Thanks for the info, I’m back up to 200k already so I’ll try either the RCZ or Alfa next, which is better on fuel?

Edit: Starting 14/18 in the Vette in the next race. Heeeere we goo! :D

It's a bit of a toss up. I believe the RCZ is a bit better on it's fuel at Nurb even if it might not have better mileage overall. They can both take corners a gear higher than most other cars, which helps.

Crap I’m on hard tires lol

I forgot that I turned ABS off last night. I was surprised at my first race this morning. :D

@Voodoovaj That would have been some surprise eh!!

Good to know about the cars, TYVM! :)

17:37 on Hards, not bad lol. Finished 4th with .1 fuel remaining, I ran FM2 most of the race shifting soon as I saw any red, but I still had to go down to FM6 for the final straight because just before it I realized I only had .2 left haha. I think I like the AMG better then the Vette, it’s more sturdy/stable, but I guess I was on hard tires too. I’ll try it on mediums before moving onto another car. :)

Edit: Next race about to start, Mediums on the Vette this time, FM3 for lap 1, FM2 for lap 2 and FM1 for the final straight is the plan. We’ll see how it goes. Starting 15/17 this time, 22.6 on Pole. :)

4C is purchased for the next race after this one.

Edit 2: Corvette on mediums for the Dub!! :D

Wait until you see this ending, it was classic. Guy bashes by me, then tries to kill his penalties at the end and as I try to get around him he tries to hit me, I go right through him and he end up going into the pits! Hahaha

It was pretty chippy at Race A last night and today. Survived a few. Last one today I got intentionally knocked out. I don't want to go back to that and ruin a gook week.

Finally broke 1:06. Started 3rd. Had fastest lap. Then got pushed off the track. Reanimated 2nd last 10 seconds behind. Sucked.

Sportsmanship on the weekend and weekday are noticeably different.

@Pigems Get yer SR up and come race in the real destruction derby!

I'm taking a break for a bit, ruthless racing atm. It seems people are catching on to the more lenient penalties already. It also seems shortcut penalties now max out at 0.500 sec. I got that very suspicious round number a couple of times while avoiding people by way of grass.

I’m trying to, Blue B at the end of that Race, no thanks to this guy, he had 5.3 before hitting me off and he drove off with 8.5 to burn off at the end after hitting me off. It was a great race otherwise, maybe you should come down here.

I’ve got that .500 once or twice too, it is rather odd, I was thinking the same thing.

They are allowed to pass if they can make a clean move, i do not make blocking moves and try to ram anyone of the track, when we came to the straight i moved to the left. But Nurburg is very hard to pass on, even if you are faster, and going slower and making it hard to pass is a valid tactic.

The choice is yours and how you prefer to handle the situation. I said what I'd do with a safe approach in mind.

I hate to have someone close to my butt on this track. To me it's like being at a knife's edge of a potential collision or accident which could up losing us both places. If I know they're faster, I give them room to pass while I hope to pass them in the pits later.

Everyone I got today was 0.5 seconds as well. Haven't tested if it is still that on any shortcut.

Missed the 9pm race, so I did a couple hot laps and got my time down to 8:20.5, I had over a second on that the next lap but I blew it, I know I can get a sub 20 lap, hopefully tomorrow. 10 minutes until the next race. :)

Edit: Starting 15/19 next race, right behind @Rexracer702

Edit 2: Finished 4th in that race, had 2nd but penalties did me in in the end, people try to pass in the worst places. I believe @Rexracer702 finished right behind me. :)

It's only 8:30 pm! I missed the 8:30pm race as my kids blew up my wifi again. Streaming little monsters. My ps4 pro reported 33.8kbps download speed before not being able to connect at all anymore. Time to stick em in bed and reboot the useless modem and extender again. I wonder if my wife would mind a cable running from the basement, over the stairs, through the hallway, through the living room to the ps4 pro

That was you?! That was my best race tonight. I think I'm done tonight. I'm tired of 1 stoppers coming up behind me, half way through the second lap, and just because they have more tire than I do, they hit my bumper in the tight stuff and fly by as I struggle not to end up backwards. Finished 6th in one race, but still got fastest lap. My best race lap so far at 8:37. Called out in chat as a crap driver by a guy that did a one stop and bumped his way by me. Wanna bet he was the cause of the yellow flag a minute after that?
I set a qualifying lap for C before I shut it down for the night. 8:29 was my first lap. Did some off roading in that lap, started 3 or 4 more but blew it in the first 3 or 4 minutes pushing too hard, and reset. After that I decided to take a break.
I think I'll run some laps in the morning, and if I can put down a fast, clean lap, I'll race.

I'm already having doubts about the penalty zones. Just incurred another penalty from someone crashing into my back in traffic. Getting forcibly slowed down for the mistakes of others is going to be seriously off putting. Clean streak reset, again.

Racing has cleaned up a bit now it's later at night. Some things are still the same. While waiting for a safe moment to pass, the drafter behind you simply runs into you. Usually it's just SR Down, now and then 3 sec penalty cause they go off after hitting you. I expect the "penalty system is still 🤬" thread to get more attention again when these slow downs start happening for incorrect penalties.

Next race coming up, restarting the clean streak.

Btw it's 🤬 snowing again :banghead:

People must be getting drunk, it's getting dirtier every race. SR down to 83, perhaps I get a break from these clowns. Perhaps not, it's already late enough to increase SR ranges :/ Last race had a driver with over 15 sec of penalties driving like a battering ram. Plus I got punted into the wall at the final turn, by a B/S driver, who did not get a penalty for that...

Good new group, let's see how drunk these drivers are...

I was in first, got rammed off at the final approach. He did get a penalty this time but could scrub it and get the win. He dropped to SR.B. Dirty still wins.

Another victory robbed by a dirty driver. That's 4 today. Penalty zones won't help as it's ram from behind go off and you get a penalty. Enjoy the track, report the players. Down to SR.A

Guess what, he's driving a GT-R (hate that car) and enjoys twice weekly DR resets.

Will the penalty zones help to stop these kind of people?

Yeah, that was me on my Alt account. We had a good run going there for a bit too but I think you caught a banana peel at one point, then I did too later on lol, I thought you finished right behind me but I wasn’t 100% sure. it wasn’t a bad race overall. :)

Nice lap man!! You gonna be out racing again today?

Never got back to it last night as we had a friends 40th birthday to attend, i was in no shape to race after that. Have my coffee in the cup holder of my viper at the ring right now, but just crusin really. Gotta go to oshawa and back for a lunch with my great aunt who is turning 98, so i wont be on much today. Perhaps this evening aftdr i get back depending on how tired i am....

That's why a like the idea of a repechage race. Filled with drivers who all have not behaved. And who must complete the repechage without a penalty in order to join the real races again.

I missed the next race by 3 seconds, so I made this I while waiting for the next one. :)

I see you've gone back to black and yellow ;).

Yesterday was a good day. I mashed, sparged, boiled and chilled (@Dairyworker knows what I'm talking about :sly:). I really didn't want to ruin a good day by racing, but against my better judgement, I did Race B a couple of times. After the crap that went on in the two Race Cs I did earlier on in the week, all motivation to run my favourite track evaporated :odd:.

I went in with the 4C. Couldn't beat my Viper time, so that's the time I was stuck with. First race up, P11/15. The first 8 positions were DR/B sheep (every one of them using a TT). The rest were DR/D. SR a mix of A and B.

The race was a learning experience. I'm pretty sure that even in reverse the bus stop can be taken foot to the floor, but I just didn't feel comfortable doing that :nervous:. The Gr4 4C isn't the fastest thing out there, but it is fairly nimble. I found myself taking the downhill esses flat out just by going from blue tear drop to blue tear drop. I gained a fair bit doing that. Freakin Huracan drivers... if there is one in the line up, it will find me. For some reason the mentality seems to be that because it's shaped like one of those wedges you use to split logs, that's how you use it on the track :banghead:. The one Huracan in that race decided to dive into the last corner, despite the fact there were already two cars side by side going through there. I was in the middle, and I was either going to either get hit by the Huracan or hit the Cayman on the out side. I couldn't tighten up because of the Huracan, so the Porsche ended up on the grass :scared:. Next lap I was side by side on T1 with the same Porsche, and I managed to have enough control with the 4C to hug the inside and not drift out to where I wanted to be. That gave the Cayman better drive to the bus stop. I finished P12 with my preferred racing number on the side. SR blue. Gained 3 SR and lost a couple of hundred DR.. now into triple digits.

Next race saw me start P8/15 on a mix of DR/A-D.

Don't remember too much, other than being pushed off the track by yet *another* Huracan :banghead:. Finished P10. Gained another 2 SR. DR actually went up .. about 40. Another day above DR 1 .

I've ventured into that race (B) about 4 times the last day or two, and every time gained places (best was 4, from about 13th to 8/9th?) and have never got a single DR point. Sheesh, what's a guy need to do to get a point!?? My SR went down from 99 to 83 - my plan was to drop to a C but I had a rethink as racing with SR S and A is pretty civilised, but looks like I'll be on DR 1 for ever!

The seaside should be a nice place to be but it still sounds like a scary one to be. I'm not sure if I'll go back there today after my early week of nightmares.

People must be getting drunk, it's getting dirtier every race.

It might also be sleep deprived people. I've raced late at night on a few occasions and did silly things like slowing down on the lap before last because I thought it was the final, driving while being stuck in the same gear and completely missing braking points.

Hang in there. I spent quite a while on DR 1. The way things are going, I'll be back there soon . You don't gain points based on how many people you have passed but rather, where you finish. If the rest of the grid if all the same DR as you, you need to finish in the top half to gain any points. If there are a lot of people in a higher DR than you then you can gain points finishing one or two cars lower down, if you beat one of the higher level drivers.

I'm finding it quite hard to gain any DR, since I race in SR S rooms most of the time, and I'm just not as fast. Rather be clean though. Got a clean race last night before bed, 8th place. Been doing race B this week, as A is slow and C I am terrible. Not that I'm much good at the B race, but its fun.

Anyone elses room entry blurb snarky like mine? It says 'Sorry I don't have more DR for your ego' :)

Looks like you're from the same region as me 👍. The rooms seem to be first sorted by SR.... everyone is S or A. But for DR it can go from S to D in the same race, and usually does. I am probably gaining on the other D drivers (I never take too much notice) but whatever, I feel like I'm putting in the effort, often beating my qually time, but getting zero back for it. Still, it's only a game and still good fun!

I dunno about you guys, but I'm pretty excited for the upcoming daily races this week. I love DT Gardens, Maggiore GP II AND Suzuka (although Suzuka is getting pretty old). I'm assuming Race C will be the Super Formulas, and I always enjoy the high power/downforce cars. Hoping Race A is a decent car too.
