The Mercedes Amg gr3 turned out to perform pretty good fuel wise with short shifting..

Just a shame I forgot to change to medium tires ☹️

Oh shoot, the tyres.. That explains the times people had in my race :lol:

I just can't get used to checking if anything other than s/h is allowed.

No sweat. If you had been in that last race, I might not have....Got the win! 17:22.0 race time,reeled in the leader to a 3 second gap, then got into the grass about half way through the lap and the gap was 12 seconds, saw yellow flags and caught him right before the 2nd carousel. I knew from other races that he was dirty so I hung back and followed him onto the straight, backed off then hit it about half way up the hill. Got a good run, swung out, and he blocked. Bumped him twice trying to get by, finally got a nose next to him and he tried to force me off. I hit back. He hit me again, and it must have killed some speed because I got clear. Went into the final esses a bit hot and ran through the grass with 2 tires, but he hit the wall with the attempted punt, so the damage to my drive wasn't fatal. Up 11 positions, but he got the fast lap(from pole). I think I'll try to get a good lap on the boards...I'll settle for any lap where I don't go off. I figure at would have to be mid 20's at least. Then maybe I'll try again from further up the grid.

For the SF19 races, wish qualifying would reset each day. Rather than stay for the whole week. Or wish we could delete our set time. Maybe I want to qualify on day and start at the back the next.

It's not about me wanting to try and set a faster time, which I could try to do as is. It's more a mental reset with a "blank sheet".

I will be. I have a slow Q lap now, which I want to improve. Are you still racing from the back today? both my accounts are SR-C right now. I'm at 39 points on my main one, 29 on my alt. I gotta run some errands but will be on after noon (EST). If we can hook up, I can always buy the Vette on my alt and run from the back there. Right now I only have 3 race cars on that account. If I can get close to your Q time, and your SR isnt perfect, I can probably run some A races and get up to B or A so we get matched up near the front. It would be nice to get a clean podium...though my chances at a win against you, on this track, are probably slim. But hey, there are always those bananna peels.:lol:

My and account had no money, so I did the BB oval fast like an oval race track in top race area, driving the KTm (with a GTPlanet from someone setup with my own gearing because I like top gear and 5th as close as they can be for that track). I raced for one hour, and had good races being disciplined against the computer cars ... 12 minutes a race plus under a minute for the delay before the next race ... I won 375,000 a race (due to the bonuses if you get a clean are plus the car bonus ... typically I caught the lead car by lap 9 (of the 15). I must have spend a bit over an hour because 5 x 375,000 = 1,875,000.

Only problem was I did this during the software upgrade ... when everything rebooted, I was still broke!

But its an easy way to win some money. You score a GR3 car every 16 minutes.
 
Bah, got disconnect from the 11:30 pm race. So instead I drove alone for 2 laps and set a 8:14.137 quali time.

Better late than never :)

The physics are so different during qualifying. The car felt on rails after all those races and I had to keep reminding myself not to short shift. I didn't bother going to lower gears in some corners, don't want to screw up my rhythm completely for the last couple races. Now I'm probably going to go wide and run out of fuel :lol: My best lap in race was a 8:23. 8 sec faster while driving the same...

Can't say as I need *another* Gr3 :rolleyes:. But I'm sure it's handy for people who have just started GTS. I find the idea of 12 mins lapping BB mindnumbingly tedious. For 8 odd mins I get 230,000 doing 3 laps of la Sarthe and no worrying about any clean bonus crap 👍.

Ha, I started in 3rd. I managed to get up to and pass the 8:10 fast guy on pole. Then somehow incurred a 1.5 sec 'shortcut' penalty :banghead: Yet I still got the clean race bonus, go figure. I crossed the line first, dropped to third thanks to the rounding to 2 sec. I didn't bother to scrub.

I barely made it on fuel, yet grip was better than I expected. I guess it helps the tires not getting punted off in the first section :lol:

Damn he does not like to lose. Second match, same player. He swerves like a mad man on the straight. I pass him at T1 after, don't get a shortcut penalty this time and the bumping ensues. I got hit so hard at one point I can feel the whiplash. I got frazzled from all the SR Downs, went wide, he passed, good, I'll follow, much safer. Then he intentionally slows down to let me pass before the final straight so he can draft pass. Oh well, you can have it. Neutral SR from all the bumps, he blamed it on lag.

Ability goes up towards the top, sportmanship goes down.

Finally, I was hanging on the 499 wins for a while.

Great race against a M6. I was ahead yet checked my fuel at the wrong time and went wide a few corners before the final straight. He passed me and I figured I was done for as he had over 1 sec lead onto the straight. Then he ran out of fuel. I was running out as well. After I passed him up the hill I coasted to the final turns to have just enough juice left over to get back up to speed to the line and stay ahead of 3rd who was coming up fast.

Great way to end the week, but of course one more. I got up to 47K DR without qualifying, now 38 points shy of 49K. A+ is probably out of reach this time. Qualified too late, competition will be shrinking any moment now. Earlier this evening there were 5 A+ in the room, most A and some B. Currently it's mostly B again A up front.

Nice, another victory. Same opponent, he messed up at the entry of the Nord. I led the rest of the race anxiously looking at my fuel. It's a lot more tight when you have no one to draft. I still managed a 8:26 lap and had 1% left over. 16:53.494 race time. Earlier there was an alien finishing in 16:35 :bowdown:

Just made it! A second place finish in the 2 am race put me over the line.

Had a good race yesterday on the ring until I passed for the lead going into the Mutkurve on lap 2. Had a very narrow entry so I had to brake then got immediately rear ended and pushed off the road. Quite frustrating.

What's the new daily races?

After starting and and finishing 16th at N24, I realized that that's the last time I was coming to that and the last time I had entered and daily race that week..
 
The Suzuka GP.X one make. I guess that is the Super Formula right? And it shouldnt matter if you own the Honda or Toyota?

I was not happy when I found out that you need the Honda version. I have the Toyota version, as well. Welp, there goes 1m credits that I was saving towards the Ferrari...
 
Yeah race C truely is a Honda one make. So I purchased the wrong one.....

Ah well, I'll buy the Honda as I've been looking forward to racing in the SF. And it is a grid start too so that's going to be interesting!
