WD40 is a life saver and its much better been seen buying wd40 than it is Vaseline . . . .
I would not recommend standard WD40. Because it contains oil. The oil is good at displacing moisture though, but not for us. I reckon a teflon product is better, as its dry. There is a teflon WD40 product out there. If one wants grease then use lithium IMO. The lubricants bikers use for their chains is the best stuff - teflon or Dry PTFE. Seems to last a very long time too. Being dry it doesn't attract dust, and dust wears things down.

...

If i was sport mode manager Race A would be three lap gr4 events for the rush to the end and wreck sr rating to find out dr dont increase much with low sr. Race B would be every half an hour and Race C would be one per hour with bop on and the option to choose between two fixed setting options. Polyphony digital, let me be online race organiser or someone else who plays the game, your not listening to us, time we had the final say as we race :)

I would like that except that the game penalises one too much if you quit mid race.

IMO if you are in a position where you will gain DR points, then if you quit the game - which is much more likely in longer races - then you should not loose DR points. If you quit from 13th then if your going to loose points in 13th place, then loose the points for coming 13th, not for coming 24th. That way longer races would be attractive. But if the phone rings or the wife or girlfriend calls or Mum and Dad I guess - well we should be able to quit the game without having to handle a last place points deduction, something which is quite unfair IMO, and in fact I thinks its vindictive. Its a game and if I quit I have not walked out on my wife or done something PD regards as evil.

I'm gonna criticise PD's choices for next week. N300 at Tokyo should've been N300 at Nordschleife, then Gr.4 at Suzuka should've been at the GP course of the Nürburgring, and the N24 Race C in Gr.3 cars can be left as is. That way, next week is a full on Nürburgring week to coincide with the N24 race and the World Tour event held there.

Nurb 24h should appear more. Say next week its gr3 as usual. Then rota a new 24h in with gr2 so it appears more. Then add a gr4 one for race b with nismo gtrs then add nord for gr1 with four laps. Adding all them together as a rotation will have the track featured more. I listen to people moan about n24 and nord, if people cant handle a car or n24 or nord its clear racing isnt for them. It requires skill and focus and stamina, all of which racing drivers have. Those who use the constant repeat of weekly races to maintain points need to learn other tracks. Am fed up of seeing same people dominate the leaderboards and races, more needs to be done. Adding more gr to n24 then mount panorma, its always gr4 or gr3. It should also have gr2 and gr1 and n600 class, same tracks with different cars. As for handling polyphony digital like all other gaming studios should have handling and physics completed before release and not sneaking in new ones and they may actually have not lost so many players. Company near me used its customers as a test of new things, that company now ceases to excist and was fined and lost most of its staff. Changes are not in this day and age the way forward. Make a product and dont change it :)

I use the '17 I believe. The one that isn't the prototype. Honestly, I'm not sure how different they are. Stats are almost identical.

The difference on Brand's hatch for me was
1:23.929 (1:24.711) Lexus RC F 16
1:24.218 (1:24.460) Lexus RC F 17
Between brackets is best lap before the update, after the update the '16 was faster. Of course the difference is so minor, could have been traffic, my mood, lag, anything.

Thanks for your advice. Hope the new tcr series does well too, theres no coverage for it in the eu, hoping someone will youtube it. I watch mount panorama on live youtube from spectators, you see accidents they dont show on tv. Last time a spectator has audi r8 all over the bentley in the mid section then the bentley left audi behind on the straights and a nismo gtr magically appeared from nowhere as usual lol

Next week's races are up

A: N300 - Tokyo Central Outer Loop - 5 laps - Grid start with False start check so most likely one make
B: Gr.4 - Suzuka - 4 laps
C: Gr.3 - Nurburgring 24h - 2 laps - x5 fuel, x7 tyres (RH)

Race C was expected with the actual race next weekend, but the other 2 tracks have been used relatively recently so will feel repetitive
Just when I thought the races were getting better... They get worse.:ouch:

Suzuka might be the Cayman. Loved the Mustang and RC F around there, but the Slophy was the META back then. Can't call it with these races of late. The V8s are finally making a comeback in Sport Mode. Bathurst is showing people they are still awesome cars to steer.

SLS is practically FMR. Super balanced on any course with middle to high speed esses.
M4 will be sweet at Suzuka too. Should turn the races into "GT4" with FR and MR cars only.

Just when I thought it was getting cleaner, down to SR.A now. Mainly due to the penalty zone creating accidents. Last race a slow car swerves last second after he unghosts, I evade into the grass as only option, but the WRX doesn't like grass, veers back and I end up with a 2 sec penalty, which turns into 6 positions lost, over 4 sec lost in the next penalty zone. Those 6 create chaos, I pass a few only to get rammed from behind 3 times. -13 SR for one race.

The penalty zone at the chase is in a terrible spot. Every race it's chaos with traffic going at different speeds, gambling if they can still pass before the kink, or two penalty servers slowly driving side by side unghosting at any moment. Last week it was Goodwood where the penalty zone created chaos in the 2 high speed turns, before that Monza in the narrow bit otw to Ascari, and earlier Sarthe with 3 penalty zones so unbalanced that in one it takes double the time from you while in another it costs less than the penalty time to serve a penalty.

I'm starting to think it's not all that much better than what we had before.... Just different with new problems. One of which is people keep ramming and then quit when reaching the penalty zone as 'revenge' for ending up with a penalty. Just add it on at the finish, stop with the nonsense!

Next race, I know how the system works and why this happens but I still have to vent.
T1WiMUs.gif

Another race ruined by an idiot that was never going to make that corner.

I was already slowed from all those flashing penalty cars in front of me running into each other, but mr hero diver behind me thought he could make the corner at top speed. Of course the penalty zone turns those 2 sec in 4 sec lost so he gets in front of me, reward for reckless driving. 70 SR left.

Lol down to SR.B now, from 70 to 40 in one race from endless bumping. Total chaos, that was not a race, full destruction derby round. And the one that started it, was the one that said let's have a clean race at the start... Always is. Time to walk the dog.

SR.C, and it's time to qualify. Impossible to race from the back at lower SR. Half the people stop to pick up hitch hikers along the way or to take a picture, wth. 24 SR left in 4 races lol.

Someone got mad at me, the person most have thought i pulled a penalty on him on purpose, and on the last lap i think someone did that exact same thing on me. But hey.. everything is fun :-)

The replay starts from the end.. notice the Yellow Audi, that's my "problem"

Before getting stuck in a downward spiral:
WOzd.jpg

Clean race bonus in all GR.4 cars in SR.S, a couple with fastest laps yet podium always out of reach, best finish 4th place.

And these are my best times in all the cars (in race)

2:13.789 Mustang
2:13.840 Huracan
2:14.460 RCZ
2:14.654 RC F
2:14.840 TT Cup
2:14.895 Megane
2:14.970 WRX
2:15.054 Corvette
2:15.154 Cayman
2:15.288 F-Type
2:15.293 BMW M4
2:15.449 Lancer
2:15.481 Sirocco
2:15.571 GT-R
2:15.680 Veyron
2:15.839 Citroen GT
2:15.899 V8 Vantage
2:15.947 McLaren
2:16.048 Viper
2:16.073 Ferrari 458
2:16.209 NSX
2:16.213 Genesis
2:16.316 SLS AMG
2:16.414 Alfa 4C
2:16.827 Atenza
2:16.977 86
2:17.654 Trophy

FF is not for me, although the RCZ is still in 3rd. The Mustang won so I qualified in that with 2:13.415 to start rebuilding my SR tomorrow. I was trying to set a better lap in the 86, however one unfair penalty led to another thanks to the penalty zone. Once out of SR.S the snowball effect only increased to land at SR 24 a couple races later.

No matter, as long as I don't drive the Trophy it should be fine. That car really is that bad at Bathurst.

In that same spot this morning i passed a ghosted car on the right side but the guy behind me hit him into the wall as he un-ghosted and i got 2 seconds for it.. i was like 5-6 car lenghts ahead at that point.

Odd, I had some weird delayed penalty as well in one of the downward spiral rases. One car hit me into the wall on the way to Skyline after he messed up at McPhillamy park swerving back onto the track, he didn't get anything. Then he got bumped from behind in the esses (while I was ahead out of reach), took the shortcut and I ended up with the penalty...

Well, two Laps on N24 is short for the experienced player. But think of it like this: Daily C has a fixed 30 Minute rhythm. We (as in „experienced Players“) make the lap in 8:30 or less which sums up to 17 Minutes. Add some warmup matchmaking and other unproductive time and it‘s about 20 Minutes. Three laps would be 28:30.

Now an inexperienced Player might easily need 9:30 per Lap. This three times is 28:30 plus 2 Minutes warmup, matchmaking etc: Bam!

Considering the fate of Sainte Croix, Blue Moon Speedway and Willow Springs we should be happy to have it as daily C at all. It could be worse: One Lap Special Route X in the Fiat 500

I need to get my morning coffee...

also that speeding sign is the best track sign i've ever seen lol.

I just enjoy the racing there. I enjoy the risk of putting my points on the line and also trying to beat people. It makes it fun

Yes its does ...Race 6 times win 5 time and 1 for 2nd... Time Q is 1.13.675(Megane). Then I stopped and learn more on Race C..

As photo shows the daily race error is back Plus the guy in p1, blocks you in to slow you down. Hate racing with it. Last race he went wide, i tried a overtake, he blocked me in and got the penalty luckily then he quit. Why i dont like been a rank, the skill level of arragance is disgusting in alot of a rank racers. No offense to the clean ones but after this week been in a rank has put me off sport mode and its awful poor skill. They swerve to block you in, let their pals past and claim the newer racer caused the crash. Full ghosting please polyphony just like GT6 to teach these non skilled drivers a lesson so we can drive through them and leave them for dust.

You have sense about n24 and two laps beem to short. What pd are actually allowing is for the rammers and cheats to dash race which is why top rank is to full. One race per hour for n24 is needed. That would filter out the awlful racers as they would never keep up with us there.

I wonder about that: Next week 6 races?
Or just a small mistake... Let's discuss!

Both of Saturdays FIA races are at La Sarthe. Gr.3 in Manufacturers and Gr.1 in Nations.

Yessss, I am going to watch Le Mans race and then take part in GT Sport Series and hope for a good result.
Maybe I watch an onboard cam for know how to drive faster - you understand.
I think this weekend will be a racing pleasure!

It would be very cool to have two similar races in next week with the Nürburgring 24 hours, but the FIA GT World Series has the second live event there, so I am going to watch this event and enjoy it.

Interlagos gr3 is another on to much race. Gr1 sarthe is good, and tskuba n100 (the mini) :banghead:

Should add a race with just the Group C cars, another with just the classic prototypes

Well, I had a good battle with the other F-type, but he was spending a bit too much time in the braking area. One of the RC Zs went off and was behind me fighting with another RC Z. I followed close all race so the cars behind couldn't pass. I made my move on the last lap on the insoide up monutain straight. I did a WHincup vs Frosty knowing I wasn't going to make the corner unless the other F-Type braked early as normal. I got close to the wall as the RC Z got the run and took to avoided cutting it off.
As we got to The Elbow, The RC Z slowly crept up the inside line at The Chase. I was a bit upset because all race, I was patient all race, to keep pace for us both and now, the F-Type "lets" the RC Z get that inside line for The Chase.

I got a "Great Race"( something like that) at the end, but I messaged to the F-Type, "Should have blocked the RC Z!". Oh, well.

When i am blocked in i block them on psn. Cant wait for the block follow feature if it comes as i will block them on gt sport too lol. If people raced by not blocking in not only would race pace increase but sr would be stronger. Blocking someone in is not how to race, its how 🤬 race lol my autistic view anyway. But yeah, someone blocks you in, messages you on psn to say sorry, they send you friend request  LOL i block them in a more mature adult manner lol my psn block list is fantastic lol

Now that is a race to test all sorts of endurance! :scared:

Surely a typo? 6 Races? I don't even know what to think... Can the servers even handle that? :banghead:

It's Father's Day weekend in the UK. I'll see how much grace my family chooses to afford me this year! Hopefully I'll get to play Saturday night when everyone goes to bed and it's Le Mans night racing o'clock (except for in the game, when it'll be midday... because...) If I can get on for the FIAs I will. Even just to pootle around at the back.

To the Gods of the Sarthe river valley I sacrifice my DR.

As for the Nurburgring... For me it's not even the Green Hell, it's just 'what's the point'. 8-9 minutes before you get around to practice each corner/sector again? Great. I'm in awe of you guys who know it and are good at it. But for me it's just a no go. I'm not good enough. It's probably a 4C week around Suzuka for me - time to make a better livery 💡

You are proof that next week theres a daily race for everyone. You should do what i did with nurb 24hr, spend six hours driving around in a 4wd gr4 car, then a porsche then into gr3, with in six days i was ready and racing and glad i learned myself and set a top ten lap time until the super slippery slidey supra came out. That car needs someone to make it the ultimate livery, GRRRR Supra ID Glide lubrication livery lol
