What‘s your ID? I had like +20 races that day, won 7 or 8 late in the night. Was good fun :)
It was a good race*... you battled back to 4th by the last lap and nearly had me on the back straight before the fast left hander (just before chicane), but only got your bumper level with my boot before the corner came too close. Very nice of you to drop back as opposed to charging through the inside :)

EDIT: *Was a good race except for everyone bar a select lucky few being completely cleaned out by the laggy guy

Anyone finding the site reaaaaaaaally slow today?

It kind of cemented for me that allowing people to scrub off penalties is a bad game design decision as it just creates mayhem for others. Penalties should stick and be tallied at the end of the race.

I think it is better if the cars finish in the right order and not penalties being added at the end.
The way the slow down is done is not good however.
Maybe the game should just ghost the cars that are serving the penalty.
And if the game now expects you to serve the penalty immediately then why not automatically reduce the horse power to 50% or something.

Just a thought - Why not transfer remaining penalties to the next race and not count them against you in the current race (if you finish with penaltytime left). You serve them at the beginning of the next race as a ghost as long as there's people behind you. That, if anything, should make people more careful.

And to serve . yesterday I practically had to stop.. or even get to full stop!! Simply slowing down even on a straight din´t move the "counter".. :( And of course that the ghost option is a must.. other way would be to create an added command on the "slider" between map, power, brake equilibrium. & stuff, to serve the penalty that would put the car in that special mode and ghost him automatically tooo!

Race 1 you do Race C and are against a grid of some S and A drivers, so you cut corners like mad, win the race and get a massive DR boost. Race 2 you do Race A, so only a grid of 12 and luckily you are against a grid full of B. Lose the race but not much DR.

I think the point of the immediate penalty serve is to:

a) allow the person you bumped (or the person overtaken due to you cutting a corner) to immediately regain the position.
b) stop the pile ups on the finish line of people burning off accumulations from a whole race.

Obviously, overall it is meant to be a deterrent of getting penalties in the first place.......

Had some great and fair races today on Yamagiwa, if there wouldn't have been this crappy SR system that ruined all of my races in the end. :indiff:

In 3 races, I only had S/S and A/S drivers (some B drivers in the last race) and pretty much everyone got a stupid penalty somewhere.
At least they all tried to race fair and made room when they tried to get rid of their penalties.
Also raced against some familiar faces again @Beccosinho :gtpflag:

yesterday for me was confusing, in the first race I've made some dirty moves (not on purpose) and didnt get any penalties at all ... in the second race I've got hit some times, took 4 seconds of penalties, went to the side to pay for them, took a huge hit on the back while was slow and gained a huge 8 second penalty.

side by side through 130R is never going to work and since I was nowhere even close to overtaking you I backed of.

Edit: Still, it felt cheap to take points off you due to the Fin bumping you into the sand on the chicane :O

Can't believe how clean the racing is now best it's been brilliant racing this morning in kyoto
Very good news. I found the same last night. Weird how others are reporting it to be worse though

Finished my first race under the new rules. I was too chicken to race online yesterday. Since it isn't possible for my DR to take a hit, I figured I'd give BB a go. The racing was much cleaner. I only got the one penalty, for a wall, but that vanished as soon as I braked for the first turn. I've also noticed they softened the penalty for minor contact with the wall on that first turn. I grazed it a few times coasting with no penalty.

I found the same but the 'driving under the new algorithm' thread has plenty reporting much more unfairness.

No problem, I was up to 47k with my DR after midnight only to have it destroyed by the Gr.3 race which resulted in a bazillion penalties and crashes for me 🤬

Ouch!

I'm just touching 28500 now... so close to A! I would love to get into there even if I drop straight back out again, just to have been there.

I'm glad you also enjoy the one make races, so many complain about them but I think they are good fun :) it's technical, but in a different way to the gr. 3 or 4 cars.

Edit:
@bmxmitch I was the only driver in the Lexus AGAIN last night  went from P9 to P4 in that bad boy :)

Only enjoyed that particular race because I like driving the R32 and managed to set a quite decent qualifying lap. My optimum time would've put me on P13 in EMEA at the end of the day :scared:

Wow... and I finished ahead of you :D:lol:.

I just can't get the spoon right on Suzuka... it's really annoying.

Edit: I was 678 for the region . However, I made some really good DR gains even in the first two races where I finished 8th and 9th, due to the strength of the field in our races! Those two from the top 10 were a different level though... 8 seconds between them and the rest of the field

Yeah Spoon is a really odd corner, I just took it in 3rd gear and just mainly coasted through.

The russian guy screwed up T1 once and I passed him only to me then crashing out in 130R :banghead:

I did a LOT of qualifying and tried it so many different ways...
Coasting - end up in sand
Brake hard - lose too much power
Brake gently - not quick enough exit

In the end I found a mash of the brake, throttle, brake, throttle, brake sort of got me through

I guess that's what makes the difference between him and us mortals... recovering so well.

Robben, welcome back.

Not a daily race. The races on 2/26 were One make at Willow Springs, Gr1 at Lake Maggiore, and Gr3 at Brands Hatch. So again, when was the last time Panorama has been featured as a daily race? We literally had Gr3 at Yamagiwa a week ago today.

We are all B-B at the BB!!!

I hope we get more of those Blue Moon Bay Infield Gr.3 races. Had some good fun with the Mustang Gr.3 yesterday :)

There was a One-Make with the RX7 on Bathurst when the Suzuka R32 races were

Ah a Gr4 and Gr3 race, finally I have my day planned out.

Can someone recommend a good car for race 3, i am not a very good driver and every car i have tried seems determined to spin out once i have about 3 laps of tire wear.

Tuesday? If so then that would explain why I missed it because I was at work all day. But damn I've been waiting on Gr3/4 at Bathurst or Nordschleife for what seems like months now. It frustrates me that we see the same tracks just about every single week, there doesn't seem to be any sort of rotation whatsoever.

Porsche is best all around comfortable car
