It was a fluke. Down to SR.C now. Thanks to this:

5 sec penalty for someone not braking way back. SR 39 now, 5 sec penalties hurt. There was the usual SR Down bumping from behind as well. And a new one. I got taken out by a car reset. Clunk sound and send into the wall.

The penalties aren't even depending on the penalty zone you have to serve them in. The first one is the worst and turns a 3 sec penalty into 5 sec lost. The last loses you less than the penalty is worth depending on how big the penalty is. The middle one is good for small penalties.

34 SR left. Trying the McLaren next. No not the clown version, the 650S.

This was quite a tasty little battle for the win, I've cut off the start of the race and the end because nothing really happened.

I've left in a hot lap too since it felt pretty quick.

That one was a mega bumper car fest, I couldn’t get away from the group of them in the first lap, oh well, two can play that game.

That 650S is geared all wrong for Sarthe. I have to gear down a lot more than in the Vantage. It feels slow and still easily oversteers. I could not avoid the clown McLaren spinning out at the start on the chicane, thus starting with a nice 3 sec penalty and now down to 30 SR. Hopefully next race will be better. Starting last would be nice.

It feels strange racing in SR.C. I recognize none of the names, so weird!

Came back home, set a very enjoyable 1:26.2XX at Autopolis, got in a race, went max pace as if my name were Verstappen... Ran out of fuel on lap 12 while in 1st place.. Finished 8th.. Shouted about how much I hate this game and PD...

Raced again, tried short shifting and changing the fuel mixture mid race.. Didn't work.... Turned off my console and came here ready to write a 5 page rant about how much PD sucks with their stupid multiplied fuel consumption

Read @Pigems @MaxAttack comments.. Which saved the day....

Incident free, not by a long shot. I got rammed three times and left spun around at the final chicane while 6th place got his way despite receiving 5 sec penalties for his last 2 rams. Dirty still wins.

One more in the 650S, then the Ferarri

SR 37, +7 for that race. I'm in SR boost territory now.

I got disconnected from the last race, had to pause since the TV was complaining it couldn't record more of what my wife had scheduled. Timed out while cleaning up the hdd of the tv doh.

So, I did another race in the 650S, hoping for a clear lap to actually see what time I can get with it, no go. Always a McLaren F1 to ruin the fun. SR 28 currently, on to the Ferrari.

For race B at Interlagos the top time was a Japanese guy call something like LewisHamilton, with the old sub 1:37 time ie a 1:368.5. 5th fastest was something like 1:37.18 - Lewis_Hamilton or something close to Lewis Hamilton. Clearly two accounts there.

One of the problems with loosing points is that you may have an A license and the field might have some As, some Bs, and some Cs. But the qualifying might have a C 2nd, a B 4th, 5th and 6th. But the C wins the race, and B comes third etc. Those have to be secondary accounts, or the players have been re-set. It's a bummer when you get beaten by faster drivers who muck around and also down ground your DR because they have a lower grading than your's while their main account might be a high A+. I also reckon some don't behave as well as they would drive if they are forced to have just the one account. Logically PD therefor encourages multiple accounts.

PD likely enjoys dual accounts because it makes the game appear to be more popular.

The solution might be to have accounts tied to internet addresses ie IP numbers. I don't know how else to restrict the number of accounts a player might use.

I must say though my main account has not been re-set. But my secondary account was, and I was almost re-set again this week. I realised though that it was better to loose some DR - day 2000 DR - and save 16,000 by avoiding being re-set. But if i had not have bothered and been happy to be re-set - then I'd have been more dangerous to others while racing.

Which is why I think GTS encourages bad driving. If one adds up the encouragement to over drive and hit people by various issues in the game, it seems clear to me that GTS sees crashing into other cars as a favourite part of the GTS on line racing experience. I really don't like it at all.

Red E in the Perzo, it’s damm fast though.

I keep getting hit with huge penalties for catching up to people to quickly heading into the first big straight, I back way off before it and still catch them on the exit before I can steer around them on lap one lol.

34 now, +6 while getting rammed off twice. The penalties went to the right car yet in no way compensate for being left in the sand. All the penalty system is good for is to send everyone down the SR ladder on race B and back up on race C.

The Ferarri feels easy to drive after the 650S.

Perhaps PD can add this car. Smaller target to hit.

It seems everyone already believes cars are only this wide in SR.C.

Maybe not, because I queried your score card when you posted it here (great stuff by the way) when your win placing screen it said "First Win". So I guess you've had a first win 17 times. But ... Kudos shows all those wins on your account, and all those races.

And when I started my second account, I used another email etc. etc. I had to watch the video too (how hypocritical is all that when PD mostly reward aggressive driving). But I could not race in races B or C until I had I think more experience. Is that the same for you? Because I think it knows you are actually experienced ... and your qualifying data etc etc

You know, there are not so many posters here ... why don't PD have a race "steward" for every country - a region such as is used for the Nations Cup (ie for Asia in my region it would be New Zealand and Australia), who provides an email address for contacting PD about racing issues, which would include check box remarks, loading videos for races, and text suggestions and complaints, and hence would give feedback to both PD and then back to the drivers who contacted the steward.

If we paid a higher subscription to race, maybe PD could afford a person to feedback. That would be a way to increase the quality of the game. Such feedback is a Japanese manufacturing principle too ... I will run some stats on how many actually play the game and how much it might cost us for a human being to provide a feedback loop to PD ...

Funny thing is I entered the game late last year and the game cost me I think $20 or maybe $30, for a new game. But I'd pay a fair bit in order to be able to get feedback from PD ... and they sure need it IMO.

Or another thing PD could do, is ask for volunteers to assist. Web sites do that with people. One might be asked after a decent number of games. People who have raced a lot know a lot. I don't think PD really know the racing market. After all they claim 7,000,000 have raced ... yet not many have done more than 20 races. That's really quite a failure. Maybe if the game was better, and had some stewards providing feedback to the players and to PD, more would continue to race more than the large minority who go on and race lots of times.

I just remembered why I have a problem with Circuit de la Sarthe. I was about .8 seconds ahead of my ghost, and after what seemed to be an appropiate turn, I was blessed with a penalty!

Haha. I got taken out by the laggy Puerto Rican (I think that's what that flag is from) He hit my rear outside panel cutting in too sharp while I was already on the kerb trying to be as skinny as possible. The Ferarri is too easy to pit manoever. Of course I get the penalty as he went off first while I was still trying to regain control of the car before meeting the back wall SR 30.

I’ll have to earn some cash tomorrow to buy some more cars, I’m not really sure what to get though. Any thoughts?

My Porsche RSR Fanatec wheel does not support the overtaking button ... I've tried all the buttons, and nothing works the overtaking button. I tried to program the standard Fanatec wheel's button which works my left toggle - it should have worked. But it did not.

Fanatec should have their wheels all supported by GTS.

I was going to buy a PS4 direct drive - but since my wheel is not supported, its not shown on the controller page - then I'm not buying something costly that doesn't work.

That’s really weird that you can’t map it like any other button, I wonder why? How is it any different than putting our headlight on that button?

Sell it all and get a T300GT and Ferrari Elcantara rim for half the price and all the support. 👍

Wish I could jump into daily races like I used to. Ever since I started tryharding the nations cup I've been very afraid of sr loss. I'll jump into a race c once in a while but that's it. Not touching the shorter races. At least on c is virtually impossible to lose sr lol.
