of duty 2. Personally, it looks like a current gen high-spec PC game, quite bored of WW2 FPS myself... Can't wait till Halo3
Killzone may also be good on PS3, Sony are outlaying a LOT of $$$ to try and get a Halo quality FPS on a Sony platform.

A little bird told me that Guerilla has learnt a LOT since the first game... they may be coming of age...

To be quite honest - it blew me away. I presume it was running in hi-def mode, it was certainly sharper than any standard TV could handle. It looked more like what you'd expect from a well spec'ed PC. It was the lighting effects and smoothness of movement (frame-rate) that impressed the most. I don't have a PC myself - so i can't really give any comparisons, but it was certainly a huge step-up from what i'm used to from my PS2. Quite how much of an improvement it would look like on a standard resolution TV compared with a 'original' Xbox game i don't know - i would have thought that the original Xbox pretty-much pushed the envelope of what a 'standard' TV could display.

$300 That's put to much better use on a PS3 thanks. Actually, maybe I'll "rent" it so I can see how bad PGR will be.

Well considering that I've played every other console at some point and didn't like it at all (sometimes because their controller was inferior to the PS, which I hope doesn't change) It didn't look as great or it just wasn't the same as the PS's quality in graphics or feel. Not to mention, I'm not a gamer so buying two different consoles when I barely use one is kind of a waste especially when were talking $400. I don't need the latest and greatest thing anyway, my DF is proof of that.

It IS nice that the 360 controller has 2 extra shoulder buttons, FINALLY the ability to change gears in car games properly. This sucked royally on Xbox 1 (despite the analouguous trggers).
