Just ran a few seasonal's and noticed that the money was low even with my 200% multiplier. Then it hit me. The double payouts are over. Trade one thing for the other I guess. I'm still playing every day :)

UPDATE: The payouts are the same if you play everyday and keep a 200% multiplier. I did the math on LaFiesta Cavallino with the Sarthe track. 168,000 x 3 = 504,000. But you have to play everyday. Won't affect me THAT much.

It is kind of unfortunate they reduced the payouts, but the sequential day online multiplier makes up for it a little. I like the extra incentive to play every day. Question is, what happens with unforeseen events like PSN outages?

How can the payouts be the same with 200%? That would only make it double, where as the pre 2.0 was 300% I though?
Its not +200%, its just 200% earnings.

this really sucks.. even with the 200% earnings.. i don't want to race 20 races just to get 1 expansive car..
the payouts before 2.00 were just spot on and if anything i think at this point (1 year after release) they should've let it stay this way..

160.000 for the average seasonal race (320.000 at best, which i know will be a rare thing for me) isn't enough for me to justify grinding for credits to get the all the cars.

Seriously i thought i'd play the heck out of GT5 after the 2.0 update.. but this just takes all the satisfaction by not getting rewarded properly

A few weeks ago, I would have been really bothered but am not now. A while back I started to replace some of my used X2010's with 0/0 ones from the dealership, finished buying the 11th one last week. That cost me 220,000,000 credits, all earned through the triple credit system. I now have all the most expensive race cars in the game with 0/0 status, and apart from that '67 Ford have 2 of each one.

That said, the 200% is actually quite good I think, still pretty high payout.

I here you, even though I have every car in multiples. It was just cool to run one race and get 500 g's in less than 4 minutes, oh well

This really killed it for me.

I only had enough time for 6-7 races a week. But with the OCD / Seasonals, this was enough to let me buy out the OCD each month and try plenty of different cars. Now it isn't. And if I don't log in every single day, I lose the 200% multiplier too?

Screw you, PD.

So it's PD's fault you don't have time to play their game? You're lucky you even have the seasonals so you don't have to grind A-Spec.

Seems PD have a great knack of giving to one hand and take with the other.

Wow~~~~
Fortunately I finished all my $$ grinding yesterday.
Couldn't they have at least given us some notice?

also the cars in the OCD have gone back to normal as well, so screwed both ways

the notice was made at the inception of triple payouts like 5 months ago, lol.

The triple payout should have been over 2 months ago already.

still unfortunate to those who play limited time, but that shouldn't be your concern. Enjoy the game for what it brings YOU.

If I'm not mistaken this was mentioned a while back on one of the spec 2.0 threads so its no surprise really. Guess the moaners want everything for no effort.

Get over it.

So is La Festa Cavallino: Sarthe Circuit still the best one to 'grind'?

My "effort" ended when I forked over money for the game. Thanks. Everything after that has been about entertainment. Slowly building up a garage and trying out new cars has been big part of that, especially since I didn't have to repeat any single race if I didn't want to. It was fun, and enjoyable. Sort of like how games are suppose to be.

Looks like a lot of people around the web are annoyed by it, so here's to hoping PD will come to their senses.

i miss 500k per 3 minutes

same :( guess will try to log on once a day just to keep highest multiplier. or need to look at how to get mucho cash with those online glitches if there are any that still work

if you are grinding cash then yes, even if less than before it is still more than others cr/min

Really, seriously? I'm installing 2.0 as we speak. Let alone this wants to make me cancel it.

There is a TON of updates/bug fixes. And you want to cancel it for 1 thing?

I didn't. However, I'm still deeply dissapointed by the decision reducing the seasonals prize money and experience points. It was my main gripe from the very begginning with GT5 - the grinding. However, they did made it less obvious with seasonals once it was implemented, but yet again it's all about the grinding.

As much as I'm loving the LMPs and the open wheelers cockpit view and the other features I've been looking forward to, this has really put me off.

It sounds kinda funny if you put it like this:

I am disappointed, because PD makes it harder to grind and get better cars.

The prize money, prize cars and experience points are portioned utterly poor in A-spec. The seasonals evened it out, untill now. It's now the same old boring grinding. I'm playing a racing game, not a freaking RPG.

Well, every time you log in you get 110% of what it was originally (permanent increase for all), and if you log in several days this get better.

In the end, you will always get more cash/xp each race, than what you did get before the 3x period. 👍

That's just retarded. I pity those who can't log in.

Well there is a glitch or something as ive just run the le-sarthe seasonall in my 458 and only won 168,000 credits so this % thing isnt working. And dont say ive not logged in before today as I spend at least 4 hours a days 7 days a week ingame.
