Tokyo provides good, high speed racing as long as you have the required race craft and patience.

If the leader is somehow faster or had the similar pace with you, just follows and don't try any stupid move.
After 2 or 3 laps you'll be out of the chaotic group which means the real fight begins.

The key is always the twisty section. The one who can break the tow in twisty sections will win.
the usual pattern is to grab the lead at lap 6 or 7 and pull out a relatively good lap to get rid of your opponent.

I think I was in the Atenza when I had to literally chop an advancing Huracan. It was to say, "Wait til the straight!". Instead of trying to force a pass in the esses, he would have passed me anyway if he was patient. Just because anyone gets a tow in that section, doesn't automatically mean it's safe to pass. Especially, when I feel I'm quick there. It wound up hitting the wall at some point.

Edit: Tried the C7. Pretty good powerband.

"Older" daily race. No battle, just driving.

Btw: Regarding "Older", the last to digits of the mainly seen drivernames are their year of birth!

I'm thinking of putting the word "BEHAVE" across the back of my cars to try and ward off such stupidity! Although I'm slightly concerned it may encourage silliness!

Had another go tonight, glutton for punishment. 4 races on tokyo. Getting comfortable with the circuit but have to say that gaining SR seems to be like gettng blood from a stone. Mostly clean races, 1 race where I got 1 wall penalty and never touched another car, only gained 3 SR. 2 other races got me 1 and 2 more points. Lost lots of chances 1 race where a guy spent the first half of the lap trying to get the wall tap to work on me but luckily it didn't. He could have passed me clean shortly after if he didn't wreck himself trying that stunt. Had a couple of drivers that were good to race, but down in the B SR ranks it gets a bit hairy.

I checked out profiles on kudosprime of some of the crazier drivers I have been dealing with, 1 guy who called me dirty has only had his SR over 60 3 days total and been playing way longer than me. I'm embarrassed to be down near what appears to be a high point for him. Will figure it out somewhere. Lambo works ok for me too, but there is something on that track I am missing as my times are just average-ish. At least I am gaining against a reset. Current tally is up 3 SR overall for the night. Ugh, this may take a while

I owe an apology to someone, I think I got him "revenge punted". I hope muzzamuzzad2002 reads this forum. Ran a B race today and accidentally nudged a lime green Huracan with a Japanese flag entering T3 (the sharp, slow right hander at the top of the hill). I saw it coming but didn't move off line quick enough to miss. By the time he checked his mirror all he could see was muzzamuzzad2002, who passed him before he recovered. Unfortunately on the next slow right he punted muzzamuzzad2002 off then quit.

Other than that, two races with blue S and a net 200 gain in DR. Lot's of dents on my rear bumper in the first but gained positions in both.

I'd add patience. On tracks like Tokyo people make mistakes or go for passes which simply aren't on. Over time you can start to read situations. Leave space, back out of the throttle if needs be, give people the opportunity to have their accident without getting dragged into it. I would guess that 50% of my positions gained have been penalty zone, 30% where people make mistakes and I profit and maybe 20% (probably less) actual passes.
Absolutely. My only race win, started P10, made one passing manouver, gained the remaining places courtesy of crashes and punts.

I decided to try out the QTT in race B on my main account after some more midfield (mis)adventures on my alt. It didn't take me as long as I expected to get to grips with the murderous Huracán, and I managed a 1:28.993. Less than 6 tenths from the WR. :)

More racing. Less qualifying. :D
Absolutely! That is one of my top philosophies.
Sure, I understand people who practice qualifying hundreds of laps for FIA races or the cup series (which I never participate in).
But for Daily A or B, you're wasting racing time if you do that.
Why worry about qualifying times if you're not even gonna race?

Anyway, I'll be on Daily A around 1 pm or so. I usually pick red on Saturday. Come find me and have some more fun!

I didn't even notice your BoR name in the list until SturkMurph called you out... I was like "Holy crap! Totally forgot about Pigems' other other name."

That was some good stuff!

Yes, I know it sounds like the dullest combination ever, but when the racing is good it is pretty amazing how this race works.

That makes sense, I rarely use that account. It’s technically my sons account and we shared it(and his PS4) when I first started playing GTS until it got to a point when I was using it more than him, so I had to make my own account at that point and get my own PS4. I agree, even the TT is kind of boring, but with all of us in those races last night I was having a ton of fun! :)

You should come race with us in the lobby tonight, we start at 9pm EST and do 2 of each Daily race and have a ton of fun doing it.

Nice consistent driving. I recommend putting the radar on instead of the TC meter.
I prefer no HUD, but with these type close lap times between players, I might switch TCS. Got caught out when I thought TCS was on, but it was at "0". I tried the radar, just a bit distracting for me. The little red lines I can see a bit better than the red dots.

Ran the GT-R just then. Got more penalties in that race than the whole week. Felt fast. Started okay and moved up, but one penalty bred another and another.

Hey honey(s)! I'm home!

Had a week and a half away. It was lovely. Back into the mire now, but got an hour or so online...

Took the AMG'16 to RBR, threw down a modest 31.8xx, got bored of QTT so went for a race for the hell of it.

Started P14... Yikes... But it was fun. Got a chance to practise the old 'keep it on the island, between the lines, pointing the right way' racecraft which a lot of the others seemed to lack! Finished P6...

Not a bad way to get rid of the cobwebs. But that's probably all I'm getting until Wednesday!

Never made it to gts last night. had a buddy that wanted to play wreckfest, so many laughs and a great night of videogame fun. But today will be different, should be there this afternoon around the same time.

They should dub the second corner "The Corner of Death", I think that is the place where I have earned most of my places this week, some one ahead feels pressured and gets on the gas too soon, spins to the right into the barrier.

I've beeen thinking about getting it. But, there's one thing that will break the deal for me...
I absolutely despise having to use triggers for gas and brake. Can the controller settings be changed so I can use right stick?
