Did you guys see the news about the '69 Camaro coming to the game? :D I'm really happy about that, but it'll probably get ignored for daily racing, just like so many other great street cars. :grumpy: How about some diversity? Enough with the Gr cars and the Japanese tracks. :yuck:

Give me a Camaro race at Laguna Seca, or Sonoma, and I'll call in sick for a week. 👍

Is it an RS/SS? My old boss had one of those, that was one sweet effin car. :)

Edit: Nope, it’s a Z28. Still a sweet car. :)

Look for live streams. That's going to be your best bet. Not a lot of networks want to carry 24 endurance races.

I had the Ford livestream fro LeMans running off and on in my basement.

These guys look to be live streaming. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKgMzHVA7nsDsDEKKMc9bKA

Nürburgring at least plans some YT-Streams for Qualifying:

Q1: Today at 20:25 german time

Q2: Tomorrow 14:55 german time

Top Qualifying: tomorrow 18:55 german time

There may be some more live events, just look at Nürburgrings YT channel.

Thanks I'll check it out. Not really tech savvy over here lol. Gonna try to stream the race on YT from my Samsung phone to my 75" t.v. :scared::lol:. Wish me luck.

Well...that backfired. Joined race C with my GT-R with a 8:40,xxx (improved to 8:39,6 just before joint the race) which gave me P13 and number 17. I figured P1 with a 8:20-ish would run away with it, making me not go the full distance and making my no-stopper take me up the rankings. I was wrong.
After lap 1, I was 5th, with a healthy ~5 seconds to 6th. He naturally caught up to me, but thanks to him being a non-ramming-idiot and the Nordschleife, he couldn’t pass. Until I 🤬 up. Fair enough. 6th isn’t that bad. Just as I got on to the final straight (whatever it’s called), I had 0,1 laps of fuel left, and no one to draft. 🤬
So going down the last hill, I ran out of fuel and ended 10th 🤬

If #1 had only been faster, I would’ve had 6th place  Gained ~60 DR and -1 SR. Because someone bumpdrafting me is obviously my fault.🤬 Why can’t PD just admit that they 🤬 at making a reasonable good penaltysystem?
They should just stop doing this franchise, and let someone that’s good at it do it instead.

Sport mode at its best is awesome, but this POS penaltysystem would’ve gotten someone fired if it was a company that had normal people in charge

Trying to figure out which one I sick worse at, race B or C. QT is down to 12:713 for B which is great for me- but I just can't drive in traffic this week. Oh well. Maybe getting back to D will put in better lobbies for where I'm wat right now. I'm glad I didn't get up to B last week- then the fall would have been far more precipitatous and bad for those around me. We'll see what happens after tonight.

Did you see that Audi at N24 qualifying? Terrifying, man.

*I just started a lobby race for anyone who wants to get some practice, so they can kick some ass at next week's Lemans Gr.1.
Had to shut it down. I have no idea how to run a lobby race. Some dude showed up in a F1 car and created havoc, then he came back in some kind of 50,000 horsepower car, and it got worse. People were telling me to kick him out. I didn't know how to. I didn't even know how to set a vehicle or BoP limit. I just wrote Gr.1 in the title, but it didn't seem to matter. My lobby experience is very limited. I guess I'll leave that stuff up to Pigems.

Anyone else wanna do it?

So's I haven't played until today. Allergies kicked the crap outta me.

So I try the Lexus on B.. damn thing is on rails. I've driven this car awhile back (on rails) and she was top heavy... anyone else notice?

Time to vent a bit, just quit another race.

Before I had 3 races with this driver, who has rammed me before in the past, every time I see him. First race he ran into me in T1 spoiling my clean race already with SR Down. Next race he rams me in T1 again then punts me off at the Nord entrance. Third race he punts me in T1 then at the end again after I pass him while he's serving a penalty yet again. I recorded the last two races and made a little tribute to the dirtiest driver in GT Sport, watch out for this guy.

Why are these kind of drivers allowed back into SR.S

After that I finally had a clean race and 3rd place with the Audi.

On to the 4C. I know you like to drive close behind @Voodoovaj, but that was a little too close, SR Down. No need to drive bumper to bumper, any bit of lag means SR Down. It was my first time using the 4C but I don't think I was going slow.

Second race in the 4C, managed to avoid a double dive bomb in T1, wtf... I'm starting too low now, 9th, too many people with nothing to lose right behind. It was going well until Flugplatz where a Brazilian tried to pass last second on the inside... He pushed me out to the kerb, my car veered back and he went off on the inside, penalty for me.

Perhaps it's time to lower SR again to get clean races.

Another quit, can't get through T1 from 9th when the car behind is intent of bumping you out of the way. Beat sabre time.

Tried one more N24 race. Started 9th, got sucked out onto the grass trying to avoid a moving obstacle VW and crashed into a wall. I got a 5 second penalty because crashing to last place wasn’t punishment enough lol. Ended up finishing 14th and -1000 DR or something.

Annnnd thats enough of that.

Hey @Pigems, I finally got it done. At least I feel like it's done, because I ran out of ideas. This is what I've been doing the last couple of days, instead of the daily races. 287 decals, and an embarrassing number of hours. I found this old gem rotting in my grandpa's barn. :) I shared it in the game, in case anybody would like to use it. 👍 There are a ton of small details that you can't see in these photos.

Then I took it out to the track to try it out, because ya know corrosion makes it lighter (I realize it's got a fiberglass body, but this livery requires a suspension of disbelief).

That's a very rare steel bodied 'vet. Clearly Chevrolet got it right by making most of 'em out of plastic. She just needs a quick fill and spray and get rid of her as quick as you can.

Doh, forgot to turn the sound of the tv back on after playing Beat Saber. N24 is hard enough, without engine and tire sounds even worse. Then I'm thinking there is the straight, now I can walk up and turn up the volume, except I forgot about one corner.... Wall hit me

@Sven Jurgens, how about this guy? One of the worst I've seen. He's a dude I've been looking for, for quite a while now.

I had a run-in with him at Dragon Trail Gardens, in the Ferrari race. I called him out, and his response was, uh, inappropriate. Undoubtedly, he's forgotten me. Obviously, I've not forgotten him. He's usually really high on the qualifying list, and he has 1,457 wins (you know how to use that info ;)), because like you have said, the penalty system rewards him with easy races. But he won't win another race that I'm in.

I don't know what kinda trend that is..or what looks good. Im not that into it I suppose..quit a lot. But this second account has me intrigued

Hello, welcome, congratulations!

2.13.XXX isn't slow. Granted it isn't alien. But its not slow. My first races in Sport Mode were Suzuka Gr.4 when it last came around. I only managed a 16.6xx then. And 100+ races in my highest finish is still 3rd step on the podium!

You'll only get better/quicker. And these guys on here will help! Community encouragement goes a long way.
Thank you very much :) .
The site and the forums are great, already helped me a lot of things :) :gtplanet: .
I'm too(?) cautious in the races - I brake always way too early - but it's ok I think for now.

 This game... enough to make one cry.

I get gifted 2nd place by the RC F drifting on the grass under the underpass. I get to the final chicane. I tip toe as I'm 3.5 seconds ahead. I accelerate out of the chicane and get slapped with 1.5 seconds!!!:lol::lol: At that point, I was a bit distracted by the red flashing while looking to see how much time and the car behind, closed in at 1.8 seconds.

And I'm here improving my time to an 8:12.584 in the Audi, with an optimum of an 8:12.0
I messed up on lap 2, so I have no idea what my optimal is. If anything, probably in the 8:12 range. I barely saved it on one of the turns in Nordschleife.

Best of luck, we will need it.

E1- K, my blood is starting to boil. :banghead:

E2 - Throwing in the towel for the night. 🤬 pissed off at my own mistakes. Could have been on the road to 8:11 when I turn into Captain Dumbass and screw up on the caroussel.

Staying calm is the option i guess.

But that sucks. No desire to brake on that last bump. Did you report him? I guess he should have enough reports by now.

It's crazy I can keep moving up from the back. The F1s ahead, started 2nd & 3rd. I got 1 second for something at the start. The car ahead of me gets .5 seconds after an M6 shoved him off the track. That was ridiculous. Finished with 0.2 laps of fuel. Full throttle up the hills and on the straight.

R8 LMS race: Held on to the lead with that 8:12 time that put me on pole, but the 167 MPH top speed on Döttinger Hohe straight puts me in some big trouble when an RSR slipped past me, and it went downhill from there. Total race time is at around the 16:55 range.

V12 Vantage GT3 race: This British tank requires more work to steer than the R8, and presumably a bit more than the Jag as well. This car requires short shifting on FM3 while using FM2/FM1 down the straights. The Atenza threatened me throughout the entire race, but this royal boat is faster than that VASC wannabe. Total race time is a 16:55

Suzuka is infuriating!!!

Get the esses right? Cock up Spoon, and Casio. Get the esses wrong? Nail Spoon, and Casio.

2:09.5xx is there. I can smell it. I'm going for a coffee/smoke before I throw my nice new cleaver through the TV.

I really feel your pain. I must have done 100 practice laps at Suzuka and don't feel any real improvement. I was sat at a 2:09.5 for ages and just today got to a 2:09.3 but I'm horribly inconsistent.

The frustration is I feel like I should be faster but I just can't find anymore time, or even get my fastest time with any consistency. Then I'll end up in a race where the leaders bang out regular 2:08's that I can't get close to.

For what it's worth, my fastest time is in the RCF but I'm more consistent in the 458. The problem is when racing the 458 lacks straight line speed so you're often a sitting duck on straights and overtaking is almost impossible unless someone makes a mistake. The 458 is quicker through the esses but you can't overtake there so you get held up, and then overtaken on the straights.

More practice needed I suppose. I just can't get the fast consistent laps here :boggled:
