It's not clean anymore on the N24, kids are all up and racing.

Does anyone else have the suspicion PD has toned the penalties down even further since the update? In my last race I got bumped off the road twice and the offending car didn't get anything. The race before that, same thing. Lap 1 was total chaos and after the race there were only 3 red ratings. It felt more like a 70% red room.

Perhaps PD has turned the sensitivity down even further in preparation for the penalty zones. I see people getting away with a lot more today. Last night as well when a certain driver showed up. Fast and leaving a trail of wrecks when he fell to the back, however never getting a penalty for driving a bunch of cars off the road.

If this is true, the game will be even more stacked in favor of bumping and aggressive driving as avoiding still gives you track penalties...

Beware, N24 be messy in the back right now.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I wish Nurb 24 would be around a bit longer since it has such a high skill ceiling. I'm gradually becoming a bit more consistent and comfortable with the track and it's sadly gone in a day :(. There's so many more cars/combinations I've yet to try as well. I also still haven't qualified.

I did a few more races today in the 4c and managed a 5th place finish (overall best) and only losing control once so I'm fairly happy. Hopefully I'll try out the Supra later/tomorrow.

I think the Vette accelerates fastest at 1/3 to 1/2 bar, but is still strong at 0 to 1/4 bar, which will get you through the race at FM1 with no draft...most likely. I try to shift just before or just after the bar starts to light. Usually I'm before the bar going into 5th and 6th, and just after going into 3rd and 4th. Doing this, I never even check my fuel, just watch for the warnings and plan accordingly. Usually I can push the revs more in the 2nd lap, but anything over 1/2 bar does nothing for your speed. The GT is the same. 1/4 to 1/2 bar shifting is optimal.
You're spot on there.

If I'm pushing hard I'll take it to 6300 or 6400 as there's decent power all the way to 6500 but it drinks heavy when I do so I usually keep it lower in the rpm range. Here's a race I did yesterday:

I agree 100%. Make it a permanent fixture.

I tried the 4C yesterday as well and the first four races I couldn't keep it on track for more than 3 minutes at a time. I got the hang of it eventually though and now I can't stop driving it.

Edit: This is the race where I finally cracked the code and got the Alfa Romeo to dance. A big thanks to my friend Rocket52poynter for letting me pass after towing me up the hill. And a big apology to Morfastbadboy and everyone else who got caught up in my wrecks earlier in the evening.

Just got my first one in, started 14th with no Q, finished 5th in the AMG, I short shifted the entire time and made it though without a stop on mediums but I forgot to switch to FM2 on lap 1 and started the last lap with .8 left and hat to run FM6 until the final straight where I had .4 laps left and went back to FM1. Not a bad race, I spun out once in the first lap, no punts though but there were a few bump passes but nothing majorly bad or anything. Overall a good race, can’t wait for the next one. :)

Sven, I think they have, even the SR downs possibly. A guy tried to dive in on my inside at one point and went in to hot and hit the brakes as he passed me, causing me to punt him off the track as he ended up right in my path and I got no penalty or Sr down for it. I was shocked. But another guy hit me off track at one point and he got a 3 second penalty for it. I also got a 3 second penalty later on for accidentally bumping another guy off track too.

Every other week would be great. I need to recover some sleep in between

It would be nice if we had 4 or 5 lap races, every hour, for a week on N24. 5 laps would be perfect with one pit. Or perhaps have an endurance day thrown in to shake things up a bit. Friday is usually the cleanest day, make it one hour slots for daily C on Fridays. And perhaps 3 x 2 hour 24 player endurance races on Sunday night for the final 6 hours :) 10 times the price money to make it worth it.

It’s not shame. I play the game from cockpit with wheel. Having a line drawn on the track or cones out is like paint by numbers for me. I’m not out to get as fast as possible as quick as possible and beat as many as possible. I enjoy the fun the game provides...Different strokes...
No machismo, just enjoyment.

I hear ya, but as I have pointed out plenty of times, cones are a common sight at track days or amateur events, and we aren't pros. Driving line? sure, I never use that either. I'm not sure how useful it is. The markers are in the middle. I've seen plenty of fast guys use them so I turned them on and they work great for giving your eyes the reference point of where you should be looking, and you will go to where you are looking.

Still very clean this morning. So far I got 3 races in, 5th, 4th and 2nd place finish with fastest laps. One clean race bonus, for the race where there was contact... I don't understand that bonus at all anymore. Races where I'm sure I've never left the track not any car contacting me, no bonus. Races where I get bumped off or have some side contact, clean race bonus...

I got my Vette lap time down into the 8:23 laps. Almost fast enough for a win from the back, just not quite. @Voodoovaj showed up 👍

It's dark and raining outside, kids are at the grandparents, great day for racing.

I honestly thought I'd be seeing more RCZ's this morning. That car is SO nice around there and the mileage is fantastic.

I even bought a fourth one and made a livery based on their 2019 Dakar buggy.

I agree, I use the blue markers all the time, they can’t get knocked over like cones and you can see them over traffic easily. I use the cones sometimes too, mostly for practice now though. I use my own braking points but using the cones in practice helps to find them faster on a new combo. :)

Also, got my B time down to 46.6 on my Alt account. :)

I love when everything lines up for some draft passing. It almost went wrong, from 12th to 8th thanks to the straights.

I got bumped and spun at the start of the race to find myself all the way behind the field at the start of the Nord section. However people were dopping like flies, it's a messy afternoon. Fastest lap again :)

That green RCZ in front you is GORGEOUS :D

Yep, and I don't necessarily stop at the double cones every time, but they are a great reference point

That almost got ugly after the first two overtakes :scared: Risky move. Nice job regardless, what were you driving?

Corvette C7. It only gets out dragged by the McLaren. You can't pass those on the straight unless they're fuel saving.

The penalty system still works against me lol. 4 sec one race, 5 sec the next. The car forcing his nose in and bump passing me gets nothing. I return the favor, 5 sec penalty. Reap what you sow and all that. However if your DR is higher, you get punished!

I guess I should pay more attention to what DR gets what penalties. That last driver was DR.B while I'm currently DR.A. Perhaps that's why he got away with it while I got the maximum penalty. I'll just wait for them to drive themselves off, penalty test over.

Next race, starting 8/19 with no Q time lol, this could get interesting.

Edit: Finished second, was in 4th when the top 3 pitted at the end of lap one, I had lead up until the second right going up the hill on the Nord where a one stopping McLaren caught me, but passed nicely on the first carrousel, nice move by him. He ended up winning, but it wasn’t a good race other my my fuel mishap again, I thought I was only FM2 until about mid 1st lap so I ended up having to conserve more at the end than I was originally planning to. Oh well, it’s a learning process.

@Pigems What SR are you racing in? I haven't seen anyone pit in the top 10 today. Last room had 4 A+ in it and one DR.C with the same pace, suspicious!

I started the last two races at 45, at 58 now after the second race, had a white B after the first one though. Pole sitter last race was 18.x and 2nd was 24.x, no A’s or above in site.

Edit: 3/4 of the replay is uploading now, I didn’t catch it in time to get the whole thing. :)

Indeed that sounsd suspicious....

Two a races for me so far and both were great. Hard but clean competition. I actually just finished cussin myself out cuse i forgot to save the replay from the second race, probably the best race of the week...

The next race was another great one. Same two guys as last time, hard but clean fight to the finish. I can not believe my luck lately, Saturday afternoon even.... keep getting pole for some reason ;) but have been finishing 2 and 3. Not so good under extremem pressure :scared::lol:

I didn't try the BMW so I don't know how well it short shifts or whether its fuel efficient. There's several choices I and others can attest to like the Corvette, 4c, Supra and the Ford GT. All can get there with enough fuel and without sacrificing much speed.

There's speed compromise but it's not major enough to favour pitting instead. If you're annoying people behind you, maybe they're driving flat out and going to pit. I'd let them pass so you can wave at them in the pits. Finding a draft can also help balance your speed.

They are allowed to pass if they can make a clean move, i do not make blocking moves and try to ram anyone of the track, when we came to the straight i moved to the left. But Nurburg is very hard to pass on, even if you are faster, and going slower and making it hard to pass is a valid tactic.

Yeah I’m no good with fuel savings, and it doesn’t help that I only have 2 cars on this profile I can use in this race, the AMG and the Lancer.

That last race was a bumpy ride, only made it to 10th by the end, lots of accidental bumps and people hitting their brakes waaay early in places, and braking in places where you don’t normally brake. Red B to end that one.

Trying Race B next. :)

I think both the AMG with its big V8 and the Lancer with its big turbo have good mid range power for short shifting in FM1.
I haven't tried any of them though so I don't want to recommend it.

I haven’t been able to make it through yet without having to go to FM6 for somewhere around half of the 2nd lap in the AMG. Haven’t tried the Lancer yet. How short should I be shifting? I’ve been shifting at half to 3/4 of the red RPM Bar.

I forgot I had set a Q time for race B on this account, and I got reset after the last Nordy race apparently, started this race at C-D. Pretty boring 3 star Dub, cleared 2nd by 15 seconds or so. Back to the Nord! I’ll try FM3 the whole way this time instead of starting on FM2 for the first lap. :)

Edit: Apparently I also have a 458 Italia as well, are they any good?

Good on fuel, haven't seen one on the track yet
458 eats tires all day.

Oh just saw 2, didn't see them very long ;)

Note to self, don’t use the Ferrari lol. Thanks @Sven Jurgens

Finished 2nd in that race, despite a punt from a guy in the final corner, I slowed to kill my penalty and he just kept going lol. It wasn’t a bad race overall, few bumps here and there.

I shifted that time as soon as I saw red bar light up as much as I could and I had much better time with fuel in that race, that seems to be the trick with this car. :)

After another good race in the mini i went to the dragon again. Like I've said before, i am a sucker for punishment. Got my time down a couple tenths to a 48.4xx but got an optimal of 47.9xx i was actuallly messing up the bus stop less, still to much to try and race. Even if i am not pushing it sometimes, i still eat the wall. Might try to get some more races in after i eat something....

Your fuel level when the video started made me anxious

It sure is, as are the other two in that picture you posted.

Have you made any liveries for the 4C? I'd kill for a HQ Martini or Alitalia replica.
The Larini 155 DTM replica I have is OK I guess but it looks a bit too busy on the 4C.

Oh yes. I have some Martini Alfa's in my gallery, but I'm still not SUPER jazzed about how they turned out. In any event, feel free.

There's TONS to sort through. It's kind of a creative outlet for me.

@Pigems On the question of the cars to use on Race B, I found the the NSX is ok, but I find it slips and slides around like it's on SS tires. I had the same problem with the 650. The Huracan and Ferrari are a no go. They might be ok for a lap, but they aren't competitive for an entire race.

The SLS is pretty good. I've seen a few people maintain good pace while conserving.

I still think the RCZ and Alfa are the best. I think they are the best at carrying speed around the corners.

Thanks for the info, I’m back up to 200k already so I’ll try either the RCZ or Alfa next, which is better on fuel?

Edit: Starting 14/18 in the Vette in the next race. Heeeere we goo! :D

It might be time for a break soon. Last race had 2 Argentinians over driving and hitting people left and right. One took me out in lap 1, the other the car I was having a good race with lap 2. I narrowly avoided the two but had lost my concentration anyway and messed up the turn onto the straight. At least the guy I was having a good race with got his position back and the Argentinian fell back to serve penalties.

Things are heating up on the ring. I'm not starting last once, several times per race now  That first section of the Nord is killer.
