Drum and Bass
Electronica
Breakbeat
and some hip-hop/rap.

I'm compiling a custom soundtrack folder for GT5 with only good songs. So far I've got at least 8 hours of music. Which is more than enough I guess.

I'll be listening to pretty much any songs I liked from previous GTs.

I don't think I'm alone in saying this is going straight into my GT playlist, if it's not already in-game, that is. I haven't listened to the Chemical Brothers regularly in nearly a decade, but if this is indicative of their new stuff, I may have to again:

With you on that one 👍 Funny thing when I first heard that song, I thought "Wow, awesome song. Sounds like Something the Chemical Brothers would make" and surely enough it is and its on the same album where this spectacular song is:

Tool almost anytime and some 'pedal to the metal' metal songs that when u listen want to go faster than car is capable of.

While battling for first place against another good driver...

For night/rain races...

I usually don't listen to music while racing, but that's still not gonna stop me from making an ultimate Rock playlist. Hard rock, Rock&Roll...the best rock bands and past GT favorites.

Sometimes i wonder what it would be like if PD made a cockpit sound filter, to make the music sound as if its playing through the cars speakers(if any for some). Hmmm?

i been out of the mix for sometime. is gt5 supporting custome sound tracks? if it doesn't i'll be pissed off.

Yes, it is supporting custom Soundtracks (hence the name of the thread).

Let's see...I have some Eminem and Living Colour on my PS3, although I might as well stick in the ear buds, and crank up these songs:

Feeder- Miss You
Eminem- Infinite
Daiki Kasho- 5oul On D!splay
Marakesh- Zhdat
Weezer- Automatic
Kavinsky- Testarossa (Sebastian Remix)
Depeche Mode- Personal Jesus
Michael Hunter- Soviet Connection
Eminem- Cinderella Man

Yeah that should keep me good for an hour, then I'll just get used to the game's soundtrack.

And this song for the Top Gear challenge...lol jk

Does Tom Cruise still hold the fastest track time? I haven't been able to catch Top Gear in awhile. I know Jay had it one season.

When i'm in the mood for jammin out i'll listen to some Pantera, Opeth, Megadeth, Machine Head, Old Metallica, Fear Factory, etc. and then i'll prolly listen to just the cars when i want to some days.

During Races, the engine.

But some Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, classical and even some old games soundtracks (like Sega Rally, Daytona, RR4, etc.) for replays.

Finally got around to listening to the album more lately, and I'd be lying if I said I'd ever expect a serious driving song from them. But this, this works so well:

I will have the music set low during the races. Mos Def, Jedi Mindtricks and any Marley will be in the background and some splashes of Tupac
