Spamming race on Daily Race B from evening to morning is surprisingly good, to be the truth I didn't think Daily B is quite clean since it "one-off" 4 laps short. But I only meet 1 person who always hitting other (I thought I meet lot more than that) in the end Daily B last 2 days is good for DR pump up.

I agree that defensive driving is fine, as long as it's done properly. Taking the inside line is generally what drivers do to defend and it will cost them speed on exit, so with good timing, taking a wide line and focusing on exit speed is one way to overcome it.

I've also seen very bad defensive driving that includes blocking/swerving on straights, taking the inside line to push people off the outside line, etc. Although I do my best to drive clean, I will be much more aggressive and I wouldn't blame others for taking bigger risks against drivers like that.
Yeah that wasn't the situation though, the poster just said he objected to someone defending from early in the race.

Agreed. It doesn't matter if it's the first, fifth or last. Clean defensive driving is good racing and it's never acceptable to divebomb just because they are slower. (I know it's not this situation, but just wanted to add it's not acceptable to defend when you are being lapped!)

Not bad, World Record Daily Race B. Managed to go 4 tenths quicker than the fastest time in Asia! :gtpflag:

The FIA races were a horror today, a holy horror. I qualified 3rd in the nations race and got rammed by the same guy 6 times before the first lap was over. By the time I got to the pits on lap 7 had been hit by various people at least 20 times. And these guys weren't faster than me, they just chose to drive like jerks. I said to heck with my ratings and quit. In the manufacturers race I qualified 3rd but had a 1.5 second penalty and would have been first. The two cars in front of me had an issue at the first turn ( Monza, of course ) and I got the lead. By lap 3 my lead was almost 10 seconds. I hit one of Kaz's Kones and got airborne, and even though I pulled to the side to let 2nd place by he rammed me off the track. After the 5th or 6th hit in the final 2 turns I quit. Of all the bad things about this game, kone launching and ratings drop when you quit ( or get disconnected ) are two of the worst.

When you find a decent group of racers, it just makes up for the bad races... I got lucky though! Not sure how I gave myself the Heimlich maneuver, but I somehow managed to stop choking midway through the race! ;)

Cheers

Had great fun at Lago Maggiore Gr.1 races tonight. No win but a podium at least. My quality was 1.41.686 in the Bugatti so that placed me between 2 - 5 depending on the race.
It was a fight between the Bugatti and the Porsche Hybrid in every race.
Pretty clean driving so that was nice.

I think for me its time to decrease my DR again. I tried to keep up in yesterdays Race C and the Nations Race with the Lancer. No Chance....

Dammit, disconnected at the waiting for players part, now I have to wait another half hour. Why does this still happen!

Matchmaking is giving me the toughest time on Brand's hatch today. Qualified for 17th to 19th place in full S/S A/S rooms. I can't keep up, just pass wrecks and let people overtake safely after getting back then watch them wipe out again. There are a lot of wrecks. I managed to finish 9th earlier, yet last race I was 14th after 16th to 20th quit and 15th was almost stopped at the finish... Great race according to the result screen. Participation award.

Quite the opposite from the GR.1 race. There I kept finishing in the top 5, yet those were S/S to D/S rooms. Brand's hatch is more fun though. GR.1 was pretty clean on Lago, the big spread in qualifying times kept everyone apart and the track is quite easy for GR.1 Still 1 race people could not behave.

Great driving and recovery end of the 2nd lap.

I'm really tired of these days where we have two races with road cars. They don't even use supercars for these one makes. Like I feel that PD puts these races in solely to please the GT people who didn't actually believe in the vision of GTS, so in that case they should just allow tuning and upgrades on these races like people want to.

And I like Gr.1 races, but they are stressful and require intense concentration in a way that Gr.3 and Gr.4 races do not, so it isn't the kind of thing I usually want to experience when I'm trying to relax at night.

Brand's hatch wasn't relaxing tonight either, I should have gone to bed two hours ago. Couldn't even keep it on the road for one whole race. Must be the controller!

I like the one makes with road cars

Daily Race A - One make Mazda RX7 at Bathurst Mount Panorama for 3laps
Daily Race B - One make Nissan R32 at Suzuka Circuit for 3laps (*Garage Car)
Daily Race C - Group 1 is now in Interlagos with x7fuel and x11tire wear for 15laps.

Which one more safer? R32 or GR.1? :indiff:

This happened to me twice yesterday at brands hatch, the first time a guy in p15 blocked the guy in p1 and sent him off track allowing me to win the race but ruining what was being a good battle. The second time I was leading the race by about 4 secs and p14 and 15 where trying to defend making me lose about 3secs, at the end I had to push wide p14 as he almost made me crash.

In my opinion this behavior is common between casual players that don't really know about racing etiquete or read forums like this one.

Did a couple of race B's last night.. First race I started 3rd.. Got slammed in the first corner and dropped 3->14. Managed to rise to 8th during the first lap and then again blatantly rammed in the first corner by a guy who didn't brake at all..Dropped to last again.. Finished 6th, two spots ahead the guy who rammed me.. Second race I started 10th and managed to finish 4th which was actually pretty nice.

Todays races are skippable (again).. Might be time to take a hiatus from GTS until it gets several new tracks. I hope Gravel doesnt suck :D

Some of us prefer road cars over the Gr1, Gr4 & Gr3 classes. I agree that PD needs to start using the higher N-Class cars for these one make race's. I'm Getting tired of them not going above the N-300 class.

I had something very strange today on Monza. Some guy had pole when I was starting 6th. After a mistake from his side he came in front of me in the first stint. I had no problem catching up with him.

After the pitstop he was not nearby so we both drove our race. But after the race I saw he had fastest lap. While I was thinking how he could have such quali time I thought how it was possible for him to have FL.

So I watched the replay and saw that in his FL he cutted the first chicane. He should have had a penalty for that. Still his time, 2 seconds faster then the others, was recorded as FL. I think he had done this in his qualifying as well, because during the replay not one time he could take the first chicane properly.

It is not the respawn glitch. He drove over the small piece of asphalt. In his second stint he did this in every round.
No one noticed this behavior? I've got a replay of you like. It seems very unfair to me, although I don't know the guy was doing it on purpose..

That's fine, but they need to add more races to the lineup. There should always be at least one Gr.3 or Gr.4 race in the daily lineup.

Why always? I get that you love these (and I like sports classes too, though I don't touch GR1 usually) but the races change every day, thee are three races and more than 3 classes, is it really wrong with there to be days when the daily races are not in your favourite classes? It was always the intention as I understood it that the game runs the gamut from road cars, supercars, multiple sports categories and even stupid v-cars. Why are N classes not part of the vision of the game, I just don't get it?

I agree that some supercar N class stuff would be nice though.

boom! clean sweep on Suzuka, pole, fastest lap and a win. nearly blew it on the last lap though when I was 7 seconds ahead I only finished .5 in front ha

You can turn the cones off, and quitting when you're losing is terrible sportsmanship so you absolutely should lose rating for doing so :S

I'm not trying to rain on anyone's one make parade, I just want more races per day so that everyone is happy, no matter which class of car they prefer.

For me, the Group races are the heart of GTS, but I admit that it may not be the sole focus for PD. I just want options, because for instance today my option is either to go do some time trials or play another game. And that's probably not what PD wants to hear, assuming they want to retain their online player base.
