Quick question for everyone. Do you participate in or skip the "warmup"? Does it have any effect on grip at the start of the race?
I never do the warm up. During that time, I'm usually on my porch smoking and drinking, or sizing up the field. I like to look at who's there (always on the lookout for certain people), what their times are, what they're driving (especially the car starting behind me). Also, it's a good idea to double-check your car settings. I've started races with the wrong transmission, wrong tires, wrong ABS setting, etc.

I've certainly lost quite a bit of DR over forgetting to check settings- especially tire selection.

Got the rig out of it’s vacation. I’ve spent yesterday and tonight, trying cars. All of the AWD ones. Evo was slow, but stable, WRX was just stable, Lambo was 2nd fastest, 3rd was GTR. Fastest?? The Atenza:confused: Got a 2:15,664, with an optimal of 2:14,4xx. But the most important thing, average of 2:16,1 over 5 or 6 laps. So I guess it’s time to make fast livery for it.
I also tried the Viper and Aston, but nooo. AWD it is.

Bathurst all week and Le Mans this weekend, this should be good:tup:

No track time today. Far too tired. So, I've been making the Gr.4 NSX look a bit like this.

More track time tomorrow, then we race on Thursday through to Sunday.

About those Meganes.. to fast on the straights.. but this.. is why the game is still worth playing, 4 cars doing battle and everyone behaves..
From 10th to....

Is the megane gr.4 glitched or something?! I don't understand. Why does a 350hp FF car have the best acceleration, highest top speed (which only drops off at the end) and the ability for very late braking?

Yep, this. Sometimes I change settings completely during qualifying only to forget to change them back once I enter a race.

Sounds like a true bounty hunter to me.

Day 2 of "I can't improve my Daily Race times because it is too 🤬 hot and my PS4 will explode if it's on for 2 seconds"
View attachment 827284

I love that kind of weather, ps4 won't turn on because I'm outside cycling or swimming. I was just doing that this afternoon while it was 68 with 35 kph winds. The pool was 74, got slightly sun burned warming up after with a good book. It needs to get warmer here, too cold in the shade.

The ps4 seems to hate to pre-race lobby. It's a good indication that the race has loaded and is about to start. Then it winds down its dual turbine engines when auto-drive is about to kick in. It's how I know when to get up and start racing :)

How do you do all that? All I know is how to colour the car and apply decals. Can I download someone else's paint work and then edit it?
Unfortunately not - but this livery is much simpler than it appears. I have a large collection of stolen decals. For this one I started with the red and blue lines pattern, applied that to other so it covers all the carbon bits and intakes, then found a paint to match and one of my many stolen coloursplashes (blue, pink and black lines are all the same decal applied and mirrored multiple times) and then picked from my sponsors and stickers according to vague colour match.

Patch up the gaps with basic shapes (to link all the black up at the back). Usually try to put racing number etc on before sponsors so theyre not blocked.

I'm really not the most creatively inspired guy and there are some guys who are crazy talented, but GTS's livery editor is actually pretty user friendly. Just go steal a bag of stickers and get fiddling around. This livery only took an hour or so.

Hot but not too hot where I am. But hot enough for me to know I won't be sleeping much. Sympathize with others in hotter areas.

My plan for hotter stretches this summer is to re-watch Game of Thrones due to it having lot's of winter scenes. :)

Saw another cooling fan thing on Amazon, been looking something like this to charge the controllers, fan would be a bonus.

Your vehicle looks totally different to the lemonade one preceding, and while the lemonade one is great, your's looks pretty incredible!

But how do I steal a logo, and where would they reside on a PS4? If I made a logo myself, how would I import it onto the PS4? The logo section on the editor looked like a "closed shop" to me. And I was surprised by the lack of logos in the editor's logo area. I did not see a way to import new ones, and from where and how etc etc.

A help site would assist I guess.

You can find them in the Decal section of the Discover area, where the Scapes photos and Liveries are. Click on a decal and "Add to Collection". Downloading your own is hard. I never got it to work.
