Sounds great, but I prefer a pandemic over a giant meteor, since the meteor is too unpredictable.

In the case that a pandemic breaks out, all trade in and out of the NEF will be halted, and all NEF citizens will be forced to abandon foreign products, and a vaccine will be in development. If the pandemic breaks out inside the NEF, vaccine research will have more money spent towards it's development.

In fact, $1B is going towards vaccine development. It is not known how long it would take for it to be developed and deployed.

Since everyone seems to want a pandemic, here goes my storyline:

After the M.S.S.R decided to blockade Madagascar for fear of a pandemic spreading, the Madagascarian locals gave the troops meat as an offer to please leave them alone. They did not, but some troops who ate the meat became sick after returning to their homeland, they later died, as well as their families.

LOTF scientists later looked deeper into the Ebola issue, and discovered something terrifying: the Ebola virus could not only transfer through meat, but air, water, and animals as well, sort of like a mutated form of the original virus.

To their horror, they found out the disease had already spread to the Carribean mainland. Thousands have already perished in the LOTF, and now, the disease has been trickled out from the Florida Keys to USS land...
