I have a different tendency with understeering cars - tune it out or don't drive it. I can never drive smooth in an understeer prone car.The way I am learning to handle understeering cars is to turn in early. And not worry so much about any balance issues ... its not the way I like to drive though, I like to use the throttle to steer. With these FWD cars, I reckon the throttle would be useful to control wheel spin from the front with all that power PD award these ridiculous cars. PD appear not to be fans of throttle steer at Bathurst, I am guessing its due to the majority of players using hand controllers?
If I fix my problems with my setup, I will try to race the Lexus. If I get clobbered, then I guess I'll have to go to the garage thing and buy a Megane ...
Why can't we sell cars in GTS?
Case in point - jumped in a race with the JoJo's Megane Trophy, starting from 10th with my TT lap. Passed by the mazda behind me on the straight but constant gains after that. Flat out through most of the mountain, it lets me stick the boot in.
i qualify about two seconds better with FWD when I can manage to wrestle the car around, but it's driving the RWD race cars that lets me do my thing - get alongside and outbrake, keep it on the track and reap the rewards from the penalty servers.
I finished 6th right on the bumper of a Megane I hunted down through the chase - one more corner I'd have had him for sure.
Even popped a little Sanpatsu Dorifto down the hill, getting sideways after a gentle touch through the third turn there (nothing malicious, just a brave Ferrari). Applied opposite lock and carved it sideways all the way through the hairpin clean, nicking two spots from battling cars up the inside on the exit.
Never try/accidentally pit maneuver a rally driver on downhill esses. Oversteer is like a comfy chair to me.
EDIT: new best lap - 2.16.230 in the Mustang, 2nd attempt. Took me 5 to do the TT lap. Think I might hammer more laps, feel I can get into the 15s easy if I don't slide t1 and better job at the hairpin. A competent RWD option - thank God.
Guys in my C lobbies are on pole with 2.15.xxx so no sense shooting for top 10 God lap.
