Just did a no stop with the NSX on DT. Did not qualify and went from 15th to 2nd doing it. It took a lot of fuel saving to make that happen, had to change fuel modes down to 3 or 4 for a few laps after everyone pit, which is something I rarely like doing.

Edit:
Did the same in the following race, went from 16th to 3rd by no stopping. I was more conservative this time with short shifting and I still had to change my fuel mode.

These are in mixed DR A/B emea lobbies btw. Not quite convinced it’s the fastest strategy yet.

You don’t have to go to fuel map 3/4. Shift when the lights appear, but also watch your downshifts. Wait for the revs to go lower before you downshift.

NSX seems to be very fast with this strategy.

I did 3 attempts at race C this morning, all three I got rear ended with SR Down, all three I went in the pit and didn't finish the race after getting bumped off back to last. Perhaps it will be better later or I'll try no stop and stay out of the way at the start. Apparently to most DT: Seaside is a whole new mystery track  Damn PD shuffling the brake points around all the time

Each step down on TCS is about a half second lap time improvement.... after you learn the throttle control necessary to not power slide off the exit of ever corner. I'm running TCS2 and have tried TCS1. At my (advanced) age I may never reach TCS off (reaction times too slow) but if you can it's worth the effort of being a bit slow and losing a few CRB bonuses during the learning curve.

i drive everything now with TCS off and that wasn't intentional. I had never even owned a driving sim before GTS and after watching vids and listening to advice on here i gradually began to test the waters. Gr4 was where i started and found that quite easy to get to grips with - getting into a habit of 'brake on the straight / lift in the corner / foot on the gas when straight again'... trying the same thing in Gr3 and i was like bambi on ice, Gr2 & Gr1 seemed like an eternity away - but if you keep at it, it becomes the norm. I found myself racing and then noticing a couple of laps in that i'm on TCS 0 and then the panic sets in thinking don't spin, don't spin, don't spin!!
Having said all that, there is an element of snobbery about driving with TCS on and that you've not really achieved anything if you're using driving aids... there was a David Perel video on youtube where he raced with TCS1 and loads of people in uproar and disgust about this ghastly behaviour... who cares?!?

I sort of worked out a strategy for the NSX. I might get me some wins if I stop crashing at the chicane of death.

Full revs until t1. Short shift at 6500 for the rest of the lap.

Go to fuel mode 2 from lap 2-8. Short shift at around 6500 when you can.

Go back to fuel mode 1 for the last two laps and shift at 7000. Use whatever extra fuel you have left on the last lap. Lots of people are vulnerable at the last part of the race.

I brake just before a corner (sometimes just entering into the turn) with the throttle down and downshift at the same time, when you hear the engine come off of the rev limiter ease off of the gas and let go of the brake. I got some quicker lap times doing that and less cars bumping me in the rear. TCS is off. If you let off the brake before the rev limiter is off it's an instant spinout.

I tried a couple of race C last night and can say the jag was good(ish) for qually but thirsty in the race. Lots of bumping and banging in the pack, but most people working on fuel saving means not as many sacrifices ar the bus stop to make for easier passing. Not sure everyone has the pace for a no stop, A/S driver trying it in a Beemer my second race last night did something iffy as I pased him 4 times during race due to my issues. Can say that if you pit go ahead and get the tires. People jumped me in pits in two races by doing no tires and in 2 laps I was able to drive by with no issues at all as they couldn't hold it in the esses.

Now to try again without being my own worst enemy. Ran out exiting last corner on first race, passed by pack to drop from 6 to 12. Third round I scratched my finger and accidentally ended pit stop with 2 laps shy on fuel. In order to stretch it out I lost over 20 seconds to leaders, but was able to salvage my SR from previous race carnage. Not sure Race B is a goer, gr3 at the lake seems to bring out tempers.

Just saw some Psycho in a pony pit and win ;) good race 👍

1:46.6 in the Lambo for race C, I had to lift into the chicane of death, don't have the turn in point nailed yet... Too scared!!! :scared::lol::confused:
You're not alone. I only try it at full throttle in qualifying/practice. In the race, the time lost for hitting the wall is too great for me to take the gamble. A brief lift probably only costs about .2 or .3

Completely screwed over by someone in ghosting from a penalty they were SERVING ON THE RACING LINE and trying to avoid them. Idiots
:banghead:🤬:grumpy:
Edit: this happened going into the fast esses

I'm currently racing on my 2nd account and it's carnage through there so I have to lift 99% of the time but then again it's C/B ratings on there for now

If the name of the game is not spinning yourself out, then why not use T/C? All of my wins came with TCS on. I've adapted my driving style to that mindset.

No one escapes the chicane of death. NO ONE!

I also lift as well. Maybe one day I’ll be brave.

I've always had to lift on the second part (first if running the reverse/II layout), but the first (second in reverse layout) on the throttle. I have to slow down in order to get the weight to transfer & get the proper turn in for it.

Race C is absolutely awful, due to appauling driving standards. Full race of SR S drivers, and people are driving like imbiciles - smashed off track time and time again. Race B is the absolute opposite - some excellent races.

RAce B for me for the rest of the week.

Three Race Cs. Three times I ran out of fuel within sight of the finish. One of which I lost by...

0.007s.

Not inspired to play gts this week at all. The new miata has been showcased three weeks in a row, and since it is completely neutered by bop and no fun to drive for the most part i dont have much of an itch to try around tsukuba. I really am starting to hate that track...

Hope everyone had a good weekend :gtpflag:
