ok, I had those mixed in my mind then. Yes, I had BB+2 then.+ is for rear - is front.
So plus +4 is heavy rear bias![]()
Thankfully the track limits should be normal...unlike the mess that is Championship track limits (ANYTHING outside the white line is a guaranteed penalty).I raced last time in Catalunya in the Manufacturer series and it was nearly impossible to complete a fast lap without penalties.
Even worst when you had to deal with other drivers. Since someone already raced this morning, is it the same in the daily race?
And by the way, while I agree on putting the penalty zone in the daily races as well, in some tracks the zone is positioned in a way that makes you lose way more than the actual penalty...
Race A will be ruined as soon as people put ASM on
How come? I don't use it and don't miss it, didn't think it had much effect.
Are you the one I overtook at the hairpin ? Undercut with an outside/inside line ? I am not so good at recognizing people and remembering the different names from those on the forum@Gersicer
We battled some today. I was orange and grey. I think we had a little back and forth there between two races...
Nice racing with you. I thought I recognized the handle, but wasn’t sure. I know the first race was a mess, but the second was pretty fun. You may have been behind me as I was running wide at Degner, and raced well and clean when overtaking me also. It was fun.
If I had time I would have stayed on for more action, but it just hasn’t been workin out for me timewise lately.
That first one was a dirty mess overall. I got taken out exiting esses and I think @Sven Jurgens got punted in the hairpin.
@Sven Jurgens if you get bored and have the replay check out my masterful PIT at 130 r midrace. I was the car behind the moron that punted you after getting taken out earlier...I saw red and a green flag shoved me spoon exit. I made him pay...
That race was rough. I eliminated one jerk though and stayed 99.
I wonder also, if people reading about fast drivers doing no qual not might be out for blood when it’s obvious that there’s no qual and the drivers is fast.
Maybe no qual incites folks? Sorry to hear you’ve been having a hard time of late.
That’s why I qual, at least, even if I’m not up front I figure I get to start ahead of some of the problem folks. I saw a few folks towards the end of the field with times reflecting a lack of ability for sure. I’m glad I started ahead of them.
If you don't gain positions it does. Depends on your rank and your opponents rank just how many you'd need to gain.
It might not be the Scirocco, but it's still a FWD VolkswagenRace A is the Audi TT.
Race C is the Toyota 86.
Bit disappointed with both car choices but at least it's not the Scirocco again 👍
So is it better to post a Q lap time than not? if so there goes plan A for this week.....![]()
Happy Monday Everybody!
I started with the TT this morning because it’s usually one of my better cars, and tracks, though I’d prefer LMW forward. I’ve got it down to a 1:29.0 so far though, I think I’m slowing down way to much for the hairpin, plus T1 and the 3rd last turn up the hill still have a fair bit of time left in them as well.
Excellent Lap @Mistah_MCA !!![]()
Depends on if you care about your ratings. It is much easier to gain DR if you have a fast qualifying time and start near the front, as opposed to starting at the back every race. Finishing 5th from starting 2nd will give you the same amount of DR as finishing 5th from starting last (if the opponents finished in the exact same order), how much you get depends on who you beat and who beat you. It's all explained in a thread somewhere.
These videos that you and others put up are really helpful for L Drivers like me. Together with the excellent Circuit Experience videos, they have much to teach. Pity the Circuit Experience doesn't cover all the tracks or variants, and that's where these "fast lap" videos come in.
It would be great to have a thread for them.... hint.... hint....👍
I’m glad they help man, that’s exactly why I share them.
I wish you could do CE for all variants as well, also being able to do them with each class of car would be nice too.![]()
The way I understand it, you basically need to finish higher than your car number. The number the game assigns you for each race is based on where your DR ranks in comparison with everyone else.Thank you, I'll find the thread because I don't understand it!! It's not so much I care about ratings (except better ones should get you into less-dirty rooms!) but I would like to see some progress..... having more than 1 DR point for more than 1 day will be progress for me!
Interesting you can get DR for a worse finish than start (at the front end)..... I did race B a while ago, gained 3 places (Yay!) but got zero DR. It's disheartening. Oh... there's no "crying" emoji![]()

For example, if you're car #5, then you have the 5th highest DR in the room (assuming SR's are similar- if you're in a room with different SR's, they use some combination of DR and SR to determine all of that somehow). You then need to finish better than 5th to see a boost in DR. Exactly how much DR you gain or lose also depends on how tough the competition is, i.e. if the number 1 player only has a few hundred more DR than you, you won't gain as much by winning the race as if the number 1 player had a few thousand more DR than you. This is all based on observation (both mine and others on this forum) since PD doesn't give any details about this sort of thing.

Just tried the 86 at Fuji, I had it down to a 2:08.XX until I watched the top time, after seeing how they ran it I got it down to a 2:06.8, there’s still more there to be had, I’m just not loving this combo, it’s been repeated too many times now.
It could be worst Sambabus at Route X![]()
