Raced once in C and got knocked off track three times by the same person that was lagging all over the place. Passing one of these people is far more dangerous than driving at bar closing time in your average metropolis. Started 10th, finished 13th, lost 500 DR.

does anyone know what time is best for the fia races to get the strongest field is?

Usually 6pm UK time for the strongest Nations Cup race, and the manufacturer race afterwards at 7.10. Other races have a few less S drivers but avoid the last timeslot as apparently it's pretty weak.

I was like what to do in quali. People are pitting. Put up a bad first lap and went to pits to change tyres but time ran out before i could complete the lap. Started 18th and was last by 4th lap,by then all motivation had gone and i just strolled through the circuit.

Suzuka was again bad as i i just didn't put a good quali time. Finished last there as well.

Pathetic day.

It's called astro-turf and it's realistic. It is easy enough to get used to avoiding accelerating when you are touching it.

Oh, is that what that's supposed to be? It looks like they left in a PS2 texture. Incredibly ugly.

Hell yeah, I'm here. I usualy don't race with other french guys as they are too proud and not very fair for most of them. So I decided to race here on GTP since 2011

I binned my car twice with a +5 seconds lead resulting in not winning today, not very smart

Weird thing , i didnt lose any SR or DR after this , must have been lucky

Just finished my first race for the night. Bathurst, which is ironic, since I had just been watching the 12h. I swear the track looks 1/3 wider on tv than it does in the game!

I came to the party late, so only had enough time for nearly 2 laps qualifying. All quiet at the back of the bus. I managed to make up a few places. Lots of carnage ahead of me, and there seemed to be weird crashes for no apparent reason, like a car would suddenly veer off and into a wall. I was digging the race, just wish it was more laps. I was having a lot of fun pretending to be the White Comet of Akagi .

Yes, I know...it's not an FC .

Same thing here, I did 4 races in the morning qualifying 3rd, two of them finished 2nd and two 3rd, on race five qualify 6th and got smashed all race long, 9th position at the end and last race for me for today.

You'll lose the SR/DR after the race is over for the other people in the lobby.

Today I posted my absolute daily distance record, 507km!

Only in two cars, Nissan Skyline R32 and Subaru WRX RC.

Nations Cup was ok, i got some and made some hits, but nothing intentional.
I'm really sorry for hitting GB guy, did everything to miss him and then lost couple positions when waiting to let him ahead again - not many would do that, I think.
But it's has to be done.

I haven't actually tried the FIA races. Is being DR B / SR S acceptable to join these races or is it only for the hardcore PC sim guys who have SS ranks?

That being said TS050 is awesome.

I liked it, the gearing is kind of bad for Interlagos though. 1:20.1 in it so far, there is still lots left in it.

I did the daily A twice, not bad, however I get better sense of speed from pushing a shopping trolly. 10 seconds to overtake on the straight, could have a whole discussion while passing.

GR.1 is better, and quite clean so far on Interlagos. It is however very popular with Brazilians which means a lot of lag. Swerve blocking with 3 bar yellow connections is pretty annoying. Most of the race the lag isn't too disruptive, although I didn't know standing starts were a thing now

Haha, you kept me honest for the entire 15 laps. It feels like there was only 2 seconds between the two of us for the entire race, it was tense. I took a break after that race.

I think it would´nt do so... "dilute the player base" ... many players refuse to play certain types o race.. like for example GT1 on Tokio´s Express or Mount Panorama... for example...(who woud´nt??) and with a larger number of racing options and challenges, I´m very sure that the number of online players would raise considerably!

Hey, if they want more players, maybe stop kicking people off right when matching begins. 3 times I entered quals and just as time counts down to 0 to begin matching, ERROR. Whole thing has to reboot. Next race is 20 minutes away. Yeah right. Hey sony software engineers, how do you feel about your work? How much pride do you have in your product. At this point, if I was a software engineer for PD, I would be embarrassed to tell anyone what I did for a living. I'm done.

Damn, Inter lagos turned into a bump fest. Only one more race before the maintenance to recover 18 SR lost in the last one. Or drop into SR.A...

This internet issue is making me crazy!!!

It’s all about PD or Sony server problems and not our own internet.
It’s not only Brazilians with red or yellow bars, I see people from everywhere.

I play PC2 online with no issues with drivers from Europe and Asia. Never got lag or disconnected in DriveClub.
I play G.R. Wildlands also with no problems at all.
Only got some lag playing The Division when there were about 50 plus players from all around the world at the same time...

It’s getting very frustrating!!
My internet is fast, speed tests are good so this is not a connection problem...

Sunday morning (day 68) I was +54800, some races after I turned +55300... At lunch time I got disconnected 5 times after starting the race... went all the way down to 46000...
At night was able to finish te day with +48000.
Monday was ok, Yesterday was already with +49700 until my 3rd race at Interlagos, got disconnected on lap 7 with 5seconds ahead of 2nd player.
Went down to 47704...

Almost had a nervous brake down!
Didn’t turn the game on since then!

^ I always see you on with 1 red bar, however your car doesn't lag as bad as some with 3 yellow bars.

Every day I get disconnected at least once, about 1 in every 5 races on average. Sometimes I can get a long streak without issues, sometimes it's multiple races in a row and I just give up. I have cable internet, mostly 4 bars according to GTS, yet sometimes I also drop to 1 bar when entering a room. Then it goes up to two on race start and is green before the end of the first lap. My internet magically clears up when the race gets going...

And the amount of times I actually get a full room start is pretty low. 95% of the time at least one person drops while the track is loading. Very shoddy work.
