WRX and S660 races have been at Tsukuba with lengths of 5 and 7 laps, and they're dreadful. The track is too small and slow for racing pretty much anything besides karts.

IMO Tsukuba would work, but it would work better with a variety of cars on the grid. This one make stuff just isn't cutting it. You mentioned WRX; I thought that was OK, would have been better, IMO, if it had just been a GR B overall race. It's a nice track to drift on. It would have been, now that I think about drifting, the place to have the Porsche 911 race a couple of weeks ago, as opposed to that disaster at Tokyo.

Well first race went ok, started 3rd, in the mix until near the end, picked up a 4s penalty for not a great deal in my opinion (he made a mistake in the last corner and he tried to cut across me back to the apex rather than use the outside of the track, he ended up spinning), then I ran out of fuel literally yards short of the line so finished 7th instead of 6th (5th without pen). Might share the incident if I can work out the best way to! Just did a video save as opposed to an in game save then everyone can decide if it was just one of those things or whether I deserved more than the 4s penalty!

Second race was decent, started 2nd, was clear after a few laps that the race for 1st was between the guys 3rd to 6th and after a good fight, ended up 3rd because I made a mess of the hairpin before the death chicane. That and a guy in a Megane (who ended up winning) who clearly ignores the fact you're supposed to make one defensive move - not three.

Third race was a high quality field, started 5th, ended 6th after same 🤬 in a Megane decided to dive up the inside into the first left of the fast esses, pushing me off then as I get back on track I collide with someone else and get myself a penalty.

All in all a decent night's racing, felt half competitive! Gained 300 DR but down to 85 SR so need a clean one tomorrow or I'll be following the field around at Maggiore for a couple of races!

Yooooo. I was going to post a Tsukuba video with the old lancers and old WRXs doing battle. Lo and behold, we're getting the old Impreza GC!

One race A. Full bar connection before the countdown then it drops to one red bar. Stops off line and let the pack move ahead then follow. Got SR up but lost most of my Dr. Back in Dr B again...

Ayeayeaye! What a torrid evening down by the seaside...

2 Races.

Race 1. P4 > P15. Early doors, found myself going backwards through a field that had done far more races here than me, but in my eagerness to cling on I pushed too hard. Pitted in P16 and tried an undercut with fresh tyres, assuming no one else would change them. Actually finished P14 but took a 2sec penalty for being t-boned through the first chicane on last lap when the guy I passed refused to concede. Couldn't serve it and was only 1.8 secs ahead at the flag...

Race 2. P7 > Rage Quit. I'd ummed and arred about whether to do another and as I thought we were better than that, we went again. Ended up in a lobby with a load of DR/Bs including a super-cowboyjon (who may or may not be @cowboyjon ??) on pole. All was going well, sitting in behind a Slophy. Could have passed through T4-5 on L1 but sat in for the slip stream. Got punted from behind into the Esses and by the time the dust had settled we were P20 facing the wrong way. Against all my better judgements and behavious I really couldn't be bothered to do another 20 minute recovery drive. So I got out of dodge. Haven't looked at my DR/SR yet...:scared:

So anyway we went back into QTT to get rid of some frustration. @Kuraudo set a 47.5xx target in the NSX. A whole 9 tenths faster than what I managed yesterday... So I thought I'd give it a whirl. My first thoughts were that it felt rapid, but I could not get it to go round any quicker than my 48.4xxx Jag time for love nor money. Not even with some go faster mushrooms...

So we went back to the F-type.

I came at you bro.

47.4xx ;)

Guilty, as charged.

Sorry I didn't stick around to watch the glory! But with the rate I was going in that one they would have been waving the blue flags at me if I'd carried on!

Probably the only chance I would have had to see you on track too. You were long gone up the road by the time I'd got tangled up and called it a day.

Incidentally, we lost 2k DR this evening. We're hanging onto DR/C by a thread. So recent results have been frustrating for two reasons.

1 > I feel like actually better at this level than it looks like.
2 > I haven't had a good enough replay to make a video from yet.

Yesterday I reported a player for the first time. I planned a quiet race at Gr 3. Race B, to improve SR, but some douche on a Supra kept bumping at me, just to take me off track and two corners ahead going off track alone by himself, just to get again on my back, three or four different occasions during the race. Finished 3 places behind me, but my SR dropped 20 points, just as i received notifications of SR drop every time I was put off track. He took some penalties but it cost me about 18-20 seconds on a 4 lap races.
Don’t suppose you were in a Ferrari per chance? I saw some ass of a supra destroying a Ferrari the other day!

I can beat that.

2 Race B's yesterday and it was like ping pong. I even got a 4 second penalty for "Spinning A Car Off Track", when I hit the wall coming out of the Esses before the banked right turn.

They hit me whilst I was off the track, spun themselves, hit the same wall, and bang....penalty and SR down for me. Nothing to them!

Sticking to Race C in the Evo. It's just a little safer than Race B, and more SR to gain.
Wow! Yeah, you definitely got it worse than I did .

And while I loaded my video to you tube I had another go at seaside. Punted early as I pulled off the racing line to let everyone by, then punted again as an impatient 1 stopper absolutely must get by me in the esses on lap 8 so that he can get to second place, even though leader was 15 ahead. Oh joy. At least got back above a 50 SR now but still not getting many points despite only 2 touches of any kind, only 7. Maybe PD listened about making SR harder to get just when I didn't need them to. Doh.

Also embarrassing to watch the replay and see my mistakes in all their glory. Ugh. I really got some rear taps in while trying to check my gear.

So seen a few people posting some “bad days” let’s call it, thought I’d share this, had a great week last week with the Gr.3 at catalyunya nearly getting to A rating, then come Monday and the new DT Race, the downfall

How many races did you have to do/win to make 12k DR in a session/day??

And where do you find the time!

Seriously I'm lucky if I can get 2-3 races in whenever I get on. And I guess that tends to be the issue with DR instability. Not enough time to consolidate. So we tend to go from one extreme to the other!

I think tbh I got really lucky and discovered the no stop early! And in the lower lobbies no one was using it! Was about 5 races I’d say with 3 wins? And probably the same today.

I work in Motorsport and we’re in a summer break at the moment so got quite a bit of spare time!

Yes, there is a fuel load difference. Helps to make very steady driving if you can smooth things out a bit as it can sometimes balance with tire wear.

On to questions, anyone know how much is max SR gain in race C this week? After my disasterous 2 races costing me 57 SR points I am unsure how to work my way back up as I know if I get in the racing pack I'll get bashed. Looking to practice a couple fuel saving races learning manual again from the back. Just know I get to end up dropping a gazillion DR points to do it. @Sven Jurgens got any ideas?

EDIT: make that practicing manual again. Can say I didn't find it that hard, just hard to keep a watch on for fuel saving. Most of my problems with the manual were due to me having the downshift on the wrong button (will fix that) and what gear to use after being punted to Narnia in my race from hell. Rest of it wasn't too bad for a first race.

I haven't dropped in SR yet so can't confirm, but usually it's around 0.4 SR per clean sector, DT: Seaside has 3 sectors x 10 laps, thus about 12 SR per clean race. It could be as high as 15 though since that seems to be the minimum number for a daily C race. Last week was 15 as well per race.

I tried a no stop race in the Cayman, this happened

SR Down for me, crb gone. That was an A/S driver, I'm B/S. How do I get SR down for being on the receiving end of a dive bomb. One race was enough for me, lot of red ratings in that race including the A+ drivers. I'm heading back to No man's sky.

Seaside. Feel like I am leaving a solid 3/4 second on the table with a 1.48 flat in qualy, will aim to improve tonight.

I was pretty close, had half an hr to qualify a few laps and managed a 47.3. I cant go much faster, feel like j am leaving a second on the table at turn 2 but I just cannot master it.

I need to stick to this late night racing thing, when it's a risky combo. I used the third strategy, for this one. Partial fuel save, splash and dash end of lap five, don't change tyres.

1 tenth off getting the fastest lap, and I skimmed the wall exiting that chicane on lap ten, which got rid of my CRB.

+700 DR, and 12 SR.

First race went pretty well until the chicane of death bit me on lap 4 or 5, was up to 6th or 7th I think at the time, gonna try it again next race. @Qyn was in that race, he looked to have had a good race from what I saw, he finished just ahead of me in the end. Good race man!

@Qyn It was a pleasure racing with you tonight man, I apologize if ended up bumping you at any point, things got a little hectic at times with all the traffic. Great racing man!

Both of my races ended the same way, I’ll let the videos do the talking for me.

3 Race Cs tonight, and a mixed bag, as ever this week with some of these lunatics!

Race 1, went for the Jag, my preferred steed for these races.... @GOTMAXPOWER was there, battling for the win.....I made up a couple of places by the end, ran 3rd for half a lap, but pitted for fuel only.

Race 2, and went for the Merc, but a mistake, as after a good start from 9th, I got up to 5th after turn 3, I went backwards, slow as hell on the straights, and got pushed around by a couple of others too....... @GOTMAXPOWER was in that one too! ;)

Race 3, and went back to the Jag....Started 5th this time, with @Bivittavus88 there with me. Had a good start, up to 3rd until lap 4, then got shafted from behind, and got a 3 sec penalty for it?? So pitted for fuel and tyres came out 14th, and ran all the way to the end, flat chat. Somehow I nabbed 2nd by the chequer.

Not a bad night, but I still hope, and want a win, before this ends on Sunday!!

Some of these NSX users:tdown: Almost as bad as when the Slophy debuted.

This dude is blocking and fighting with me, knowing I have to pit in the Subaru. Instead of letting me go like this Cayman has for both races, he wants to rub panels. Okay, bet! We do, I get 5 seconds, but not until I slow right down and allow another player to grab 2nd place before the PZ. ANyway, that NSx wound up pitting towards the end of the race and went from 2nd to like 8th. I finished where I started.

Oh, the Lancer was great!

I'm calling it a night.

Started 3rd. This one featured everyone's favourite hamster, @HammyMansell Was a good race, apart from cocking up the chicane, early on. Still, it's another top 5 finish.

Aaaaand, win no 21. I don't think I've ever won two races in a day before. Started 2nd, took the lead for a lap, then lost it to the pole sitter, going flat out in a Huracán. I pitted end of lap 5, he pitted end of 6.

Managed to hold him off until the tight right before the chicane, where he made a mistake. Took the win with 6 seconds between us.

Recovery is going well. But, I won't be racing any earlier than midnight for this combo.
