Looking back on last night race B, it did improve as the evening wore on. I managed to squeeze in 22 races in my usual, no qualify or practice, just jump in. Of course at first, new track, big mess, yet over time it started to stabilize and people got more careful.
I managed a clean streak of 4 (although one of those was a race where I was the only one, everyone else got kicked while loading the track) and a couple more clean race bonuses. There were a few bad ones and I did get briefly kicked into SR.A during crash happy hour. Also one race I just let the penalties add up to see what would happen (at 55sec it starts the disqualification countdown) in another I tried serving the penalty in the pit (doesn't work) or besides the track (doesn't work, have to be on the tarmac)
At the end of the night it was very clean. Much less people to pass serving penalties and no more bumps from behind. People properly backing off when only their nose was level with the hind quarter of my car at corner entry instead of pushing through. I think it might actually work. I still traded some paint on Bluemoon in a close battle without any penalties. Side by side contact is still possible as long as there is no bumping.
Now I wonder if people will find a way to stay on the track at Monza. I'm usually one of the very few to end that race without any penalties. Since penalties don't simply burn off anymore that track is going to be very interesting
