when i'm drifting on Eiger Nordwand (or anywhere for that matter): EUROBEAT :D (mostly the songs from initial d, ex. Running in the 90's and such, lol)

Menu: Meshuggah\Blut aus Nord catalogs.

Race: None. Only on endurance I find music keeps my attention at the max during enduros, the constantly changing tempos and sounds really shake the monotony away.

how about old school? :sly:

chris hülsbeck is a great game songwriter....one of his favorites is the TURRICAN theme:
nice for driving GT5 i am sure...

Im quite worried about the fact that custom soundtracks might not be in the game at all, I hope we could somehow get real confirmation as the info on the official site no longer states that custom music will be in the game,
lets just hope for the best, but yeah Feeder has to be in if we can use custom sounds

well if it isn't in the game, i have my ipod, so it wouldnt be a total loss if it wasnt

anyways yeah, song like this is what i would listen too while drifting ( i didnt put any of them up last time)

and of course, it goes without saying , that most of thses songs are from initial d, except two (or three if you count the one that was done by the same band that does most of the songs [m.o.v.e.], but wasnt in the anime or game)

If the engine sounds for GT5 are, indeed, being improved as mentioned, then the cars will provide all the soundtrack I need.

...

Is it November 2, yet?

I'll be listening to mainly electronica, Drum and bass and I'll chuck in some rock. Depends on the car really, sometimes its best just to listen to the engine.

And this on for endurance races only, on repeat.....

Metallica-Fuel for American Muscle Cars (Rob Zombie-Dragula could work as well)
Daiki Kasho-5oul on D!SPLAY for Japanese Sports cars
South preservation Society (for Minis and I cant believe I'm the first to think of this)
The Beatles for classic British Sports Cars
Some Pop Punk for Endurance races
and Feeder the rest of the time!!!!!!

I wouldn't need custom soundtracks if games still had music like this. GT1 had that flavour too. I'm getting nostalgic. :guilty:

Wow i had this game and i don't remember that music track, however, it is AWESOME, i think i'll be listening to this while playing :)

The engine sounds.

But on occasion the stuff I have on my PS3 (Anthrax, Metallica, Iron miaden, Judas Preist ect.) 👍

Nothing, I don't have to upload anything to my playstation because I can mix game audio and cd's with the same system :). But mostly no music, maybe only for endurances.

None music what so ever. I never, ever, listen to any music due to a religious reason.

The engine sound is my music.

I did hower listened to music many years back. Mainly HOUSE, with a nice beat. :)

Music while you race, hehe. Makes me think of that movie Iron Eagle when he pops in that casette tape right before he engages the enemy base.

Engine sound for me thank you.

Acually it'll probably only be during an endurance race that I DO infact listen too music, but shurely not the whole race.. Something like This:

Exactly why do people feel the need to say things like "The engine is the only music I'm listening to" in a thread that clearly asks specifically people who will be listening to music? Seriously, whats the point? Why did you even post knowing full well it says "Custom Soundtracks", which clearly means music on your HDD, not engine sounds?

I have compiled the GT3 soundtrack to listen to. However, for my first race, I will listen to the song below. It is the most epic song of all time. The second half is even more epic. This song plays when Chuck Norris wakes up in the mornings:sly::sly::sly:.

Without straying too far off-topic... seriously? Muslim? I have Muslim friends who have always wondered how that particular belief has spread. I dunno how I could live without music at all, but hey, more power to you.

It's epic indeed, but after watching the movie, I don't think I could ever mentally separate the movie topic from the music. Therefore, not the images I want in my head upon first loading up GT. Besides... shouldn't the answer to "first race music" always be Moon Over the Castle? ;)

I don't think I'm alone in saying this is going straight into my GT playlist, if it's not already in-game, that is. I haven't listened to the Chemical Brothers regularly in nearly a decade, but if this is indicative of their new stuff, I may have to again:

As far as I remember, this track came on when watching those photo slide shows of each car in the game. It's is like that in the PS1 version at least.

It might be a silly question but I don't know the answer.

When playing your music you can still hear the game noise in the background, yes?
