Matchmaking at Monza has been a joke so far, only a few A, mostly D with half the grid not even putting in a qualifying lap. A recipe for disaster. However since I get to start in the top 3 or top 5 I get through mostly unharmed. Mostly, get nailed at T1 and a red rating is already certain. Every race a few people get dropped to SR.A and SR.B. This race really is decided in the first turn :/

I did have a couple close races however most of the time racing is done after the first lap and I'm simply driving with a growing gap in front and behind. Not enough people on to get a real match. Typical Monza race this morning:

Purging the S ranks.

Penalty system is better though. I got bumped at T2 into the car in front and forced into a short cut, didn't get a penalty for it. Just lost the clean race bonus.

One of the race C Blue Moon races last night was like that, a handful in the back didn't even qualify, and ranged from DR A to D and the specific D drivers were absolutely horrible. At the end of the race everyone except the first 2 had a red dot.

That's me in 6th.

Question about using different accounts. Do you need to sign up separately for PSN, I.e. pay again?
Nope. Just need an alternative email address and pick a post/zip code from somewhere in a country you choose within the region you wish to play in.
I would recommend you put the same name as on your original account. At least then it is obvious you are not hiding your true identity to circumvent anything.

Monza is a SR graveyard , never done a single race there , all the more with that car which has close to no brakes

Miss me with these races today

After the ****fest that was yesterday, last thin I need is noobs in a **** Vulcan smashing me on monza or dodgems at panama.

Might catch up on some GT league

Indeed, you have to start braking before even reaching any of the distance markers... Every race I see those orange blocks flying in the rear view mirror and navigate around them in the next lap. It seems some people don't even try and use the reset after the chicane feature that still hasn't been fixed.

Got punted big time at Monza right now and lost my cool for the rest of the race. :(
Here's to hoping that this next one goes better.

I am DRB and SRS so I am no muppet at this game. Top 10% according to Kudos.I've done one race at Mt Panorama today and finished 5th. So how come I am about 8 seconds off the top time at Mount Panorama? I ve watched the top time and am none the wiser. The top lap time was very neat, but I couldn’t see anything radically different to what I am doing.
I managed a 5th, and then a 3rd there, but the drivers that won those 2 races did so by not pitting - both won by over 30 seconds, and had fastest lap, how is that done?

Daily B sure is a challenge. Down to 69 SR now. Getting hit at T1 is certain red. Not getting hit at T1 I only get a white rating, without any time penalties. Someone rubbed in T1 yet no SR down or time, still 0 SR for a further squeeky clean race, no red dot. What do you want from me PD!

It's the dark souls of racing, Vulcan on Monza!

Got hit again from behind in T1 2 sec penalty, now down to SR.B 62 SR. I did win the race though, just 1 hit from behind, clean race further, -7 SR lol. DR is up to 43K now, yet if this keeps going it will be a massive downgrade soon.

Next race on pole, only DR.A, B to D field (immune to time penalties) behind. Could the stakes get any higher.

Grinding Monza has actually raised my DR to a C today. That S is teetering in SR though...

Nice colours so far - I need to do some for my vipers soon

Ended up purple and green, I thought I couldn’t do a viper without it looking like a venomous snake. May continue that theme on a different car

Go up in driver rating and have the worst competition yet... SR just dropped to an A. Forgot to save replay. Guy causes accident spins out hits grass. Immediately jumps back on track and takes the best line. I drop to the right to pass him and he blocks me causing me to slam into him and propel him forward as I get a 5 second penalty. I'm done with today. I'll take my DR rating jump and call it. This penalty system needs fixed and Ghosting needs to last until the car can get back up to speed with the field. Almost rage quit that one. Running in 6th with the lead pack before that happened. Dropped all the way to 12th and finished 9th.

I'm enjoying race A so far. The new penalty system hasn't negatively hurt me yet from being able to literally drive away from the chance of contact

That russian guy in P1 global is a real alien, I raced him in the R32 Suzuka dailies earlier this week and after the first time through the esses he flew away.
But he also showed me that aliens are sometimes prone to errors too, he spun off in T1 once, then left space for me to pass and followed with a small gap. Unfortunately I binned the car half a lap later :banghead:

Actually racing the Vulcan on Monza is a disaster. Cars sliding everywhere. Even I got distracted by the rear view and missed my break points in lap 1. The rest of the race was like a time trial with obstacles. Sr only down to 98 despite the carnage.

Hot lapping paid off with my first appearance in the Top 10!

For one of the upcoming Daily As or Bs, I’d really like to see the Pantera on Maggoire West. Just had a satisfying race with that car.

I think we were racing each other not long ago!

This Daily Race is a mixed bag, especially when everyone is approaching the first two chicanes. I've had races where I can successfully go through them untouched and other races where I suddenly see myself getting punted into the barriers and (sometimes) enjoy a delicious 20 second penalty. Last night, I had my SR dip from S to A (don't know the numbers) and got it back up to S. This Daily Race is best compared to any race in Grand Theft Auto Online.

I've already had two races where I just couldn't for the life of me get control of the Vulcan and unfortunately took some poor souls with me. So if any of you reading this were one of them, I'm sorry. :(

Congrats on making Top 10! Making it to the 1:45 time is a heck of an achievement of its own!

Quite a lot of the leaderboard guys couldn't string together more than 2 laps in a race if their lives depended on it from my own experience , put them under any sort of pressure they crack. They're only comfortable with nobody within 2-3 seconds of them.

I saw your screen name. I think you won that race and FL. Congrats! It was the only race I entered.( I got blue screened during another entry.) It would have been a good race if I hadn't screwed up the first lap. I got to excited and distracted. Racing in the midfield was rough. Closing rate was ridiculous especially when penalties were observed.

Hope to get a chance to race with you again. I'm done for today though.

Well, I was climbing up a bit in SR on Monza, then got pole and punted again at T1, 9 sec penalty as I got launched into a short cut, then got punted again at the second chicane, made it back to 3rd however down to 62 SR. I'm an easy target for DR.C drivers, fat DR.A chicken to pluck DR from. All you got to do is not brake and I have to sit out a penalty while everyone goes by, fun.

Here's a tutorial on my best lap so far for race A which is currently first in the Americas region and tenth worldwide.

Ah dang, sorry to hear! I've been getting disconnected here and there, but that's mostly my ISP messing with me.
I always find the beginning to be the worst part. The rest isn't so bad for the most part. Just gotta stay focused because the Vulcan likes to do Vulcan things. :ouch:

Same! See you around!

Funny, did a few Tokyo races in American account and some dude accuses me of cheating after the race because I got rid of the penalties before the finish and beat him by just 0.1s - I had 4.5s penalty (3 of them because he pushed me to the wall while overtaking him....) and was over 5s ahead and once again going slow didn‘t trigger until I got down to crawling speed.

And then I get the daily workout gift - guess what I get after having received 100s of crappy workout gifts in the EU account? One daily workout in the US account and I get the 20m Ferrari! In dozens of daily workouts I have not even seen it in the „slot machine“ in the EU account.

Well, I surrender, Monza wins. Every time I get back to SR.A I get rammed from behind in T1 or the second chicane sending me back to SR.B.It's impossible to climb back up to S. I'm spending more time watching my rear view mirror to dodge incoming cars than looking at the road ahead. SR.B is better behaved than SR.A, SR.A still needs a lesson I guess. Final score for Monza today, started at SR.99 DR 40K, ended at SR 55 DR 44K.

Time for a break then attack the mountain, probably not the best way to start Bathurst in SR.B.

So far, after 4 races, SR back to 99 already.

First race close behind another car all race. I attempt a pass yet don't have enough overlap. He pits first, I go another lap and we meet up again in lap 6. In the final lap I time my corner exit right and pass him on the straight. Fun race with clean race bonus.

Second race. I start on pole. Pretty boring race with a steady 2-3 sec time gap to 2nd place. I slightly mess up my pit entry and exit the pit with 7 sec penalty... I have to let 2nd and 3rd pass. Now I'm 3 sec behind 2nd place with only 3 laps to go, finish 3rd.

Third race. I start second. First is over a second per lap faster than me, 3rd is a second per lap slower than more. Boring race, finish 15 sec behind first, 18 sec ahead of 3rd.

Fourth race, same thing, same players. I experiment with no tire change to have something to do. That only lets 3rd place get closer, my lap times suffer greatly. I finish 22 seconds behind first, 4 sec ahead of 3rd.

Matchmaking is boring on Bathurst, perhaps now at max SR I'll finally get some cars to contend with.

Next race is up, start in 8th, Turismo-lester on pole, qualifying times not too far apart, finally a race!
