Hey I love Suzuka ,probably my best track .I also love pumpkin pie ,but you don't see me eating it every week :banghead:

I could go for some Pumpkin Pie most times in fairness.

Ummm... I prefer Suzuka over Fuji, so if there was a plus that's it... Aaannnddd as it was only last week you'd hope I could remember how to get around. Just a tad faster.

I'd like to do the new one, but I can't actually drive anything faster than a Gr.3 so that's out. Goodwood will depend on the ride... But most likely another no-go for me.

So that'll be 3 weeks of Race B pour moi.

Something definitely changed. 100%. The moment I fired it up I felt it. I think, once acclimated, it doesn't negatively affect the experience, but it's definitely different. I am definitely not having to feather the throttle as much and I am finding less sliding around, if you get entry and exit right.

Before, even if you got it right, you would slide.

I notice it most at corner 4 of Interlagos, and the final turn before the back straight. At Turn 4, you can go over the curb without being pitched out to the edge of the track. Same with the last corner. Touching the curbing or being a little aggressive on the throttle isn't as punishing.
got my time down to 1:30.964 this morning and i dont know 4 U but im playing with a wheel and didn't feel any change didn't even changed my break balance and the only physics that they have changed its the shifting on few Nclass car ?

A: N200 - Goodwood - 5 laps - Sports Hard
[Insert some classics that you want here]
B: Gr.3 - Suzuka - 4 laps - Racing Hard

C: Gr.X One Make - Sardegna A - 13 laps - Racing Soft, Medium and Hard - x3 fuel, x12 tyre wear
I hope everyone's OK with the X2019...

This section of the track just kills me. :banghead: Maybe 10 or 15 percent of the time I can get through there properly. :dunce:
I just did GT League > Nostalgic 1979 > Circuit de la Sarthe (No Chicane) w/ the P4. Took a few tries but had learn to make up the speed on that side of the track. Finally feel comfortable on that track. Good exercise.

Scary isn't it? I'm not quick there but very safe with this vague guide;

Start braking around the second arrow in the center of the road, steadily back to full power through the left hander, lifting to part throttle when transitioning to the right, lifting more to be safe on the exit of the left hander (despite the fact everyone in the real deal le mans abuses that kerb flat out and its considered on track) and once you know you won't exceed the kerb there on exit, flat out until Ford.

I have crashed just about everywhere else on La Sarthe this week except here, so something about it works. It's very skechy at the first curve in traffic as people's lines and braking are all over the place in B rank. Might not be the fastest line but safe in every car i've used it in. LMP1s can go quicker there more comfortably, less lifting after the flat left hander.

LM55 with TC2 for max comfy.

So, yesterday I did two Daily Race Bs with the RC F and the R8 (the latter is used to get me a quali time of a 1:31.786), both starting in 3rd. The RC F race became a damage control race after I tapped and spun the 2nd place starting Ferrari and subsequently slapping me with a 5 second penalty, and added 1 second for breaching the track limits in frustration. Eventually finished 10th with a 6 point SR loss. The R8 race went with a nice battle against a 4th placed Aston on the first half and with the 2nd placed NSX on the final few moments of the race and stayed that way. Winners are a WRX (RC F race and a GT-R (R8 race).

Today, I dropped my quali time from the initial 3:22.486 to a 3:20.666 in the Alpine.

Also, bonus round!

Finally racing at la Sarthe.

It's a mess. As is the penalty system. Someone spins, and I can't avoid them. Manage to JUST clip their back end as they slide across the track. 5 second penalty.

Another fun race at Interlagos tonight. Started in 11th with 9 A or A+ drivers ahead on me.
The carnage in turn 1 served me well and I got some gains that I was then fighting to maintain for the rest of the race.
Ended in 8 with a 12 on my door so I was pleased with that.
I really had to put my elbows out and traded some minor paint but it was fun.

This evening I did five race B and 2 c race.
There was everything. Good races, and bad.
This is the most I have ever done at one sitting.
I managed 2 podium...Interlagos is all about who you race. Lemans gave me a second!
Pretty good night.
There’s many worse experiences a person could have...

As a beginner to all of this, I am not even attempting the B and C races. My race craft needs much polishing before I go and ruin some else's day!

That said - Yesterday I ran several A races and even managed my first ever pole with a 1.12.xx - I was delighted to say the least. After 5 laps in the lead, some (expletive deleted) side swiped me into the gravel and took my first win away from me.

Two races later, the same person was 3 places in front of me and I started 9th. After 3 laps he/she tried the same tactic on another and ended up in a mangled heap with 3 other cars. Finished 4th and laughed - a lot!

Retribution is always best when observed from a distance!!!!

Best regards to all here.

Ian.

Just to plug my own video. Here I explain this section (video set to correct time)

and at full speed

First time. :D
Kinda funny, because I never thought I'd reach it. I thought I would always be stuck at A (or B in the earlier days of GTSport).

It's incredible isn't it! Well done. I felt I would be a B driver from the game, maybe A. But never thought I would get to A+ (S back then) Keep on practising! You'll get to the top eventually!

It's a great feeling that it has all paid off! But I think that was half of the battle. Trying to get to 75k, or even 60k, will probably be hard. Part of it will lie on me trying to get a better pace around the tracks, with the other part being me trying not to choke haha.

But let's keep fighting on! :D

Not bad for a slightly above average driver ;) Congrats:cheers:
Thanks!
