Anyone struggling for race pace in race 3? I qualified with a 1.38.8, can do 39's in qualy. In race i am being mobbed right from the get go, usually start mid to lower mid pack against a lot of A drivers and strong B drivers (SR S, DR B) . Right from lap 1 though I am just not able to hang with almost anyone, often finishing last but for guys who rage quit. I seem to have a TON of understeer, even on RS and by the time i hit lap 3 I am miles off the pace as the tyre wear exacerbates my issues.

I suspect i lean on the fronts too hard for tun in and cook them up quickly but I am circulating a solid 4 to 5 seconds off my qualification pace.

Jumped right into it this morning (race b). Managed a 3rd to 3rd run in my first race today. Fairly clean and uneventful affair. Couple laps of good racing and a couple laps by myself do to others and my own small errors. Hope it is gonna be a good morning for me. No way I'll hit A+ after dropping a few thousand points at the start of the week, and i wont be on all weekend, camping....

Well, I was hoping for more karting glory this morning, but have been back and forth to the loo every couple of minutes to the point where I couldn't even finish an attempt at the Porsche Nordschleife TT.

To spare you all the details, the tap is open but the water floweth not. And of course, meanwhile, my family wants to fall out with each other and try and drag me to one side or the other, but this forum isn't the place for me to complain about that.

So here I am, sat on the loo with a whole bag of bugger all happening and my messenger pinging every couple of minutes with messages I don't wanna read.

Hopefully my body sorts itself out and I can play today, otherwise I'll just be sat on my backside visualising waterfalls all day...

...not a great day. Hope y'all are having a better one.

I can't remember ever driving Yamagiwa but i'll give it my best shot.

Is it a regular thing for Race C to be kept secret? I hope it hasn't been switched off in lieu of Time Trials! Can you imagine the eRiots?
It hasn't happened for as long as I've been around. Abolishing race C would probably top every questionable / straight up stupid decision PD have made so far  I wouldn't put it past them tbh, but I don't think this is the case.

Well, the next two races have not gone well....

In the first race i was with the top two guys till the last turn of lap 2. Off i to the sand, so hard and fast i couldn't stop before hitting the far away outside wall, 5 sec penalty for hitting barrier. ffs pd, really? Lol spent the rest of the race just trying practicing really since i was all alone.

Next race was going great, solid race up front with two other guys. One falls off with a mistake late lap 3. Now i am telling myself "don't mess it up" over and over (perhaps not exactly what i was saying) and sure enough i ever so slightly touched the dirt coming off the first turn on the last lap. Managed to still finish 6th at least

DR is taking a beating this week. Gain a couple hundred, lose a thousand....

Well i am done racing. Not sure what the hell is wrong with me this morning, but i just had three amazing races with top end guys and should have taken a 2nd or 3rd in each of them. Instead i completly mess up last lap either drift the top of the hill or mess up the last turn and end up in the dirt.

It's time to stop, i don't mind the loses necessarily, but i am just getting pissed at myself for stupid mistakes and starting to hate a track i have always enjoyed. See if i can do anybetter by myself out there to improve my qt. Then back to the nord and the 930 for a few laps before work....

Btw... happy friday folks :cheers::gtpflag:

GR3 yamagiwa OH HELL YEAH i've missed that combo so bad!

Yup, Yamagiwa forward is my favourite track! Gr3 isn’t my fav, but I’m getting better at it now so this should be another good combo for me I hope. :)

For those asking, sometimes the races don’t all pop up on KP in the same day, Race C will probably show up later today or tomorrow. :)

Also, next week’s Race A only says N300 Specially provided car and not “One Make”, so it could be the group of N300 cars we’ve had before or a new group of N300’s to choose from. :)

I can't recall seeing only two weekly races before. I guess they're trying to save money. The time trials are the third race.

It happened a couple weeks ago and I asked the same question, that’s the only reason I remember lol. It’s like they show up one at a time or something, or are on a time delayed release. :)

Right now it only shows B’s races going until Friday too.

I know what you're talking about, but I think that was when it showed all the races, but it only showed them scheduled through Wednesday. I really don't think I've ever seen just two of them pop up. Maybe it's just a glitch and it will show up later. Maybe they'll be doing something new.

That’s what it’s doing with B right now, it only shows races up to Friday. I think you’re right about the last time though now that I think about it.

Then again, they don't even really intend to tell us in advance what the next races are. We're just lucky that Milouse found a way to figure out their codes. If it wasn't for him, we'd always just have to wait until Monday mornings.

Starting to feel a bit better, still having a rough time keeping it on the black stuff though. I am running fast today but sloppy....

Just finished my first race of the day. Crashed. Finished 12th. Never be on the outside of anybody in any of those turns, ever. :ouch:

Maybe some day I'll learn to just back off, and be more patient. :O

It’s been a good couple days of racing so far this week but I’m taking today off until FIA tomorrow.

I managed to pick up 9 or 10 wins so far. Got my first few wins ever at Big Willow, and another 6-7 wins at Maggiore. Good qualy times definitely helped as I managed a top 30 time for Race B (1:16.6) and a top 40 time for C (1:36.8).

Really enjoyed Race C yesterday with all the different cars and strategies. It seems like PD worked out a good one where a one-stopper and a no-stopper are both competitive and have the chance to win depending on traffic, fuel, tyres and mistakes. Most of my wins came from no-stopping in the R18 but a few came from one-stoppers and that’s how I achieved my best overall time of 18:36. I went into each race not knowing what strategy I was going to use usually until the end of the first or second lap. I love when the R18 is competitive bc it’s one of my favorite cars to drive.

I might have a few more daily races in me tomorrow in between FIA practice and actual races. Looking forward to more!

Suzuka again, N200, are there any classes that haven't been on Suzuka yet?

Lemme check

N700 and up is missing!

Actually the only time anything above N600 was used was N800 on Monza and that resulted in avg 6 SR loss per player per race. Over 278K SR was lost in 46K recorded races that week.

GR.3 at Yamigawa is alright, not that exciting though. Wide track with even wider track limits, lots of opportunities for bumping and getting away with it. It was the most fun in the Fittipaldi EF7

Tokyo South outer loop is the wrong version, the inner loop is much better. We've had the inner loop only once (daily C) when the track was introduced. It was awesome, I did 105 races that week, all from the back and ended with avg 9.5 position gain per race. Outer loop I've only done 6 races before getting bored of the track lol.

Back to this week. I did a bunch of races in the morning, SR back to 99 after yesterday's decent to 52 SR. The first 2 races were easy, WRX and 86 CRB on first attempt. The 86 is the meta for a reason, fastest lap on first attempt. Then the Mustang, that took 3 races. First I went off by myself as after the 86 the Mustang understeers like an oil tanker. Then my SR started getting into SR.S territory which meant more and more bumping with the resulting SR Downs slowing my progress. Followed by another 3 attempts for the Trophy, above 90 SR hardly anybody can pass without making contact...

A CRB without any contact is +7 SR on Big Willow. However any contact without SR Down still takes 1 SR away while SR Down takes 3 SR away. A time penalty takes away a lot, those 4 unfair penalties yesterday had me decent to SR.B. A single SR Down time penalty seems to be -10 SR as I went from 99 to 96 from the first 4 sec BS penalty. Add the usual SR Downs from a draft bump or someone not paying attention in a corner and you go down fast.
