Why do they insist on racing GR.1 cars on tracks that aren't meant to have cars that wide on it.

GR.1 really should be regulated to Maggiorre, Nurb GP & maybe Interlagos and Monza, but even those last 2 are a little narrow.

Big Willow might be sort've wide, but there is one decent racing line for the most part, and the track isn't well suited for GR.1.
I mean, racing GR.1 on Big Willow is like racing GR.3 on Horse Thief Mile, just don't do it.

Yeah, but you had 89 wins at the time of my previous post (91 now). It's pretty clear you're good. Like, I get coming close and not getting that coveted trophy, but again, you have a win total that many of us will probably never have, so your frustration was a little silly to me. Congratulations on the win count, though.
 
Glad everyone cleared up the deal with the bars... I thought it was an indicator of respecting track limits!

Did someone say Skylineitis? Since it was past entry for the race i decided to do the qualifying but not entering option till the race was clear to to enter. I had the counter steer set to strong and I had that thing doing the most beautiful drifts and I was able to keep it on the track. Come race time and I was too late to do a proper qualifying and change any settings I could. During the race it handled very differently and it was a struggle. The handling also seemed to degrade over time even though tire wear wasn't part of the race!
 
Interlagos was amazing yesterday. I was up early and got 3 races in before work. They were all crash fests that plummeted my DR 6000pts and my SR from S to B. I got really frustrated with it and went to work with this look on my face: :grumpy:

The I tried again last night and got 5 races in before bed. What a difference! It must have just been the player pool or the fact that I was in Low SR S in the morning. Anyways, people were very clean and respectful on track had some phenomenally close matches and alot of overtaking (and a few clean race bonuses ;)) although ORMA_Butter creamed me. Even saw @Voodoovaj in a races although I got disconnected halfway through:indiff:. People around me were incredulous when I exclaimed oh!look it's voodoovaj! :lol:

In the end i got my DR back to where it started and had 5 great races. All in all a good night. Went to bed with this look on my face: :dopey:

I guess you have never been down to SR.C or lower. I saw some gems there after draft bumping on Bluemoon. It was like, ah this is the internet I used to know from online gaming :) The game doesn't filter anything as long as you use spaces...
 
For those who act like their world view is the one and only:
Todays races are a nice change of pace.
Get out of your comfort Gr3 zone with perfect aerodynamics,braking and who knows what else and try some different and challenging driving.
Even if I was racing racing cars all day every day eventually I would get bored.
They mix the categories the best they can in those 3 daily slots, but we surely need a few more.

I’m racing in last place for a “guaranteed” clean race, people are crashing and they get behind me even though I let them pass they still crash into me on purpose

For those who act like their world view is the one and only:
Todays races are a nice change of pace.
Get out of your comfort Gr3 zone with perfect aerodynamics,braking and who knows what else and try some different and challenging driving.
Even if I was racing racing cars all day every day eventually I would get bored.
They mix the categories the best they can in those 3 daily slots, but we surely need a few more.

Personally I wouldn't have a problem racing the lower class cars if the races were a couple of laps longer, they're just too short and it almost always results in a dirty driver or three winning and me losing places and my safety rating going down too.

I'm not racing Tokyo, Willow Springs (except maybe Big Willow an odd time), Alsace, Kyoto and the ovals (maybe one day I will) either.

It would be much easier if they released Le Mans and Spa... tracks!!

The goal of the game is to race, not "level" up. DR is representing your race pace. Just enjoy DR:B and if you eventually move up to A great. If not, so what?

People need to stop with the DR hunting. Not everybody is fast enough to be a DR:B, A or S, no matter what you might think.

The problem ain´t DR.. chase.. but the way you use to chase it... Some guys do it like it should be... (not many unfortunately) others with a machine gun and a bazooka in their hands, and most of them with a hand gun in the pocket ready to blast when punted by some other guy. !!!

I forgot to add that... "and the GOD.. of GTS (you know who I´m talking about)... acts like a true Gun dealer!!!"

Rant incoming. If I buy a game, that game should be in an equally playable state every day. I should NOT have to go on the game, looking forward to playing it, only to see that the developers have gotten out of the wrong side of the bed this morning and made it unplayable for the day. And yes, I did try today's race (C); I'm writing this as I auto-pilot through my second attempt to preserve SR.

Fortunately this is the first time this has happened to me but I know a lot of you guys complain in the same way. Add more daily races per day, PD, or delete these awful tracks from your game so that you're not tempted to do such stupid things.
 
I’d like one GR.3 race every day in its own slot. 20minutes one day, all the way up to 45.

Maybe an IMSA slot as well (LMP1/gr.1) And gr.3

Maybe just have a different track/length each day for each class!

But this is all just my opinion, but for the long term, this daily system they have now is not gonna work..

I would never ask for less (deleting tracks), but for more...
Yes!!
More tracks . .more daily races... more to choose from.. if **** is the only thing that we get... then.. the only way not to get dirty and a true bad smell.. is not joining the ****** club!!!

There are slight peaks in the weekly use at Thanksgiving and Christmas as one would expect. The weekly use data also seems to show a more of a steady state coinciding with the race selections many of us have been complaining about. Perhaps some of the less hardcore players are actually enjoying the schedule lately. This may be bad news for us if this is what PD is seeing.

I don't think you can really read into the numbers at the moment. If they keep up this kind of race selection then they could drop in the coming weeks. I literally lost interest midway through a race today. The real measure of the game's long-term popularity will be the player count in the summer months (June, July) and onwards. I think the game will stay relatively active for a long time.
 
I’m having a lot of fun racing Suzuka tonight, would never have thought that looking at races this morning
 
I feel a little bad, battling in the back at Monza last night in GR1, using the Puegoet since it’s got awesome straight away speed, wanted something different. Anyway... I got blocked making a pass for 12th or so after drafting, as I pulled out, going much faster, so did he, I slammed on the brakes, bumped him and got my SR rating dropped momentarily also lost a ton of momentum. Wanting to give him a bump into the chicane to express myself a bit, he braked late, I braked a little later and shoved him off. Oops. Bad idea. But after he hit me back a couple times, I couldn't help but think it was all avoidable.

Anyways, retailiation is sometimes appropriate. But should I have attempted it for a block on the straight?

I regret it since I was using a car I thought would be fun, but less competitive. It didn’t feel fun, even though I gained 3 spots in an otherwise clean race.

Honestly, I would’ve blocked them. When people mess with me, I do retaliate. I’m not talking about an errant bump. I’m talking repeated ramming. I get pretty fed up when someone keeps hitting me. I like to take them out at their rear tires or pin them into walls. Just pass me. Don’t wreck my momentum.
 
Got disconnected 3 laps from the end at Gr1 Interlagos (Nations Cup)
Qualified 9th, was 4th with a 1.5 second gap to the 3rd!!
Got a 1934 drop on my Dr!
I was 3 to 4 bars all the time!

I had a guy intentionally try to bump me off on the last turn at Big Willow. So I let him by and did a crossover move and wound up on his right on the straight. He then slams into me twice trying to run me off the road. Hit me once I let it go, but continue and I'm taking you out. I ran him down to the left side of the track. When he realized turn 1 was coming up he tried to come up on me and pit maneuvered himself. I drove thru him as he ghosted lmao. I hope he learned from this, but probably not. I race people clean, but guys like this need to be taught a lesson.

I really hate Dragon Trail. Did the FIA Manufacturer's race on it today and that 🤬 chicane just brings out the dirty in everyone. I actually would enjoy the track if not for that. I don't know why PD thought a disaster zone like that was a good idea. It's dangerous on the best of days, and a source of absolute carnage on the worst. They really need to make a variant version of that track where the chicane is either more gradual or completely removed.

Compounding my frustration was the fact that the Ferrari 458 Gr.3 immediately spins when accelerating with a wheel on a kurb with TC 0. Hell, it spins even accelerating slightly through turn 3. This makes the car a prime target for divebombs until the Ferrari can get on the gas again. Sure, slapping on strong CSA and a high TC can mitigate this, but why even drive the Ferrari at that point?
 
GR.1 on Big Willow is a lot of fun today, good races. First lap half the cars fly off into the desert and at the end 1/3rd of the field is a lap behind, which means just by staying on the track you'll get a good finish position. Best so far is from 9th to 2nd for me, then I got stuck behind back markers that stayed nicely in the middle of the road. Nr 1 was 10 sec ahead already anyway, no use risking the clean race bonus.

Next one is up already, starting 11th, the aliens are back up front, guess no 2nd this time.
