Crazy Lamborghini Miura price tag

The price tag isn't the issue for me. It's more that to make that cash, it's genuinely boring and isn't a challenge, just a pure grind.

The game should offer better rewards, or the daily log in bonus could return too. Something to take the chore of it away and see competitive play rewarded enough that if that's all you do, you make progress with that at least as much as in single player doing ovals repeatedly.

Happily drive/earn the credits, just be less tedious is all.

I already purchased this car multiple times in previous GT’s, please now that the developers are not lavishing us with game credits in GTS, make it less expensive.

Attacking an entire generation based on one persons thoughts?

Attacking an entire generation based on many people’s thoughts, venting on one persons thread.

Day after day I see on forums, “this game is too hard”, “this game isn’t fair”, “that car/weapon is OP”, “that costs too much”.

Where is the sense of achievement when everything is given to you? When I eventually buy the Miura, like I have done in previous games, I’ll know I’ve earned it, and it will be glorious.

If you want something in real life, something expensive what do you do? (Ignore credit for one moment please!) You save for it. And how? You go to work, doing the same tasks. Day in, day out. Week in, week out, month after month, sometimes even years. One could even call it a grind! I guess that makes the game ultra realistic! I dont get a daily bonus each time i check into work, if i moan to BMW enough they wont lower the price of the M2 I want because im fed up with grinding away at work because its so boring and repetetive. I absolutely hate this thing of moaning about having to pay for something expensive because its hard work. Sums up life very well.

The problem with that argument is that in the real world, there's supply and demand and companies pitched their products at a price they think the customer can bear.

In the gaming world, and especially in this case its aribitrary.... its $15 mil. because its been that for the last 10 yrs.

In GT6 I dont think there was much complaint simply because money came real easy.

Here, as I said, its about 30 races at Blue Bay in a KTM? If its worth it to you, you know what to do. I personally do not classify 'grinding' as hard work - its just mindless gaming a system.

I'm passed $15 mil by doing 100 league trophies, 100% school, and 95% missions 95% track challenges... and not buying that much cars.

I'm not about to buy the Miura unless I flat out about to hit $20 mil. with nothing else to buy.

I wont be buying the Miura, not because i cant afford it but because quite simply I have no use for it what so ever! Same with most road cars to be honest, largely useless! (To me)

You make a very good point. However, a game should surely be just that, right? A game. Not saying every car should cost 50,000 credits but when it reaches the stage where a game stops becoming enjoyable, it defeats the purpose of playing it in the first place IMO.
Good luck with saving up for your M2 :)
Don't know whereabouts you live but I do know that here in the UK you could put down a couple grand, pay a monthly lease and voila! Great idea for these people who want everything NOW and actually wanted it YESTERDAY lol.
Not that the car is actually theirs but they can drive around pretending that it is.

And people wonder why the 2008 crash happened. People living beyond their means once again....

I'm with you... I'm a fan of the various guides out there that showed you how to play Gran Turismo and Forza without buying much cars... this was me until it came to a point where you had too much credits and you needed to burn them all and then GT and Forza became a car collecting game.

Forza and this GTS are complicit with the specialty dealer and the exchange dealer.

I have no issue buying a car if I need it to pass a challenge or I cant wait for the daily to hit my bingo prize.

Just run what you have in your garage... most of us are past 100+ cars.

Lincolnshire, UK. Yep, i literally save for everything (except my house, that would be plain nuts right?!) I'm in a decent position where i run a smallish but succesful home renovations business so theres always a decent income. So for example, a few months back one of our vans was starting to show signs that it no longer wished to live. I could have quite simply got credit that day and bought a new one. However, lets say we bought that through the business accounts and for whatever reason in 18 months time our business folds. So weve lost the deposit on that van, 18 months of payments and the bank takes all assets leaving us with nothing. Bad position. I personally saved up for that van and have it in my name rather than business (can still claim for business expenses though). We now have a 9 month old van that owes us zero and is now a personall asset. Bought through grinding, doing saturdays, late nights, sacrificing nights out etc. And its the same for the M2. I will get it soon, but it wont owe me a single penny.

I always wondered what the finance companies could do if you weren't able to afford and stopped paying the monthly repayments. Sure, take the car away but I wouldn't have thought they could take ALL your assets such as house, possessions etc?
Unless that is specifically stipulated in the T's and C's??

I'm a driving instructor so I'm out on the roads all day Monday to Friday. The amount of high performance cars I see with brand new or almost new plates is frightening.
I know the vast majority are on PCP and owe craploads to the finance companies. I must see at least 5 M4s a day, dozens of Cayennes, loads of S3s, Golf Rs etc. All a false economy.

Its a daily prize car, just like the '67 Ferrari, Jag. Just highlight and win.
There's a 25% chance of winning it, from a 4/228 (1.75%) chance of it even appearing in the carousel. That means you should see it once every 54 days and win it once every 228 days - assuming no further cars are added to the game.

Edit: Actually I just realised it's 4/219 (Racing Kart, GT-R Pace Car are specific prize cars that I'm not aware of ever being in the carousel, plus the nine Mileage Exchange cars), so 1.82%.

You do know this is a videogame, yes?

Probably the most ridiculous comment here, lol. Rather embarrassing how far some go to defend things so poor.

Sorry, yes I could have been clearer there. So let's say I took out £15,000 finance on the van after a £2000 deposit. 18 months later the worst happens and we fold. The amount of finance owing on the van would most likely be greater than the resale value of the van so the finance company repossess it. Not only have we lost the van but there will still be fees to pay. If we can't pay those fees that's when they start taking personally assets. I'm making a very basic example here though as I don't want to keep taking the thread off topic!

I work 40 hours a week in real life and I absolutely HATE it. If you have to grind in a videogame, that defeats the purpose of playing. I'd literally only use the Miura for hot-lap testing at Suzuka East and Tsukuba, and then it would sit in my garage forever untouched.

If you're not going to use the car for at LEAST as long as it took to grind the credits for it, why bother?

It doesn't need to justify its price tag. If you want it, buy it. If you don't, don't.

I don't understand why people are up in arms over this. GT has always had some sort of grind going on for the expensive cars. Whether that's from earning credits doing what you normally do or from running a specific high paying race. Either way, you're still paid to play and if there's a car you're after with your ever increasing credit stack, it's up to you how long it takes you to buy it.

Not buying it as a protest over its price tag is funny. Put your hard earned virtual credits under the virtual mattress for a virtual rainy day instead.

I don't see a problem in the price, if every car was free i wouldn't appreciate them as much, it gives a sence of ownership & having a goal to work on! It's not hard do get that money anyways! I would like to see more 10 to 20mil cars like the 250 gto & that little Alfa Romeo from the previous games!

What the heck makes this car worth $15,000,000? I don't get it. You could buy 15 GR1 cars for that much money. Anyone know what the deal is?

It shouldn't be a surprise since this car have had the same price in GT 5 and GT 6, the deal is that it is a rare and expensive car and it also won the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance Polyphony Digital Trophy in 2008:

https://www.gran-turismo.com/us/news/02_0004372.html

If you really want this car, it's quite easy, do this in 15 days and you can buy it, double the time and you can buy the car in 7,5 days etc:

Go to Professional League then Premium Sports Lounge and choose Race 1 Blue Moon Speedway, use the X-Bow with Power Ratio 115% and Weight Reduction Ratio 94%, use any type of racing tires:

Gran Turismo™SPORT_20180602140758.jpg

with Clean Race Bonus (50%) and Car Handicap Bonus (150%) you will earn 375,000 in 12 min, if you do this each day, you will earn 1,12500 for 36 min grind, you can also race the endurance races and earn 400,000 each time, Clean Race Bonus (50%) will give you 600,000, but I haven't been able to do a clean race so far :O.
So there is ways to earn credits in this game, but you have to put in some extra effort to earn credits for the most expensive cars in GT S.

15million cr./countless play hours for something that is just a scratch of what Assetto Corsa's version give for free. Not worth it... Now i've said it, just ignore.
And that is for me boring to have all cars unlocked from the start, I will rather grind and earn credits to buy the cars, than get them for free, Gran Turismo have always been a great game that way, rare cars in GT is expensive, I you want it you have to work for it, my only complaint would be, it is no log in bonus or 50 mill cap or seasonal events which could help people who dosen't like to grind.

Sense at last. This is escapism not WORK! Ok, I can stomach an element of working to earn a car like winning a championship or even winning a few championships but just finding the best payout and grinding is not FUN. I don't have any less fun playing Assetto Corsa or Project Cars or Even Forza with rental and having all cars available.

Forza has a much better balance of cost to grind ratio and where do PD get their values? In what world is a vintage Lambo worth more than the Sauber?

This. Exactly this, was what got me hooked on Gran Turismo games, over all the other racing games that had come after it. Tried all others, but always back to GT...because there are those Special cars that need to be un-locked
